Also … Holm gets doesn’t get the respect he deserves from *some* posters on this board. He had a really good game yesterday and was incredibly disciplined on balls that begged for a PI call. Yes. He was beat for TD in the third but for the vast majority of this game he was in position to make a play on the ball. My only gripe with his play yesterday is that he’s weak in run support - he’s not a super physical guy.

The flyout schedule on the CFL homepage shows a May 22 ex. game for no discernable reason, and has the home team wrong in the season opener. And on the Bomber site it shows 1 game, and that's it. It is 2023. Get your **** together CFL. And the arrows on the main page to navigate the schedule make no sense! Go backwards then forwards, and it skips a bunch. And it defaults to a game from 3 days ago. Wtf? As a software developer this **** infuriates me.

Piggy will improve with more practice. I remember Prukopp wasn't that great either when he first started doing short yardage. No one has played qb with the dream of doing short yardage.

The Redblacks and the Als both have way better defenses than offenses. At least Ottawa has a chance of getting better when Masoli gets healthy. Faj's one great deep ball basically won the game, but he has no pocket presence. The whirlybird move when no one is near him is special... Wears a hockey helmet all the time kinda special. Both teams FG kickers were great. Neither OC did a good job of given their QB's plays they excel at. Hint: Don't call deep middle shots for Arbuckle.

Anyone that goes to practice would notice that have a multitude of goal line/ short yardage plays. It was game one and the Bombers haven't opened up all their playback yet. I'm not concerned.

Acklin had the **** beat out of him by the Als DB's ast night all game long. I'm sure his body, especially his hip is pretty stiff & sore today. And lo & behold, look who's back on the 6 game IR for the Als. None other than Greg Ellingson. Time to retire...

I don’t understand why they empty the backfield and have no jet motion or anything allowing the linebackers to fully commit to A and B. There’s no extra yards for degree of difficulty. Buck really needs to work on that short yardage package. I don’t know why they are so committed to the wedge play right now.

Jeffcoats last play was the Houston fumble recovery...nothing major happens..ran into and tripped over back of Biggie...but he got up to get into the play ..jogged off...didn't get treatment and looked fine when they went into the half ...so I assuming it was nothing serious that will keep him out Haba got great reps in that game and got his wind...played basically 3 quarters...so I expect even more next game...stud in making Let's hope this isn't a pattern now with JJ...and if it is Lemon or McAllister should be on speed dial That being said...WJ looks like he on mission...he was the WJ we love...maybe this young buck has got his excitement reinvigorated..as he was a menace all night...same with Biggie and Darby..all 3 seem to have set the tone for 2023 and are sending the league a message...and to think..Lawson...Hansen...Wilson..Parker..
