2019 playoff D was an entirely different animal than 2019 regular season defense.

What's happening today in Tennessee should be sounding alarm bells across the United States, Republicans in general are losing support across America and the only way they will keep power is by removing Democrats how have been democratically elected by the people of Tennessee illegally.

Carleton is one example of a program in multiple conferences, having sports teams in both OUA (Ontario) and RSEQ (Quebec). However, SFU is looking to stay in NCAA. Not sure USports would be as willing to allow a crossover into the US as it would a different Canadian province. But SFU seems uninterested anyway. Maybe their board was simply tired of funding a sports program (probably at some decent expense) that was a constant loser for the past 15 years, and found their out.

I'm not. Those years the Defense was good. In the playoffs very good! But not generational. There's a good chance this year's D can be just as good as the 2019 defense. There's no chance it will be as good as the 2021 defense. In fact, I'd bet good money we will never see a defense like that in our lifetime.

It was a totally fair question..... and tbh, I'm getting tired of Al coming in here once a week and dropping turd sandwiches for no reason. Nothing but negativity bombs once per week then gone again... oi vey.

SFU is a football shitshow. It was when my son played there & it's never changed. Kelly Bates, maybe the worst football head coach in existence all time went 0-39 as SFU's HC. The university allowed it to happen. He should have been fired after season two. He sucked the life out of his players the way he treated them. SFU built a $20 million stadium that seats only 2,500 people & SFU students will be paying for it on their fees for decades. SFU had no stadium when they had a football team. Now, they have a stadium & no football team. They hired an AD that tried to kill the UBC football program & was railroaded out of her job there because of it. So, naturally, SFU hires her after she was fired & she tries to do the same thing at SFU. Anyone see a pattern here?? She needs to be replaced. The admin never funded the team the way it should have been. Head Coaches, Coordinators & assistants came & went like the wind. No continuity. Recruiting truly suffered. It generally took 4 months for every AD to get off their ass to hire a new HC. Usually in March & just a couple of weeks ahead of spring camp. So, recruitment suffered greatly as it didn't start until spring & everything was rushed to be ready for camp. Like hiring a coaching & training staff & putting together a playbook. My son played 3 seasons at SFU from 2013-15. In those 3 seasons, he had 3 head coaches, 3 playbooks, 3 OC's, 3 qbs coaches. Every HC thought the previous HC was a dumbass in how they ran the program & that they were smarter than the head coach there before them. Some of the hires like Bates were worse than the coach that he replaced. Anyway, no one should be surprised this happened as it was inevitable. To me, the program died the moment they hired Bates & he was allowed to totally run the program into the ground. No football conference wants a team that can't compete & consistently gets blown out by 40 points a game & that's exactly what happened. They never had a winning record as a member of Division 2 football. Unfortunately, SFU burned its bridges with U Sports 12 years ago when it left the Canada West Conference. They may be no more goodwill left from that Conference to want them to return. People have long memories & would administrators from U Sports be willing to take SFU back? Let's hope they do. However, if they did it would mean the end for some other programs like women's softball which is only played in US colleges. All their American sports teams would have to be dropped for the Can West Conference to allow them back. So, either way no matter what SFU does, there will be athletes in other sports negatively affected. Yep, a real shitshow.

Isn’t he out of football currently? Not often you see a 52 year old oc couple years removed from a gc out of football not by their choice is it? I like the guy as a person, as a football mind, and as a leader. I hope he sticks with tsn and they pay him really well. I’d love to see more of him and blm working together in the booth. I think you’d see some of the best and most interesting offensive football talk any where. And I couldn’t be happier that he isn’t the oc here any more. And I’ll add, it is insanely hard to make your way as an oc in American or Canadian football with out playing qb at the highest level or coming up under a great lineage. 50 years from now nfl coaches will still be drawing their line back to Shanahan and Reid. Is it really different than guys people love? That kinda goes hand in hand in all sports tbh. The worst thing to be is forgettable. Atleast if you are hated you’ll be remembered. No one is gonna remember the guys who play called by committee for us before or after worman. Or soo many ocs after that. And a generational defense.

seems like some of the Jets dont like "playoff hockey" as in hitting, blocking shots, fight for the puck in the corner, stand in front of net.

Even if the Bombers found a young guy as good as Medlock, unlikely they would be able to hold onto him for more than a season or two before heading South, so in the long-term good maybe more sustainable than great. In 4-D chess Walters usually comes out ahead.

SFU is not #1 from the 2005-2020 time period that the article is using but all-time they are #1. That being said, their glory years of being a consistent CFL contributor ended about 25 years ago. #1 all time but that's a bit misleading. With Teletoon rebranding into Cartoon Network in less than 12 hours I thought I would write a Eulogy for the network Dear Teletoon, I can’t believe it’s come to this; I can’t believe you are now Cartoon Network full time, but what’s the point? You were different from Cartoon Network once upon a time, you had good Canadian content (now where will the reboots for Totally Spies! And the Triplets air? okay those were dubs but they count) where else could you find a big blue newt that was a Robin Williams like comedian? Where else could you meet a Witch that punishes some triplet girls by sending them into stories (but how is that a punishment?) Where else could I have met a group of meddling kids and their dog? Where else could I have seen a group of racers with unique cars and one of the few recurring Hanna Barbera villains? Where else could you look forward to Christmas when you aired a series about Santa Claus and meet some Aliens Next Door (as well as other specials that aired during the holidays, including the last thing released that had Phil Hartman’s voice), Where else could we meet an over obedient dog (who would make Lassie, the Littlest Hobo and Rex say “hey chill out man”) and his family of neurotics and eccentrics and denialists? Where else would we meet a trio of baby orphans that got their powers due to strange Y2K related reasons (regardless of how disgusting it was) along with their tech savvy guardian? I watched the Simpsons on the network more than anywhere else back in the day. And you launched a spin-off channel for retro shows, I was happy when it suddenly showed up that December evening, but not so happy that I lost Teletoon’s west coast feed (I was able to watch Total Drama early that way back when I was invested in it) but I happily watched Rocky and Bullwinkle in its entirety, and revisited Josie and the Pussycats after it disappeared after year 2, I finally got to see the Teen Angels in action and was so happy when they picked up Laff-a-lympics during Vancouver 2010 (even though it no longer held up for me a decade later), and even better you brought back Ned’s Newt and For Better or For Worse back on tv screens. And now eight years after losing Teletoon Retro, you’re going away now too, but I don’t know what I hate more, that you evolved, or that I had to grow up, even though I had new default tv networks I still found my way back to you. You were way different from Cartoon Network, you were your own identity and that’s what was so special about you, you were dare I say....Unreal. P.S. I'm still not happy that you dropped A Pup Named Scooby Doo before you could air the entire series…or the Simpsons
