  1. Don't draft a dead guy, don't draft a dead guy, don't draft a dead guy Montreal goes with Shedler Fervius in 5th round.

  2. I watch a lot of RSEQ football. Bomber fans will like Jeremy Murphy. Great hands, sneaky fast, good route runner, makes tough catches. One of those guys who would put up 100 yards and a couple of touchdowns against my son's team McGill, and make it look effortless. Steps up in big moments. And I'm thrilled for Collin Kornelson! I coached him way back in the youth football days with the upstart Valour Patriots football team. Was a great teammate and player then, and still is now.

"They all stink" attitude causes apathy and insulates people from critical thinking and examining policy or candidates. Frustrates the hell out of me when I see people on the left say it too. Buy a puppy if you need attention.

"There just aren't really any good choices anymore. They all stink" Telling people this has been a right-wing strategy for as long as I have lived. It just simply isn't true.

great posts in here and all are appreciated. Just wanted to reiterate that I think "John Hodge" is actually a parody account "pen name" for Mike in the ultimate bit of CFL satire......

  22. Yeah that was BS. They used him in a hybrid role out of the backfield. He catches as good as any running back. Maybe they are talking about route running, but he'll basically be that blocking back who maybe sneaks out into the flat or runs across the formation.
    4 points
  23. We'd be lucky if he's Rory Kohlert's younger brother Kory Kohlert. I'd wager Rosery is tagged for a H back type role if he plays at all on O. Kind of like Declan Cross, Calvin McCarty type.

next week, an apartment building or two will be bombed . russian apartment bombings brought putin to power. "Then there was speaker of the Duma (Russian parliament) Gennadiy Seleznyov’s announcement about a bomb exploding in Volgodonsk. Such a bomb would explode — three days after he relayed news of that blast. Attempts to question Seleznyov proved fruitless." https://news.yahoo.com/putin-1999-apartment-bombings-ukraine-175001959.html edit This Russian sci fi book ... read it from start to finish, could not put it down. written in 2006. savagely brilliant. Day of the Oprichnik (Russian: День опричника, Den' oprichnika) is a 2006 novel by the Russian writer Vladimir Sorokin. The narrative is set in the near future, when the Tsardom of Russia has been restored, and follows a government henchman, an oprichnik, through a day of grotesque events. Sorokin in one of the later interviews[1]confessed that he did not anticipate his novel be an accurate picture of the future, even in some subtle details, but rather wrote this book as a warning and "mystical precaution" against the state of events described in the storyline. The title is a reference to the Oprichnina, the black-clad secret police of Ivan the Terrible, whose symbol was a black dog's head (to sniff out treason) and a broom (to sweep away all traitors. some parts are a bit hard. some amazing sci fi ideas.

  28. Giant phallus-shaped iceberg floating in Conception Bay surprises residents of Dildo, Canada A penis-shaped iceberg floated by the town of Dildo, Canada, which isn't too far from the city of Spread Eagle and the town of Placentia. (Image credit: Ken Pretty) It doesn't get any more apt than this: A photographer from the Newfoundland town of Dildo has captured images of a penis-shaped iceberg off the Canadian coast. The suggestive 'berg consists of a column with a domed head protruding up from two oval rafts of ice. Photographer Ken Pretty captured a shot of the ice formation by drone near the town of Harbour Grace, which sits along — the puns keep adding up — Conception Bay. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the "dickie berg," as locals are calling it, has attracted international attention, with Pretty sharing news stories from as far away as Thailand and Taiwan on his Facebook page.

  32. doesn't seem like anyone to get too excited about from this draft... guys like Bennett, Murphy, and Kornelson sound like Bomber-type players... hopefully we'll get some solid teamers or maybe we get lucky and someone emerges as a legit starter... Just keep an eye on how Black and Ringland develop in Ham and BC... so when they are ready to hit the open market and ready to come home...

Glad to see he's healthy again.

  35. John Hodge’s pick analysis is incredible on 3DN Bull was their 9th ranked prospect, picked 1st overall. Hodge Verdict? “I like this pick” Brodrique ranked 13th by 3DN, picked 2nd. Hodge Verdict? “Makes sense for Edmonton” Korte-Moore ranked 11th by 3DN, picked 3rd. Hodge Verdict? “Good use of resources” laughable

  36. 7th round pick: Jonathan Rosery, University of Alberta (Edmonton, Alta.) A converted running back with a thick lower body, the five-foot-eight, 199-pounder posed a match-up challenge in space at the collegiate level but is not polished as a pass catcher. While his change of direction is solid, Rosery’s small stature, average explosiveness and poor long speed make him a difficult CFL projection. https://3downnation.com/2023/04/26/2023-cfl-draft-position-rankings-receivers/

  47. What an amazing album. I remember growing up listening to that album, many many times. I followed your lead and am giving it another listen now...and that's when I remembered that it was Gord that wrote and first performed the song "Ribbon of Darkness Over Me" which of course has always been credited to Marty Robbins. Not so. Gord you are truly a Canadian gem that touched so many lives. RIP old friend.

  48. really feel like our secondary is underrated by a lot around the league. Yeah, our offense is going to be awesome, but that secondary has the potential to be something special. Also really interested to see if JJ's new off-season regime is going to result in more games played this year. If he and WJ5 can play most, if not all, games this year, that's going to be massive.
