  3. Its too bad... there was real potential for that show. But, without ST:Disco, we would never have ST:SNW. I really enjoyed the first season of ST:SNW

  4. Little more of a challenge. To quote Paul Allen “This ain’t Detroit man …”. Let’s hope the Jets are up to this challenge 👍🏻

  5. They actually had Tuvok on the last episode, well sort of.... it was a changeling. Glad they put Discovery out of its misery.

But can you guarantee that all of the reports are completely true and objective? Have you not heard of copaganda?

So just as an example... The news outlet I work for doesn't put anything into a newscast that isn't directly from a press release. Zero liability and no bias on our end. If it's from the cops, ver batum press release. Governments? Same deal. If there's bias, it's not from us. It's not our mandate to interpret the press release and come up with our own version of events... That would be presenting bias, IMO.

It's incredible that people Trump has dragged thru the mud and run over all support him and his criminal activity, I hope when Trump is de fanged that the press and voters never forget these talk out of both sides of my mouth losers. Never let them live down the fact that they supported and enabled one of the worst humans to walk this planet.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called for the prosecution of President Biden in response to the indictment of former president Trump. Greene tweeted: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene @RepMTG Impeach Biden. He’s given us every reason and the family banking records and more are giving us receipts. But now that the gloves are off.. Prosecute any and all crimes. Enough of this witch hunt bullshit. It has been a crazy couple of days in the news, but this tweet by Rep. Greene is worth looking at, not for her call to prosecute Biden, but for how she and many other Republicans view the justice system and American politics. Rep. Greene seems to want President Biden prosecuted because it would even the score with Trump. It is irrelevant that President Biden has not committed crimes. He must be prosecuted because Trump was indicted. In the view of Rep. Greene, the justice system isn’t about upholding the rule of law. The justice system in the United States exists to target political enemies and exact revenge for allies who will be potentially held responsible for wrongdoing.

That's the perception. But the reality is, most don't, because it's not a sustainable approach

Narrator: he did not show his work. Mostly because there is none to demonstrate CBC having the worst bias in Canadian media. The cognitive dissonance in this thread would be funny if it weren't so rampant. There are around 28M taxpayers in this country (https://www.statista.com/statistics/478908/number-of-taxfilers-in-canada-by-province/). CBC received $1.4B in 2021 from the federal gov't (https://cbc.radio-canada.ca/en/impact-and-accountability/finances/annual-reports/ar-2021-2022/financial-sustainability/year-in-review-our-results-government-funding). I'm no mathemagician but that's about $50 per taxpayer over the course of a fiscal year - less than $1 a week. Whining about CBC's public funding seems pretty misguided when you consider what it provides for Canadians. Never fails with a select few.

  16. So my wife knows one of the Bomber team doctors from her professional work with him. We ran into him last night at the hockey game, and in the course of chatting he mentioned that Zach Collaros has still not recovered from his ankle sprain, in fact there has been a regression. Doctors were hoping it would progress on its own, but they are all but certain now that he actually tore some ligaments and it will require a surgical intervention. The club is keeping things hush hush for now because they don’t want to submarine season ticket sales, especially because they are going to throw in an “early bird” Grey Cup multi-season ticket package deal, and they don’t want sales to fall off a cliff. Bottom line, they are likely to announce a surgery in the coming weeks, and he will be out of commission for at least the first two months of the season at best. April fools!

There also exist people who simply want to be told what to do and how to live their lives and don't want the burden of determining their own course in life. Religion appeals to these people because they can be told what to do and they never have to question anything. These people also tend to be fearful of things they don't understand because of the aforementioned lack of thought.

  20. The one guy is a defensive end. The other guy screams SAM, strong half or maybe even WIL to me. As a 6'2 195 guy he's had seasons with 20 plus TFL/sacks so he's playing close to the line.

  22. Based on what? He’s not a place kicker in the CFL. His range is about 35 yards off a tee. Big leg for punting though. Bauming must have missed the guy playing for U of C last year. Thought he usually covers the Bisons. The only challengers for placekicking are the Americans. Interesting how deep they are digging on kickers and punters this off-season. Makes you wonder if they don’t really think they have a shot to re-sign Liegghio or if they don’t want to pay him.
