  2. Yeah, Woli's not going anywhere. O’Shea on what he’s seen from Murphy: “Yeah, he’s smart. He picks it up very quickly. Very smart. He’s made some good tough catches, too. He’ll continue to grow and he picks up a lot of stuff very quickly. Woli (Drew Wolitarsky) is one of those guys that if you’re around Woli or playing behind him, you can’t help but just be really taken by how smart he is, how he’s always doing the right thing and how he’s always working so well for the quarterback. There’s so much trust between quarterbacks and Woli, not just Zach, but anybody, Woli would immediately be the guy. So, being around Woli like that would be a great opportunity for a young guy.”

Literally half the UCP board is made up of Christo-fascists. Even Kenney said the lunatics were now running the asylum in the UCP. Calling them far right lunatics is more than fair.

  4. Agreed, not suggesting more than 50% of Albertans are extremist, racist, and bigoted. What I am saying is, if you support an extremist, racist, authoritarian-leaning and bigoted party to form laws and govern- you are not a centrist, nor a moderate. That's just the facts.

  5. The feds are doing no such thing. The deal with Germany would've been contingent on building extensive infrastructure to facilitate transportation of LNG, which both nations agreed posed numerous challenges (back in August 2022): https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/scholz-vassy-kapelos-lng-russia-gas-1.6559814 As for Japan, no deal was turned down. The wheels are in motion and infrastructure has to be built. Mitsubishi Corporation has a stake in the Kitimat LNG Terminal, set to go online in 2025: https://globalnews.ca/news/9394243/japan-pm-visit-canada-liquefied-natural-gas-needs/ Considering who Albertans just voted back into their Provincial Legislature, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that they'll just continue blaming Ottawa for their economic struggles and lap up the lies of Post Media ghouls, neither of whom can be bothered to try and understand the complexities of real life. It'll be hard to have a stable economy to benefit our nation if corporate interests continue to operate unchallenged, destroy the environment, and run away with the profits.

  6. Many center of right and moderate right support an extremist and bigoted party- are they still considered moderates? They are literally supporting people who make the laws (with a majority mandate nonetheless) with this extremist and racist and bigoted bent. Are they still centrist? They may think they are, but they aren't.

so the crazy lady says that, in order to make sure Edmontonians voices are heard, she's going to create some special committee made up of the UCP candidates who LOST in Edmonton............................... you honestly can't make this **** up. Refusing to communicate with the actual people ELECTED IN EDMONTON..... instead she'll use the voices of the losers that Edmonton vehemently rejected. Unreal...

  12. Statements like these are about to become a dime a dozen, rural Alberta elected the govt. they wanted, the UCP culled from all Edmonton and a lot of Calgary leaves very few moderate voices available for caucus without much representation from their two urban centers. .Basically the Wildrose Party finally found a way to win an election, without running under their own banner. A method Harper first employed when he morphed the original Reform regressives into the CPC. Expect a lot more grievance with Ottawa, ill thought through social policies, and weird ideological experiments in their public school system trying to warp time back to the 1950's.

  13. Let's just acknowledge the obvious. Grant is with the CIA, and he got called away to run a psy-op in Peru. The Bombers and the CIA have a reciprocal agreement such that the CIA won't schedule any foreign psy-ops in November so he's available for playoffs. Glad he's back.

    The Environment Thread

When conservatives suddenly become environmentalists.... I'm actually torn on this one. The product is a huge part of the green economy and will be a boon to Manitoba economically. But, Sio Silica has to prove they can do this without damaging the water supply, because that's a problem that cannot be fixed once the impact is made. I've always been against fracking for the same reason. It used to be that the insurance companies would just screw disaster survivors over. Now, it's so bad, they don't even want to risk it.

Holding your nose to vote for a party infiltrated with racists and bigots is no more than putting a price on your vote. A very low price. "Yeah, they're totally going to take away rights for LGBTQ2S people, but damn it - I hate that consarned carbon tax!" You really have to wonder what the breaking point is for these voters and their apologists.

Govern all Albertans or just those who voted UCP? This is why we run elections so the people who are elected can represent the voices of their district to the table.

I suggest that extremism has a few defining features: tendency to violence, a viewpoint that force is acceptable to foment change. resorting to racist/exist/homophobic/xenophobic language, the attitude that "people don't know what is good for them so I must impose my values", seeing others as subhuman.

  26. It could be literally anything, family related...maybe he was getting auditted by the IRS....who knows. All we know is the club felt it was a good enough reason, or may even have requested themselves for roster purposes and JG agreed.

  27. He reported to camp passed his physical received his roster bonus for doing so as stipulated in most player's contracts and then was likely given the option to stay, or go home until week 2 so they could open up a very valuable roster spot. If he stays he gets the TC per diem which is peanuts, or he goes home and does not get it but has an extra week with his family. There really isn't much more to it than that. He is not competing for a job, his is as safe as it gets.

Well, no, it would be incredibly irresponsible to do so. You rely on common sense. But, it's equally irresponsible to be a leader of the opposition and be opposed to getting security briefings. How can you take a leader seriously if he's more concerned with posturing rather than leading?

Played indoor football in Texas until 2017 and he’s now a high school coach and seems super involved in youth sports and charitable stuff in the Texas area. good for him.
