  1. Kyle Walters and the Canadian mafia right now: Ryan Dinwiddie:

  2. We need a 3rd rotational end...plain and simple...and he also can move along line like WJ and Jackson does in not just an end capacity...if Haba down a bit it's a no brainer

  3. For what it's worth, it was nice to see Bennett make a play yesterday. I believe the play just before Lawson's interception he kept contain on the C gap and had a tackle for a loss. Was nice to see some life from him. But I fully concur that I wish we had Fox in the lineup. Walker is versatile enough to play DE (and did in some fronts with WJ inside) and it would just give us so much more in terms of options to have that 7th lineman.

  4. He sleeps 8 hours a night! Well actually he's pretty normal in that regard

  5. Interesting. Hopefully he comes on down to Winnipeg.

  6. Farhan just said one pre game show that Bombers one of 5 teams to reach out to Lemon

  7. You think the Lions that cut him in TC after signing him will be the team that overpays him?

  8. If it’s not Lemon, it’s gotta be somebody. We’ll see. I would imagine they’d prefer to make a trade for a guy like Bennett or Kongbo before bringing in Lemon, but it’s tough to say.

  9. We have three rotational DEs in Jefferson, Jeffcoat and Habba, Habba is hurt. We need Lemon or somebody else.

  12. Ha! BC’s Oline is getting killed. BS penalty

  13. Did Robertson just kick at the ball / VA on that sack? Regardless, it’s NOT good seeing another QB (potentially hurt).

  14. Lol, I forgot about that little detail. Maybe you're right but I just don't think we bring him in. He'll want too much money.

  15. That's the football player Schoen talking. The player whose helmet you have to hide on the bench so he can't go out on the field & hurt himself even more. It's not what he thinks but the medical staff whose opinions really count. I'm glad we're on a bye this coming week.

  16. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mason Bennett in Winnipeg next season either...

  17. They announced the change to fighting hawks in 2015 but officially switched in 2017. This is my hometown team! There are actually 5 guys currently in the CFL from UND, which is why I started watching. We have 2 of them: Olivera and Holm. Green and white forever, baby.

  20. yeah good analogy. And it was the Argos who basically handed us Collaros and two cups so I guess this is their karma payback lol

  21. Kelly is a good QB and Toronto is a good team.

  22. The Argos look like they completely demoralize teams like we used to.

  23. That might not be a good sign for Haba’s health. Was he put on the 6 game?

  24. for all the good and the way he busts his ass and does his role well...that is just such an epic waste of a DA and we totally dodged a bullet...If say Walker had went down...Or one of Jeffs...Biggie...we would have been so f#$@#!d

  25. I actually disagree that we got boned on that one... Demski ran back the 2 or 3 yards on his own before contact and I believe the ref actually got the spot right. My first thought when he caught it was "just fall forward" because he did have the first down, but then gave it up by running backwards a bit.

  26. Legend. I hear he wears a live rattlesnake as a condom.

  27. I didn't notice him take a head shot, I just thought the second guy coming in knocked the wind out of him, so I figured maybe he had sore ribs or something like that. Reading back through the thread, I wanted to address the complaints on the spot of the ball on the Demski catch just before the mishandled snap on 3rd and short. Demski caught the ball and ran back towards the line of scrimmage about 2.5 yards before he was tackled. There were complaints that the ball should have been spotted where he caught the ball, but the refs spotted it correctly because he ran back on his own without being pushed back. It's the same as a kick returner running back 5 yards to try and get around an edge and getting tackled for a loss. You only get forward progress if you are pushed back, not if you run back on your own.

  36. 2022-23 off season O’Day: what we do to get you to come back? Name it and we’ll make it happen. Dan Clark: I’ve always wanted to try playing DB O’Day: Done. Hell we’ll even put you on the boundary corner. Can you say CFL All Star!

  37. It won’t be this year but I really think Holm will be an all-star next year. He’s starting to get noticed and his compete level on some of these deep shots teams are taking at him is unreal. Love the way he never gives up, he’ll fight you the whole way down to the ground on a jump ball.

  38. Apparently Gray was not feeling well yesterday, which makes sense considering how late they made the switch. Concerned about Stanley, maybe he's nicked up and needs a few weeks to recover but he isn't handling speed so well these days and if targeted in a playoff game by a quick DE like Betts it could get ugly for Zach. The next game against BC should be a very good test of the O-line to identify deficiencies. I think they need to have a backup plan ready to roll in-game to relieve him if he's struggling and that might have to be Gray if there's no way possible to get Richmond onto the roster directly.

  39. First of all I think most people here are largely indifferent to Holm, it's just funny that booch is so anti-holm. I'm not saying who is right it just makes me chuckle. As for Houston yes he bit once and got burned for it... but he also made a lot of good tackles. This idea that he is struggling is stupid. Most of the dbs are playing pretty well. They get left in a tough situation a lot because of the no disguise blitzes we are in love with right now.

  40. OLB has been a disaster so far.......Wilson can't get back soon enough.....

  41. Lol, Houston targeted 19 times and on half of those, the ball is picked off or knocked down. I don’t remember who was complaining about him, but get out of here with your nonsense.

  42. Then I will gladly look this information up and report back. If we are going to have an ongoing narrative around here I'd like it to be backed by facts, not feelings Where do you get your completion % vs/catches allowed by specific DBs stats from? CFL.ca is unfortunately very limited right now, cfldb only has data from previous seasons Here's a little of what I scraped together so far: Holm - 7 games played, 29 targets (4.1/game), 7 PKDs 0 INTs Houston - 6 games played, 19 targets (3.1/game), 4 PKDs, 5 INTs Clements - 6 games played, 20 targets (3.3/game), 0 PKDs, 0 INTs Alexander - 7 games played, 21 targets (3.0/game), 0 PKDs, 1 INTs ADS - 5 games played, 23 targets (4.6/game), 3 PKDs, 0 INTs Holm certainly gets a share of targets but it's hardly lopsided. It appears ABS is quickly becoming the new target of choice for the opposing offense. Actual completion rates vs these DBs would be much more telling. I'll surely come fill this out further if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where to find catches allowed by/% compl. vs specific DBs

  44. WJ had two huge tipped passes in the 4th - including on 3rd down in the Red Zone. He has been ridiculous this year.

  45. We keep everything in front of us by design, I’d rather see us use more of a center fielder there. Personally.

Lawler........ made his presence felt early.....typical Kenny Demski......clutch catches deflated the esks....you could see the air being let out of their balloon on his td Jefferson .....been looking for a strong game from him for awhile.....he's definiely rounding into form Honourable mention to Holm.....the kid is getting better every time out.....maybe OSH was on to something
