Sanford is way over 300...think he was about 350 at the regional last year. But hit more than 8.5 feet on the broad jump so an athletic fat guy. Played both guard spots for UBC. Tackle length, guard core.4 points -

2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)
JCon and 2 others reacted to SpeedFlex27 for a topic
I think I've told the story before where the Stamps refuse to do what the Bombers do. To have a 3 or 5 game flex pack. They have no special packages for families. The club used to have the Safeway & London Drugs Family Section where a ticket was $30 at one of those stores. They had them for years but Safeway no longer sells those tickets. There's virtually no marketing/advertising for tickets of any kind. It's no wonder the team didn't have more than 15-18,000 at most games last year. The Stamps have to be the worst (laziest? cheapest??) team in the CFL. Speaking of Flex Packs, I have to decide if I'm going to renew my 3 game pack. I got a call from the Bombers last week asking me what I was going to do. I want to renew but I have a knee replacement booked at the Rockyview Hospital on April 19th. I won't be able to travel for 6-8 weeks as I could be at risk for a blood clot. Then I'll have to do some pretty intense physio to get my range of motion back in my knee. So, by the time I can actually go to a game it'll be September. I'm hoping to get to the Banjo Bowl. That's my goal. Go to the Banjo Bowl. I'll probably give up my Flex Pack for 2023.3 points -

Come on guys, 15 minute cities are a clear plot by the wef to keep us locked into small areas with armed guards and electric fences being fed insects because they are going to ban real meat while the government controls us using the chips they put into the vaccines while the "elite" continue their satanic cult practices which includes pedophilia.2 points -

They have lots of unused space, great way to get families with youth involved and create great memories. If the Elks even can create a little excitement on the field2 points

The only problem with that assessment is that the Avs had a boatload of their top players hurt at that time....not an apples vs apples comparison imo.1 point

it's been a good week. We had 4 teams in the bonspiel, and the best 2 of the 4 remaining are the 2 Manitoba teams. Anything can happen in 10 ends, but sincerely hoping it's Einar vs Jones in the final, as it should be. Those would be the two best reps for Canada at Worlds. As for the Worlds, Canada doesn't really stack up the way it used to. Asian and Western-European teams are typically the ones to beat each year, and Canada is somewhere in the Top 5....... not the dominating force we once were.1 point

all those oligarchs should get a union, those are some serious workplace safety concerns they got there. (this is a joke. the oligarch's union is called "capitalism.") war nerd spew: inflatable weapons go at least as far back as WWII. In the runup to d-day, the Allies had an entire army worth of inflatable tanks staged to attack Pas de Calais. Nazis bought it hook line and sinker; even after the Allies were ashore in Normandy Hitler refused to authorize a full counterattack because he was looking at photos of this massive undeployed floaty army and that convinced him that Normandy was a feint. so yeah, inflatable weapons are old-school antifascist friends.1 point

I endured three years in southern Alberta near High River and have never regretted the decision to get the hell out of there. It cost a lot of money to make the move but worth every penny. Manitoba is not Eden, but much more sane overall despite Stefansson et al trying to change that. I remember some 30 years ago then-Prime Minister Jean Chretien saying after visit to Alberta, that he understood Quebec separatists and all the other marginal political interests in Canada but he just could not understand how the wealthiest province in Canada could have so much to be militant about,1 point -

Based on the recent history with the effectiveness of subpoena's, this matters why? Maybe they don't show, maybe they eventually show and plead the fifth and provide nonsensical nebulous testimony when they don't plead the fifth. For some Senators, for Trumps family and their highly influential enablers, this seems to be a pretty sound strategy in how they continually evade accountability and responsibility for their words and behaviours.1 point -

Simply having a side thought on something doesn’t automatically make it legitimate and worthy for discussion. It seems absurdness, drivel and lunacy believe they deserve to be at the adult table just cuz freedom of speech. That’s not how (no matter who you are) intelligent discourse works.1 point
