  3. Made it to my first Rookie Camp day today. Not much to report other than the Deuce Wallace #48 INT. O'Shea Jr almost made a circus catch. He was targeted a few times. #87 Jaivon Heiligh made a nice catch.

  17. Yeah BOLO just looks polished and legit as a bigger bodied receiver...hand catcher...fluid....strong....high high upside....and a legitimate target when on the field...we lose nothing when he is getting reps, and is only gonna get better...loved that draft pick from day 1

  18. Elks receiving corp could be....could.....be top 4 in league...Lewis is good....Dunbar is a nice compliment...but Moore?...meh...dime a dozen player...Mitchell...lets see what he does in more games....guys like him have come and gone before...need to sustain...I do like that running back....but big....Huge question mark with QB's there....and is that O-line a dominant unit....time will tell...I'd rank them just below the stamps...and just above the Riders in terms of receiving groups in the west...and not sure what they have for depth behind the starters.... Thats what I like about our unit...with what we know from last year...BOLO, Agudosi and Mcrae can be more than adequate replacements behind our starters, and we have some interesting talent competing beyond them this yr as well have to have that Flex appeal haha

  19. FIVE TO WATCH Topping our ‘To Watch’ list a year ago was receiver Dalton Schoen, who then went on to lead the Canadian Football League in receiving and being named the league’s Most Outstanding Rookie. That’s a high bar, but here are a handful of fresh faces to begin tracking now: #90 DE Jadrian Taylor: The Blue Bombers could use some import depth behind Willie Jefferson and Jackson Jeffcoat and Taylor, who spent two years at UTEP, is one of the candidates to track during camp. LB Barrington Wade: Has had NFL looks from Baltimore and Denver, has impressive testing numbers, and caught the eye of Bombers scout Cyril Penn last year at Broncos training camp. WR Michael Young: Played his college ball at both Notre Dame and Cincinnati before NFL opportunities last year from Indianapolis and Houston. The Blue Bombers receiving corps is stacked, but that doesn’t stop management from looking. #49 LB Gee Stanley: An intriguing prospect in that he can play linebacker and could also get a look at the Dime spot. That versatility can be key in the CFL. DE Aaron Sterling: Similar situation to Taylor, listed above. Check out Cyril Penn’s piece on him from late March here: https://www.bluebombers.com/2023/03/28/tales-from-the-scouting-trail-aaron-sterling/

Carl Sagan 1996 “I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time -- when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness... The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance” The celebration of ignorance, has reached a peak, with Trump, and some of our Canadian Trumps, National and Provincial. who knows, might get worse. It is frightening.

  25. I don’t expect Prukop back here. He can do short yardage but you can easily find a big mobile qb rookie who can do that at any time. I don’t think he’s shown he can develop as a passer at all and while he can run he’s not at all dynamic at it. Alex mcgough I believe is still on our nl about as mobile and doing much better in the usfl.

I was a huge proponent of hiring Kelly before it happened, and what happened after we actually did has left me with PTSD. lol. I could handle the incompetence of Mack...at least it was professional and not a gong show.
