the other thing to consider about Demski... with CFL players, we're not talking about millionaires... guys consider playing salary but also post playing career.... Demski likely already has business opportunities, maybe a job, and a home in Winnipeg.... and legacy... he could go down as winning 3 or 4 championships with his hometown team.... is playing somewhere else and getting an extra 15 or 20k worth it when you've got all that at home?

Did the Jets play a solid game? Definitely not; especially defensively, but with the chances they had, they could have put up 8-10 goals last night. Easily. Walters all but confirmed Demski and Jeffcoat on WST today. Admitted most of these contracts have been in place for a long time and just staggering releasing them.

The way this regime drafts/develops OL, it's not as big of hit as it would be for some teams. We didn't miss a beat when Goossen retired or when Chung left. As mentioned, we have guys already in place to slide in, should Couture not be back. I don't know that we actually have too many draft picks we're waiting on at the moment. Looking at the picks from 2020-22, most are already here or have been sent packing. Cole Adamson is the only one I can think of that I'd consider an up and comer. 2020: Noah Hallett, Brendan O’Leary-Orange, Marc Liegghio, Nicholas Dheilly, Kyle Rodger, Tanner Cadwallader, Bleska Kambamba 2021: Liam Dobson, Redha Kramdi, Patrice Rene, Robbie Lowes, Kyle Borsa, Shae Weekes 2022: Tyrell Ford, Cole Adamson, Chris Ciguineau, Jeremy Kapelanski, Cedrick Lavigne, Konner Burtenshaw

When I was a kid, my dad and his work buddies built a "permie", that sat along the Winnipeg River, tucked into the bush alongside a big bay. It was there all year. In winter, you'd go set up tip-up's (old times!) in the bay and just watch for flags from the window of the shack. Amazing to think back on those days. Now, I like to be more mobile and hunt the fish that are constantly roaming. Having the big tent is nice for the overnighters, but during the day, it's so important to stay mobile. We drill a **** ton of holes and constantly move around. I desperately want to buy the new "live sonar" (I think Garmin LiveScope has my vote right now, but the Humminbird MegaLive is tempting as well...) which will really change the game for us...

Logic would say that BLM would run for the hills away from any contract offer by the RIders. Their OL, coaching, roster all screams last place and broken QB. That being said, never underestimate BLM's hubris. He may think he can excel despite having no OL or quality receivers. Also, never underestimate the RIders ability to make a mind numbingly stupid financial offer to BLM. If smart heads prevail on both sides, BLM seems like a poor fit for the RIders and vice versa. I'm not seeing many smart heads in this potential conversation though.

Hopefully he comes back soon, second year player means he has no choice but to return to the Bombers.

Kolankowski got better and better as the season went on. He started out slow but by the time Couture came back, I think a lot of people were wondering if we weren't almost better off just leaving Kola in there because things had been going so well. I would have no problem if they had to start the season with him. Dobson is a Manimal, for sure, but at this point, I'm still way more comfortable with Kola starting ahead of him. Couture is a beauty for sure, and hopefully they can work it out with him...

Only problem is they still don't have a serviceable QB, IMO...

Elks in my opinion at the very least leap frog over the rough riders. I hate to say it but Jones brought in some good players that showcased their talent in the last half of the season. I guess ultimately it will depend on their QB play whether or not they can become real contenders but I have them out of the basement in the west so far.

I don't mind smaller Lake Trout, but I rarely catch any under 10 lbs and I find over that they are oily. It's not the taste per se. I use the 1 lbers if I am off my home lake and it drives me nuts when I purchase them. There goes a case of beer. lol

I use a 20 lber on my lil buddy. The price of 1 lbers is insane.
