Fiscal irresponsibility like the Harper government running 10 straight years of deficit? The same harper government PP was proudly a part of? This whole idea that a modern federal government can run a modern country without debt is utterly insane. It's actually not possible at all. You're being fed a lie that is being told to fire up your emotions. The PCs will 100% spend as much if not more than the liberals, but it will go to private hands. I dislike tax hikes as well...but whether they want to admit or not, the Boomer generation, made that an inevitably for us. Taxes will 100% be going up regardless of who is in power. The only real difference is where that money ends up. PP is an actual leach. He's not an average guy. He's never held a job like you have. He's never had to worry about how he's going to pay bills after his pay check comes in like many Canadians have, including myself. I honestly don't see how anyone could think he's the better option. I promise things will get worse in Canada in every category you mentioned (identity politics, fiscal responsibility, taxes) if his PC party wins. Also here's a funny video. Ferguson has not been very good with his mock drafts, and Hodges are about the same as Maggie the Monkey's picks in football knowledge and accuracy...just a complete waste of time to read really. I am looking forward to Dunk's though, he does a great job and is usually pretty dialed in.

I mean, it was a better contract than the last one Wheeler got, in hindsight. You (unfortunately) always pay a player for what they just did, and not necessarily what they're going to do down the road.

If available, I could see us taking an OL that has NFL interest in the 2nd or 3rd round. I remember reading that there are a couple out there. It's worked out well for us in the past. Although, I have also read that our OL is terrible, so maybe we need to replace everyone now!?

Between Gretzky and McDavid, Toews was by far my favourite player to watch. Epitome of a leader, and an underrated scoring touch. Should be a no-doubt 1st ballot HOF-er. One of the only players to ever win World Juniors and World Men's gold in the same year..... 3 SCs......2 Oly Golds (and was crucial in both gold medal games). From 2007 until concussions and other injuries derailed him, he was one of the best players in the world. If it's indeed his last season, it's been a hell of a run for the local guy.

What's the point of doing a detailed mock draft when those details are wrong? I'm not convinced that he actually watches games other than the ones he works. Last year Ferguson said that the Riders weren't desperate for help on the o-line - anyone with a pair of eyes could see that was way off. Hodge isn't much better... he had us taking an OL early because it filled a "need" for us. Not sure where he saw the need but the team obviously didn't feel the same way since they took a grand total of zero OL last year. I do enjoy reading the mock drafts but they hold next to no value.

One thing that always gets missed too, in regards to the use of the emergency act. Is the blatant stock piling of explosive material outside a federal parliament. It was diesel and propane, which obviously the convoy would need to keep going...but I think anyone would be hard pressed to find any government in the world that would be ok with a group who stated what they stated, stock piling those things that close to a federal government building. Even if their intentions were peaceful. No chance in hell would that happen anywhere near the white house etc.

I've tended to vote for right of center parties. I refuse to vote for PP and the Conservatives since he and the party supported the Convoy, support anti vax positions including lies about vaccines killing children, promote tin foil hat theories about the WEF, argue that being woke is a bad thing and are using the same tactics as Donald Trump and many of the MAGA Republicans in the US. I don't like Trudeau or his government but as 17to85 said, lesser of two evils.

A right wing voter who doesn't like that people point out what they are actually voting for. I mean I have long said Trudeau is a dope... but God compared to what the cons are doing all over the country there really is no choice but to avoid them because liberals are the lesser of two evils.
