Honestly not super worried about the D. They are settling in and if some guys come off the ir so much the better. The concern is always the gameplan which can give up drives at the best of times. My concern is with the O. The guys in the group to struggle like they have... something is up and needs a tweak

now....lets see how things go on offence....slap a new center in....Rotate Neuf and Dobson to see who is working best and keep a clean pocket for ZC....see what this sputtering offence can do

I have to admit to a completely different viewpoint on Osh's style. He doesn't need to change his personality or attitude or whatever you want to define it as. The idea of the 'ass-kicking coach' frankly is antiquated. That is a quick way to burn bridges and get fired. He treats his players with respect and asks the same in return. There is a reason why people speak so highly of the team culture here. Nobody this far into a professional career - coach or player - should need fear as a motivator. In fact I believe it was Buono who said something like his job wasn't to motivate the players, but to get rid of the ones who need to be motivated. It's that sense of brotherhood that will help teams get through tough times, in my opinion. This team has some big issues that need to be fixed. They've also been the best team in the league by a decent distance the past few years. It was inevitable that they would come back to the pack a bit as players age and other teams improve.

He doesn’t, I just don’t think the majority of fans who are watching defensive backs play really have a hot clue what they’re looking for. Defensive backs are going to get beat. It’s inevitable. Every single one of them does. The expectation of performance can’t be a 100% success rate. Look at the scheme our defense plays, the whole idea is to keep guys in front of you and not give up the big play. Now go look at Nichols/Houston’s tackle numbers compared to ADS/Lawrence/Holm, etc. the side that plays opposite of Houston/Nichols gets targeted because those two guys have essentially locked it down. The numbers are low for Houston because he rarely, rarely gets thrown at. If Houston was as bad as you think he is, he’d be seeing a lot more targets. Teams actively gameplan to throw away from that side of the field on us. There’s a reason for that.

I've been pretty quiet this season: Because it all reminds me of the 2008 season, when we thought we had a good team, because they were in 2007 GC. TC was run in a similar manner. Maybe this 2023 edition is a good team, but they will need to show it.

This is how the Calgary defense was 2 weeks ago when we beat them. On the field for most of the 2nd half, and almost the entire 4th quarter. McCrae got nothing going for the Bombers on kick off/punt returns. Offensive play calling was an absolute mystery, given that we couldn't run the ball. O line was porous like it was against Calgary/BC. Anyways, like many of Bomber nation, I really hope some changes are coming in. Guys need to earn their spots every week.

Yeah the Bombers this season are far too sloppy of a team for that line. Lots of sacks and turnovers on O this year and Edmonton does have a pretty disruptive DL. Return game right now is risky.

Hope Lawler is back. As good as our receiving core is, Lawler really is that big play guy that will make the big catch or play when needed.

There was one hit he took late and came up limping a bit. That should be all the wakeup call anyone needs.

Another thing to consider in this first 6 games. Why do teams like the Argos get TWO byes and we get none. The team is tired and it showed on Saturday IMO ... 😡

Not to mention Bucks awful play calling in the fourth. Passing when they should have ran which resulted in a pick six, and then running the ball on second down when they should have thrown the ball to get the game winning first down.

The D didn't allow a first down until late in the 1st half. I have troubles blaming them when they lived on the field in the second half. The offense handed this game away with misses, fumbles and a bad pick.

Lawler is back and he should be coming back in peak form and just a tad frustrated....This will give the team a big boost in every way.....Welcome back Kenny....Very bad news for the Elks

factor in that the defense was on the field for 22 minutes in second half...one could assume they were right gassed...and it showed with the sloppy 4th quarter in particular tackling...thats a dead sign of players on fumes....and that falls on the offence sucking and not sustaining drives

Nail would have been driven if Schoen didnt drop that one....and was a rare case that he did....and will be rare to see again...sometimes one play.....and one score/fail to score can totaly effect a game when all said and done...and that was a good case of it

You don’t blanket guys any more. You can’t. Especially with the hash mark move but even before that, the spread offence with 5 targets on this wide field you don’t shut guys down. And in halls system even more so, you play off and then come up to make a play. Be it tackle, knock down, or pick.

Him less than most, especially due to the fact he had soo few good passes to him. A lot of junk QBs he played with. WRs drop passes, dbs get beat, lbers miss tackles, etc the best of them have a short memory and a great hunger for success.

Darby needs to go, whether they put Parker/Holm/ADS there … there needs to be a change. I’d even consider putting Alexander there and moving one of Parker/ADS to safety, as well. Get him closer to the line of scrimmage. Something’s gotta change though. This is exactly what I was talking about in the off-season, so many people suggested we were going to be good because we were good last year and guys just weren’t gonna fall off a cliff. Neufeld fell off, Kolankowski fell off, Alexander fell off, Darby fell off, Hardrick fell off, Thomas fell off and now look. We sleepwalked through training camp, handing out spots to guys who didn’t earn them instead of attempting to bring in actual legitimate competition. We roster guys to thank them for their years of service (hello Jesse Briggs) and don’t let the best players on the field when we need to. I understand the loyalty and I understand there’s a lot of merit in his approach, but O’Shea needs to be loyal to the locker room in its entirety, not to each individual. As stupid as I think the whole FIFO thing is and as much as it makes me cringe when Noeller parrots it like some battle cry of the super fan, the team sure isn’t doing much fitting in right now. There’s no reason for the personnel decisions we’re making, I saw it coming a mile away and some of you laughed when I said coaching and roster management was going to cost us games this year. Then I see **** like Jesse Briggs being on the field collecting participation medals because who the hell knows why, and it’s apparent that coaching and roster management really is going to cost us games. The worst part is, they’ve mishandled the whole situation entirely and now it’s probably too late to fix it this year - we don’t even have most of the pieces we need on our practice roster because we’d rather work on having 7 globals and 5 offensive linemen we’ll never use. On top of that, O’Shea is so stubborn that even the advantages we could pick up, he won’t because he doesn’t believe in them. Stupid.

If even Schoen catches it he takes it the house and it’s 32-9 and game over. Look I like him as much as the next guy but if he’s suppose to be that super star, future NFL player he has to make that catch. Never saw Milt Stegall drop a pass like that EVER and okay he doesn’t have to be Milt but that’s what a true super star receiver looks like.

yup.....its nice to be nice...until its time not to be so nice...right now is the time I also think Osh doesnt want to come across as running up the score on teams too...as he got called out for it early in his career here...and it's stuck with him...who gives a flying Fack what people think/say...thats part of reason why we many many times take foot off gas and almost go into preserve the lead mode...and it's killed us too many times to mention...last night should never have happened.again

If I was running things....The secondary when healthy would be Rose...Nichols..BA...Parker...Sawaray right now...Lawrence if Injuries were the reason his play after game 2 went sideways...cause he is a good DB....But as it stands I see a lot to like with ADS....not sure why Mouhamed hasn't got a shot yet....But he looked legit last yr... Thats our best most physical group, and best group of tacklers....Wilson back would take Clements role and he could take Coles spot/duties and I would like to see Cole given the spot Darby has right now...Darby is either lights out this yr....or lights need to be turned on....not sure whats with him this yr, but Cole is our probably most athletic defensive player on the roster, and would be a perfect SAM Also....Bennett on defence sits in place of Murphy, or Burtenshaw as basically with out piss poor roster makeup....there's nobody else...Haba and the Jeffs, and shortly Hansen is the best end quartet in the league...no worries there...Jake should be on roster soley as depth...and injury replacement with minimal rotation....for the one...maybe 2 decent things he does a game now...there are 5 times that where he is part of why we getting slaughtered up the gut...Now did Walker turn the corner and can do this game in and game out?....or was this just a career game?...we shall see, but we need Fox or a new found stud on the roster as well...so DA him and designate a Nationalized guy and friggin use the snot out of it...how our staff doesnt see...or want to use sets with the Jeffs and Fox and Walker in the middle 22 times a game...or one of fox/walker and Haba...is baffling....almost inexcusable..but we will roll out one of the Jeffs...Thomas...Bennett all at the same time...why in the hell do that?? Fox can take the place of the extra receiver that basically does the Traverious Harrison and stands there all game ...just because I guess....If Murphy takes Bennet's spot you have 2 national Receivers with him and BOLO to back up when all is healthy Schoen..Demski..Woli..Shheed and Lawler....and right now Mcrae...who is a place holder for Grant....easy peasy....And yup...something is up with our interior and it stinks....to me it's Center...and all things will permeate out from there...Next game against the Elks should be Bryant..Gray..Eli..Neuf and Yosh...and see how they perform as a unit....and work from there going into the bye...The chatter about Yosh losing it is a bit over dramaticized right now....you work from inside out at this point in season...and if it is still not optimal...you put Dobson in a guard spot...and you see whats up then. But this recent bizzarre play calling and going against what works, and how we dominate is baffling and taking it' toll on our o-line play, and trying to get them to morph into something different...its easy to see, and since game 3 we have looked off...out of sync...and not communicating well at all...its so easy to see....now will Osh and his staff make the moves and changes as needed...as the pieces are already here for most part...but not being used, and we for some reason...especially on offence are trying to re-create our identity and what we excel at....not sure why as it wasn't needed season is still early to make the required tweeks...before it snowballs out of control...so get it done...Even as it sits right now....across the board we have the best unit in the West....just have to put them in the right places to get back to that level we accustomed to. And will say it again...Osh needs to turn up the prickmode a bit...and also suck up his pride...or whatever it is making him not want to use a rue thats ...a rule and would help us...and also put aside his penchant for favoring his tenured guys....and his mindset that everyone on the roster is a #1....cause they aint......do this....or even half of this and things would be a hella lot rosier and like I mentioned before....I saw ol Cal cut a guy at haltime....you dont perform....u were gone...also you couldnt stay on the field...your replacement was in the air lickity split

Some general thoughts: There were some danger signs going into this one. That BC game was considered to be "one of those games" - no worries. But since then...... even while winning, we have seen some of the same stuff.......lack of push inside on D, poor play in OL interior, poor/missed tackling, under performing of some vets, head scratching play calls puzzling roster usage and simply general inconsistency. The Bomber MO, last number of years........ has been to dominate the LOS, attention to detail, limit mistakes, 60 minute effort and the consistent ability to close out games, late. Plenty of this - was completely missing last night, culminating in a ugly collapse and getting beat by a QB making his first start. MOS loves his veteran players - and they love him. But looking at the performance of some of the vets lately - Darby, and Alexander were terrible last nite, Neufeld , our C, and Hardrick have been bad, all year. We have some young blood that appears to have some upside Eli, Lawson, Dobson, Haba, et al. May be time to tweak this lineup a bit - if MOS can bring himself to do it.
