  1. Wonder if Rhymes wanted to fight McEvoy and Campbell in the parking lot after their offer?

  2. Schoen won't get anything extra unless he adds years to his deal. Wouldn't be surprised if he got bumped up to the 110-120 range this year with a 2 year 500k extension or something like that with 50 percent guaranteed in 2025. Not sure why the concept of a player being of more value than guys being paid much more than him is offensive.

  3. I find it curious that nobody has "agreed to terms" with Sheed yet. I would have thought there'd be lots of early interest in him, if, indeed, he's not returning to Winnipeg. We'll see tomorrow, I suppose...

  4. Yes, agreed. After all, teams in pro football always honour the contracts and don’t historically just use guys up like they are assets and nothing more.

  5. Love it. NFL has had a similar thing for a few years now. Anything that generates discussion and debate on sites like this or on Twitter, etc, is good for the league.

  6. Walters would be dumb to let him play this year at his rookie salary when he could get a contract extension. Less of a question of what is fair and more about what is smart IMO.

  9. Non Bomber Off Season Update: One of my riding Brothers gets the Grey Cup a week from today on the Holiday Monday. We're tailgating and having a party. Expecting 70+ friends. Menu is looking good. Any MBB posters in the GTA East who'd like to pop-in can PM me. Speaking for myself, it'll be the final time this off season that I celebrate our Championship. Afterward, the climb begins again.

  10. I have a feeling that once his NFL window closes we will be discussing extension with him. Nothing immediate but certainly before the season ends.

  11. no no, instead they made CFL mix tapes stop producing highlight reels. Cause why let a young person help your brand grow? Their core fans are approaching retirement age, they don't need no kids liking the CFL!!!!

  12. The NFL can go ahead and let him slip through the cracks, their loss is our gain (both our team and our league). What a relief it will be to have him back for another season on such a bargain

  13. We need long term variable rate contracts that rise and fall with demands of the market. Have fun with managing that by season's end, GMs

  14. You give him about 10-15k less than what Bailey made last yr and if he continues with the torrid numbers....then for 2024 he gets a nice bump

  15. Justin Lawrence, Michael Couture, Sukh Chung, Drew Desjarlais, Figeroa, Dennis, that is a lot of olman that O'Day failed to land.

  16. God I would love to see him have just the shits of a season now. It would amuse me.

  17. yeah he would be a quality rotation guy...See they Signed Avery Williams....also re-signed Reggie White Jr. so obviously they open and doing business....an 11th hour offer to keep Harris would be classic hahaha

"The vast majority of the nation’s trains continue to rely on a braking system first developed in 1868. Trains equipped with these traditional air brakes make emergency stops more slowly and with higher rates of damage than trains equipped with ECP brakes, according to both safety advocates and the Federal Railroad Administration. While air brakes stop train cars individually, as air pressure moves sequentially from one car to the next, ECP brakes operate using an electronic signal and can stop an entire train much faster." successfully lobbied against requiring this. https://www.levernews.com/rail-companies-blocked-safety-rules-before-ohio-derailment/ destruction of a town? who cares. most of today's company executives would rather go have the company of business, than be a good corporate citizen, and take smaller bonuses. wait till the oil corps can't service their debts, other obligations. holy cow.

  19. The O Line and at QB are the main areas where it is a must, and absolute requirement to have a succession plan in place. Pretty much any other area of the team can be patched up through free agency, but you've got to have those two handled.

  20. OT is not a place I wanna cheap out. When Stan and Yoshi pull the pin I am hopeful that Walters will swing for the fences and get the next best OT available in FA. That being said, maybe we uncover an absolute stud or two through recruitment but even if we do I would want them extended ASAP. If we are looking to replace at league mins in will be in the LBer, DL, secondary, and receivers...or a move to a cheaper IMP RB if need be.

  21. Hey, the off season can be a long slog. Thought I'd offer the invite.

  22. Then why go through the bother of contracts at all? Nationally televised pickup games every weekend!

That O line is the reason Chiefs won. After that debacle against Tampa ,Chiefs went and rebuilt that o line. Mahommes is a special player ,love em or hate em.

The NFL should be embarrassed playing their marquee game of that field.

  25. That's what I think should happen. Just saying I don't think it's fair that the rookie of the year stays at mimimum salary.

  26. Dunk said Williams was traded because BC felt the guy behind him was ready - it was clear they traded him because he wasn’t signing next year and got decent value. He also said the Bombers are going younger at C with Kolankowski despite Couture being younger. I don’t hate 3DN but their personal opinions are basically without merit.

  27. Rookie deal but Wade gets him a $100,000per year job with Pinacle.

Mahomes with a big second half on the bad ankle, guy is a baller. Kelce is a riot with his post game comments. Chiefs oline was good.

  31. Also, he wasn’t very good anyway. Neither of those guys is fit to so much as run to the store for Dan Clark.

  32. Sounds like a perfect fit for the Riders

  33. As far as I know, yes. But it’s only in the last year of your new deal.

  35. Co-op had the twin packs of pork tenderloin on sale for $3.99/lb this week. Walmart was twice the price. Safeway has asparagus for $3.49/lb and for February a nice tender size too. Did a quick indirect smoke on the tenderloin and grilled the asparagus. Pretty fine Sunday dinner. https://opeforum.com/attachments/6d1eda12-cf65-4cac-8a2c-15a7d17caac7-jpeg.364657/ https://opeforum.com/attachments/58dd9b2d-29d0-4f3a-9966-bcb86251e973-jpeg.364658/

  36. Better off with either Parker or Houston on rookie contracts
    2 points
  37. Well, that means his brain is still working. You may notice that Sankey said that he "loved being apart of it" (the Riders) rather than he loved "being a part of it". A Freudian slip?

  38. I like Mike Jones but don't see a spot with Nichols, Darby, Houston, Parker, Lawrence and Rose.

  42. Yeah he would have to stay on it..as it's a signed contract ..but I expect a restructure and extension...not huge money this yr but if he continues the success 2024 will be significantly higher

    Game 53 : Chicago

Stayed up for the first goal. Kind of felt, as soon as they got their legs under them and score a goal, it would be over. And, I was right. Playing Chicago, after 11 days, was a gift.

  44. Was so frustrating listening to him fawn over Rourke last year. Especially his inability to understand that half a season of work isn't more impressive than a full season of work.
