If I was running things....The secondary when healthy would be Rose...Nichols..BA...Parker...Sawaray right now...Lawrence if Injuries were the reason his play after game 2 went sideways...cause he is a good DB....But as it stands I see a lot to like with ADS....not sure why Mouhamed hasn't got a shot yet....But he looked legit last yr... Thats our best most physical group, and best group of tacklers....Wilson back would take Clements role and he could take Coles spot/duties and I would like to see Cole given the spot Darby has right now...Darby is either lights out this yr....or lights need to be turned on....not sure whats with him this yr, but Cole is our probably most athletic defensive player on the roster, and would be a perfect SAM Also....Bennett on defence sits in place of Murphy, or Burtenshaw as basically with out piss poor roster makeup....there's nobody else...Haba and the Jeffs, and shortly Hansen is the best end quartet in the league...no worries there...Jake should be on roster soley as depth...and injury replacement with minimal rotation....for the one...maybe 2 decent things he does a game now...there are 5 times that where he is part of why we getting slaughtered up the gut...Now did Walker turn the corner and can do this game in and game out?....or was this just a career game?...we shall see, but we need Fox or a new found stud on the roster as well...so DA him and designate a Nationalized guy and friggin use the snot out of it...how our staff doesnt see...or want to use sets with the Jeffs and Fox and Walker in the middle 22 times a game...or one of fox/walker and Haba...is baffling....almost inexcusable..but we will roll out one of the Jeffs...Thomas...Bennett all at the same time...why in the hell do that?? Fox can take the place of the extra receiver that basically does the Traverious Harrison and stands there all game ...just because I guess....If Murphy takes Bennet's spot you have 2 national Receivers with him and BOLO to back up when all is healthy Schoen..Demski..Woli..Shheed and Lawler....and right now Mcrae...who is a place holder for Grant....easy peasy....And yup...something is up with our interior and it stinks....to me it's Center...and all things will permeate out from there...Next game against the Elks should be Bryant..Gray..Eli..Neuf and Yosh...and see how they perform as a unit....and work from there going into the bye...The chatter about Yosh losing it is a bit over dramaticized right now....you work from inside out at this point in season...and if it is still not optimal...you put Dobson in a guard spot...and you see whats up then. But this recent bizzarre play calling and going against what works, and how we dominate is baffling and taking it' toll on our o-line play, and trying to get them to morph into something different...its easy to see, and since game 3 we have looked off...out of sync...and not communicating well at all...its so easy to see....now will Osh and his staff make the moves and changes as needed...as the pieces are already here for most part...but not being used, and we for some reason...especially on offence are trying to re-create our identity and what we excel at....not sure why as it wasn't needed season is still early to make the required tweeks...before it snowballs out of control...so get it done...Even as it sits right now....across the board we have the best unit in the West....just have to put them in the right places to get back to that level we accustomed to. And will say it again...Osh needs to turn up the prickmode a bit...and also suck up his pride...or whatever it is making him not want to use a rue thats ...a rule and would help us...and also put aside his penchant for favoring his tenured guys....and his mindset that everyone on the roster is a #1....cause they aint......do this....or even half of this and things would be a hella lot rosier and like I mentioned before....I saw ol Cal cut a guy at haltime....you dont perform....u were gone...also you couldnt stay on the field...your replacement was in the air lickity split

Some general thoughts: There were some danger signs going into this one. That BC game was considered to be "one of those games" - no worries. But since then...... even while winning, we have seen some of the same stuff.......lack of push inside on D, poor play in OL interior, poor/missed tackling, under performing of some vets, head scratching play calls puzzling roster usage and simply general inconsistency. The Bomber MO, last number of years........ has been to dominate the LOS, attention to detail, limit mistakes, 60 minute effort and the consistent ability to close out games, late. Plenty of this - was completely missing last night, culminating in a ugly collapse and getting beat by a QB making his first start. MOS loves his veteran players - and they love him. But looking at the performance of some of the vets lately - Darby, and Alexander were terrible last nite, Neufeld , our C, and Hardrick have been bad, all year. We have some young blood that appears to have some upside Eli, Lawson, Dobson, Haba, et al. May be time to tweak this lineup a bit - if MOS can bring himself to do it.

I can't imagine anyone can watch the season to this point and not be uncomfortable putting Neufeld out to protect their franchise quarterback. To me that's an easy switch. The amount of times he's not even blocking anyone and wildly swinging his head as someone takes a free run into the pocket, even on his inside gap, or just popping up to try to lean on guys without bringing his base, feet, with him...can't do it. Can't be out there. We have other options. Guy is hardly a speed bump even right now.

In my opinion....offence ineptitude and the same ol' same ol' play safe after up a few points instead of keeping knee on throat killed us.. Defence had them.hemmed up all game but when u have to keep going out there on short rest against a running scrambling QB...they will get gassed...factor in over rotating your sub par rotational pieces for whatever reason..and not having an adequate import lb replacement cause u dress another reciever u didn't use...and don't utilize the Nationalized rule due to your pride or stubborness..and you see the result when your offence and o.c **** the bed

This is my worry. That we've peaked and while still good and capable of winning it all, the glory days are behind us and that MOS will be too loyal to the vets.

That debacle was a classic example why you should never take your foot off the gas and feel comfortable....The tackling on that 4th string qb. was horrendous....It seemed almost like our guys were content to just watch the guy run into the endzone ....on 2 occasions.....You won't win many games with that type of effort.....There's a missing ingredient on this club right now and comes in the form of Rose and Hansen.....We've been screwed on the return of Kenny Lawler by mitigating circumstances.....We sure could use his spark right now.....if anything else but to flush that total collapse out of our system

Yeah my untrained eye seems like the interior is having a hard time making room for the run game.

Yoshi would be adequate with better play from the interior

Never have I completed a purchase for Bomber tickets so angrily as 5 minutes ago. If they lose to the Elks I am going to fling myself from top of the nearest Shawarma Khan.

Bombers’ vaunted aura of power is gone. Several games now we’ve seen defenses physically match or exceed the Bombers oline and it’s not going to get better with the way Neufeld and Kolankowski are playing. The last couple of home games you knew the crowd could sense it too. Prevailed against Calgary in a tight came but add the errors and sloppiness of today’s performance… there will be more losses for sure.

SAM and safety back in the endzone, nice play by Ottawa, slow read by those guys. Bighill has to get to outside shoulder to turn Crum in and no one there to rally. DL way undisciplined on that one as most of the half. I'm not a fan of Darby this season. He's getting beaten like a drum against the teams with mobile QBs. We have to beat BC to get to the Grey Cup so we need to prep a lot more for that.

MOS has won 2 Grey Cups but he's not Wally Buono. He'll stick with his veterans all the way to the end. maybe Walters has to get more involved in the process. Buono cut Allen Pitts & DE Will Johnson. Two CFL All Stars & HOFers. And he cut other veterans as well. He would go into a season thinking he needed to turn over 10% of the roster minimum. Why? Get younger & cheaper.

This is Ritchie Hall. He blitzes guys a ton, but it's not usually anything crazy, just get to the qb and force him to throw before he wants to. 2nd half because it was nothing new they adapted and you don't bring the guy down he has tons of room. Hall does a lot of good things as a defensive coordinator but his defense is maddening to watch sometimes.

This game showcased so many of the problems that cost us the Grey Cup last year: the O-line was mauled and there was no shuffling of linemen to spell off Kolankowski and Neufeld, the coaches did not make halftime adjustments or in the fourth quarter when the same plays were hurting the Bombers again and again. I listened to O'Shea and Collaros on OB's post game show and was treated to a series of cliches and no real sense of embarrassment by either. I am beginning to lose faith in Hall and Pierce who cannot come up with midgame adjustments. O'Shea's use of his roster is bizarre and needs to be questioned.

Bennett's the same age as Kongbo. Not sure how he becomes a player unless he finds a way around the drug test as a DL. No real redeeming quality, speed/bend the edge? No. Power? No. Moves? Haven't seen anything.

If I have your DA lb on roster who u have no intent or faith in using as a backup...and have to use inferior canadian foot soldier...or you use the long tenured foot soldier cause...he's long tenured and u feel u owe it to those players cause u a 'nice' guy...then that's piss poor roster management any way u slice it...no ifs and or buts...and it happens around here way too.often just like the sitting on a lead and playing safe...no excuses for it Don't think so..we had 3 slugs out there I saw

It doesn't make up for the Bomber loss but the Riders losing helps a little.

Hardrick too. Not much consistent push there, struggling in pass pro. Expect a lot more from an American lineman. Thing is we have at least 3 guys waiting in wings that are seasoned and ready for action. Dobson, Eli, Richmond. When guys are broken down and tired they don't bring their feet and just try to lean on guys. Seeing that a lot on the right side of our line. For Neufeld those are the better plays when he actually makes contact, too many free runs by him. Well you're not going to lean on Mauldin, Wakefield. You might be able to lean on an Anthony Bennett.

Crum Khari Jones Bob Dyce Blue Bombers were out coached and had zero effort in the 2nd half. A collapse from everyone and every coach.

A lot of talk about different dbs being bad this year. And each guy has had highs and lows. Some like Darby more lows than highs. The young guys in general have our performed the old guys. But the guy that stands out to be me is BA. He hasn’t been remotely the same since his injury. He’s gotten too much into the habit of selling out for hits, but he went from an elite deep cover guy to none existent. We are having to play dbs in run fits more than ever because we don’t have a nose. But even in pure pass calls he can’t seem to get over to help on deep shots. Instead of getting in on the wr or the ball to make a play, he at best gets into the trail position and doesn’t provide much cover help. Last night I saw him give up a couple times from behind where he would’ve been able to run into the back end of plays and make score saving tackles in the past. Maybe he’s struggling with the adjustments, maybe he’s not healthy. But he went from the straw that stirs the drink in our secondary to ineffective in pass coverage. And I’m not talking about ranging half or the whole field. He’s not getting into position from with in his third or less.

Watching the game I wasn't worried until we allowed the 2 point conversion to go to OT. I just assumed we'd make a play to win the game. I suspect the Bombers players felt the same. A lot of the reason that we shut their O down in the first half comes down to a QB starting his first game. He looked like the game was moving way to fast for him in the first half. It seemed to slow down for him in the 2nd half, which is great for a young QB. Why didn't we put a spy on the QB in the 4th Q and in OT? He was killing us with his legs. Collaros isn't going to last the season taking as many hits as he has, so I gotta agree with the replace Neuf crowd. He looked like he was chasing most of the night. What happened to our killer instinct? Last year, no one scored TD's on us in the 4th so going in with a lead = a win.

Yeah scrambling and taking advantage of piss poor tackling isn't a long term winning strategy. Schoen squeezes one right in his mitts or Oliveira doesn't carry the ball like his purse we aren't even talking about this. This team needs to stand up and pull their heads out of their asses in the worst way. All season just making so many little mistakes. Cost them last night.

For the sake of sanity I kind of hope Haba is injured. Nuts. Even if you're selling out for pressure, Briggs is out there every down so Thomas doesn't need to be. We don't have our best guys on the field.

The same thing with the D. They needed one stop. They didn't get it. I see the same D I saw with Hall five years ago. Giving up huge chunks of real estate thru the air, DB's in chase mode constantly. The worst outside linebackers in the league. How we couldn't have upgraded our DT's over the off season in free agency is beyond me. We all expected it but it never happened. Should have been a slam dunk. Inexplicably, it wasn't.

We need to be able to run on people. And right now we don’t. We get to run when teams don’t gap cancel with good run fits. We used to physically dominate the line. And with this interior ol, we can’t do that any more. When we can’t do that it hurts our ability to protect Zach.

It feels like this team has no killer edge. When we have an opponent down ready for the kill shot or putting the dagger in them it feels like we completely take the foot off the pedal and just lay off. Foolish me thought we would just play normal and have time for Dru Brown to get some reps in the 4th.

Because if the O does anything over 20 minutes of game time that drive doesn't even matter. The D turned Ottawa over on third down twice and the O scored zilch. Get a FG on one of those possessions...GAME OVER.

People blaming the D are out to lunch, imo. Not only should the offence have but this game out of reach early (remember when Ottawa couldn't even get a first down?), but we had two turnovers, including the pick-6, that allowed Ottawa the shot at that last drive.

Drop Alexander down to SAM. If we have depth issues I'd way rather throw Hallett out there at safety than play a whole half with Briggs at WIL.

The Tavares Harrison award for 60 minutes of being ready on the sideline. Just think if we used Bailey as our nationalized American we could run sets with McCrae as the running back and all our American receivers on the field.
