I absolutely don't like or understand the defensive roster........ but Jesus Christ, I'm not hoping for Edmonton to win just to prove a point. We spent enough time in the dark ages begging for wins. I'll take 'em no matter what the roster is. Just find a way to win, by any means necessary..... even with a sub par use of roster. Also think there's a LOT going on behind the scenes that we don't know about and would likely explain some of the more curious decisions.

That’s totally fine, but if that’s the case … it really just goes back to what Booch and I said all off-season. Why would you not have competition in camp? We’re starting Les Maruo and Rehda Kramdi this week and the only reason is because longevity on the roster is all that matters to O’Shea. Absolutely no competition at either spot. And this is what we’re left with.

The sample size is large enough now that we know that there are issues on the OL. Why won't they make changes??

With Clements down, Les Maruo is listed as the starting weak-side linebacker. Also listed there are Canadians Jesse Briggs and Tanner Cadwallader along with American Brian Cole. The Blue Bombers have made four changes to the roster this week, adding WR Kenny Lawler, DB Jamal Parker, dime back Redha Kramdi and FB Damian Jackson. Off are WR Carlton Agudosi, DB Jake Kelly, LB Malik Clements, and DE Celestin Haba. like really?...Is that the best use of the roster?...I guess when u have zero coverage on your PR....Sucks about Haba (on 6 game)...that mean we see gobs of useless Bennett?...What Purpose does Jackson fill?...Myabe Fox would be better with Haba down? just makes you shake your head Just another display of our ineptness building a roster...Parker was a better HB than Corner....and Rose a better Corner than Parker...is this cause we have zero backup returner option?...Pityfull...

we need to go back to the best home blue jersey ever and the normal gold pants for 90% of home games...plain and simple...as well as the mid 80's away whites....solid white with the blue/gold/blue wrap around the bicep and just numbers...no blue shoulders...no other crap

I see no reason why Cole couldn’t start. He’s clearly got an extremely high football IQ, motor, and tremendous athleticism. He’s tough as nails and really sells out the body to make plays happen for other guys. The only issue I could see is him possibly doing too much with teams and D but take him off teams or use him sparingly. Our cover team has been drastically better with the guys walters brought in. When Hansen and the goat are back we probably have the best cover team in the league. Man if Zach gets hurt for real, again behind this ol things are gonna get real ugly real fast in bomberville. We would solidly be the 2nd worst team in the league with out Zach.

What a piss poor roster. MOS needs a kick in the ass. Walters too. 1. If Cole can't start and you have the use Mauro, you guys screwed up. 2. If an American DE goes down and you have nobody on the PR to replace him, you screwed up. 3. Going with 6 DL, what the ****? 4. No changes to the oline. So when Zac gets hurt and we're screwed for this year, what cliche will MOS trot out?

Maybe Wilson and Rose aren't ready to be rostered yet. Fine. But jesus why are we starting and extra Canadian and a global? How can Cole not beat out Maruo? Can he really be 4th on the depth chart? Haba goes out and they don't add another Dline?

I think it’s not about us being able to sign guys. I think it’s the pr crammed with dead weight. We keep bringing in super high up side guys and they are gone as fast as they came. No commitment to developing guys.

Because our roster management is about as good as discipline is on a Craig Dickinson team. It’s hard to evaluate the source of the issue. But I think a lot more people will have eyes on ba for a bit.

Can't give the Elks a sniff of thinking they can win tomorrow, put up points early like they did in Ottawa but this time don't let off the pedal, run up the score and even though it's the Elks send a message that last week was a one off

When they run 3 rushers...and twist or loop a guy in the middle our center looks lost...thats where a lot of the breach is....and then ZC has nowhere to go but out side and hope that the end is tied up

I don't see any change in their protections and scheme. I don't believe they feel there is a problem. Max protect has always been used a bunch in the offense with a running back and one of Bailey, Demski, Wolitarsky. Max protect isn't a problem, it's not a like a QB is reading 6 routes in a play. Guys getting beat 1 on 1 is a problem, even 3 on 5 quite often. I'd much rather them run their offense out of max protect every passing down than go with the stupid empty look, even empty with 6 OL on the line. Pass rushers are just teeing off on that. Collaros isn't going to run so they know what's coming. We barely run screens or jet motion too.

B.A. has lost a step, he didn't come into the league as a heavy hitter but much like Mo Leggett he's moved in that direction, I would prefer he focus more on coverage and good tackling and less on punishment. I think Holm could become an excellent Safety eventually, he has the mobility and speed to cover the field well but doesn't carry a very big stick. The Als Dequoy can do it all and looks to be the best Safety in the league right now.

Times like these - even the best contributors around here can get a little frustrated. I check in much less regularly because I know they are speaking out of frustration but it does fire me up 😂 I think all this adversity will lead to us being at our best come the playoffs. Mid season 2019 people were piling dirt and m this team. I don’t care where we finish - just want to get into the playoffs and be firing at top form. Things will sort themselves out from there.

The best part is, we will have a few good drives on offence and put up points. Then coast and and let edm get close. But we will narrowly win the game due to Edms incompetence. And because of going 1-0 this week we will go into the bye with mos happy and coming out of it he will make no changes. Just in time for us to host BC here with a very similar roster +\- injuries to this week. Then get our asses handed to us by bc, again, losing the season series. We could be a border line .500 team after the bjb at this rate.

so we are rostering 8 Canadian starters, and 1 global starter when we don't need to, and leave ourselves lean on defense....We could have rostered FOX..or Wilson and put them on the field in lieu of Thomas and not even had to use the Nationalized rule which Osh seems determined to not use anyway for whatever reason...Heck we could have started Fox and Walker which would have allowed us to get by at times with Bennetts uselessness

I just dont get that due to injuries on defense...that we didnt roster a defensive player instead on Jackson and actually designated a Nationalized guy, and actually utilized it...that just blows me away Parker sure looked good there....

The only change made to the defense that collapsed in Ottawa is Kramdi in for Darby. We're playing with the same short handed DL we ended the last game with when Haba went out.

They need to clean up the practice roster on the bye. Should have another edge rusher, American or Canadian. Drop one of the OL. Pick a punter. Pickup a running back and if that guy can return kicks too even better.

Maruo and still no Wilson in the lineup after practicing fully all week?!?!? Like WTF. And no o-line changes??! I honestly hope do god the Elks take us right down to the wire and nearly win. Something might have been brought up once or twice this offseason about the folly of waiting on 30 year olds with achilles injuries (Hansen, Wilson) but we hadn't lost to the redblacks so the sky had not started to fall yet

Well i guess i am going to be the only one. Here goes...Jackson can play De, Maybe Wilson ain't ready,maybe their are injuries we don't know about? I will hang with MOS until he proves he can't win us another Cup?

I hate to say it, because it seems like such a ridiculous idea and I know it’s never gonna happen anyways but … if O’Shea is going to just blatantly handcuff our roster with his stubbornness and overall mismanagement, are we going to let him just because he won two Grey Cups? Or is Miller actually going to step in and do something? At what point do you tell O’Shea get your **** together or thank you for your services but they are no longer needed? That roster is literally a joke. And we’ve done it to ourselves.

Yeah, there's a lot of "yikes" on that roster. I just don't understand not rostering Kyrie Wilson when Clements is injured. That seems like a natural move, unless he's just not game-ready yet. Count me as also terrified of gifting the LOLKs their first win in forever...

Nuef has struggled a lot imo. He's getting flat out beat, often. That and there seems to be a bit of miscommunication between him and Kola sometimes. You can see them discussing something after Collaros is on his ass.

Kola has been a stop gap at best and he's been effective when the play on either side of him has been up to snuff but this year, you see the whole interior of the line getting exposed. It's not just guys coming clean but teams getting pressure / get home when only rushing three - when has that happened consistently over the last couple of years? As much as I love Hardrick's attitude, energy and typical level of play .. I don't know that he came into camp in the best possible shape and it shows a bit. The fact we run max protect as often as we do (and even had 7 linemen out there in the big fourth quarter of the Calgary game) is concerning to me .. it should be concerning to O'Shea and Pierce as well.

The good news is that we have viable solutions in house to whatever our issues are. Just have to be willing to do it. No real interest hearing either of those guys alone - let alone together. It would be easier to just throw him on ignore - so we don’t have to see his posts via your replies 😂 It isn’t worth your time.

Yeah...I will have to watch Yosh this week more closely but I dont think his demise is as bad as what people are saying...first 2 games he was pancaking guys left right and center...u dont fall off a cliff after game 2...I think its more scheme and what we trying to do more than anything....I can also see him shifted to guard at some point with Gray sliding out, and Dobson at his guard spot...not saying this yr, but maybe next....Cause next yr will be the yr we see the switch at center and guard with Dobson and Eli...if it doesn't happen this yr I think a line this yr of Bryant/Dobson/Eli/Neuf/Yoshi with Gray as the 6th would do wonders....and no need to to dress that 7th guy if we have another Canadian on the PR that was useful and actually used...Kelly would be a start seeing as he has been shifted to the PR
