Lions v Bombers Part 2

The last time I *EXPECTED* greatness from the Bombers, I got kicked in the nuts. Now, game to game, I just hope for a great effort by all involved, which usually allows us to win7 points -

Although I haven’t heard “Old Mo” rear his ugly head in a while, Suitor still trots out “This is the CFL, still plenty of time to score 1, 2, 47 points.” Laughable and pathetic.5 points -

Awesome, my buddy and I used to have a small hobby apiary (about 100 hives) until I developed a bee allergy and had to sell him my share. I sure enjoyed the work though. Those 3rd pulls could be backbreaking. My favorite part was extracting. Loading those frames and watching the liquid gold fill barrels was a highlight....along with the beer and laughs while we did it. He ramped up pretty significantly and now makes a nice living off of it.5 points

Our guys came into the game thinking and prepared for typical non-physical pansy BC Lions football and got smacked in the mouth for it. Does anyone think we are making that mistake again? Expect us to dominate both sides of the LOS this week. BC is about to discover how nasty we can be. Bet on that.5 points -

Should the Bombers hang a couple of sacks or INTs on Evans in the first quarter, preferrably close together, he will fall apart. He hasn't had a real test against a good defence yet and if our walking wounded are good to go, I am confident in our chances.4 points -

Could easily fit Sankey in and really make use of the nationalized American with Bighill. Our group of LBs have consistently missed that solid B to B guy to read and scrape to the ball. Why Hall compensates with run blitzes or playing Gauthier at middle and Bighill at WIL where he’s more suited.4 points -

man...people are giving Betts way to much credit for his ability...If the Elks can keep him sackless and off the stat sheet practically with their sad sack group and the Riders limit him to 1 sack and a handful of tackles than we will be just fine...Dude has basically had this yr where he has had some dominant play...He has 10 sacks...got 7 of them in 3 games....no Forced fumbles....Not sure if any knockdowns but he is not among league leaders WJ has 8 sacks...2 Forced Fumbles and leads league with 7 knockdowns....With Jackson back at full bore I think the Lions should be more concerned with WJ than we are with Betts...he of basically pedestrian stats save for several games this yr...4 points

can not find post re room temp superconductor it has been replicated twice by independent scientists: There might be more to LK-99 than skeptics expected, as two research teams have already confirmed the superconductivity claims — albeit in preliminary testing. Researcher Sinéad Griffin from the U.S.'s Lawrence Berkeley National Lab pored over the original paper, taking advantage of the supercomputing capabilities within the Department of Energy to simulate the LK-99 material. This complex-yet-simple concoction results from combining the minerals lanarkite (Pb₂SO₅) and copper phosphide (Cu₃P), which are then baked within a 4-day, multi-step, small batch, solid-state synthesis process. National Lab (LBNL) results support LK-99 as a room-temperature ambient-pressure superconductor.Simulations published 1 hour ago on arxiv support LK-99 as the holy grail of modern material science and applied physics. (https://t.co/4t4D2gIeBp)Here's the plain-english… pic.twitter.com/mQNQuO4TFuAugust 1, 2023 But in what's perhaps the most definite sign of a verification, Chinese researchers with the Huazhong University of Science and Technology have claimed to have successfully replicated the superconductor's manufacturing process, posting a video on Twitter as proof (expand the tweet above to see the video). The above video showcases the Meissner effect as being definite proof of the material's superconducting capabilities. The Meissner effect refers to the expulsion of a magnetic field due to the superconducting process. It is the reason why the video showcases levitating materials — they are interacting with LK-99's Meissner-induced magnetic field." https://www.tomshardware.com/news/superconductor-breakthrough-replicated-twice3 points -

By the Powell decision, do you actually mean the Powley Test? "Diversity" for them is just that, a prop to win votes and to be able to defend themselves as not being racist by holding up "diverse" people. Pallister did it before by saying his white, mostly male cabinet was diverse because they came from different parts of Europe. That is why Obby was such a big win by them, because they actually had someone that was not white. Was that a big reason why his company received a large share of Covid funding for businesses from the PCs? I'm assuming that is why Audrey Gordon has such a large role despite being completely incompetent as well. They hold up Alan Lagimodiere for his Metis status, but he is an outright racist against indigenous people. He even defended residential schools his first day on the job. The PC party doesn't care about diverse perspectives, they care about the optics and putting that little sticker of "diverse" on their chart.3 points

Yup.....be interesting game and true indicator...they have been basically healthy all yr...especially on defense...we have not We should be coming into this game the healthiest we have been all yr, our full projected starters on offence, And with Rose...Wilson and Parker likely all back in their spots on defense then our projected gys there as well. This game will be the litmus test....if they come in and beat us again..be it by 1 point...or 21 points than it is conceded they are the team to beat in the West to get to the Cup....If we come out and be what we have been the last 3 yrs...its a toss up, but I think tilts our way based on the whole ball of wax, and the been there done that before part of it and I am sure that image is racing around in Evans head as well...and is gonna make him antsy and likely cough up the ball...multiple times3 points

That's why its not a going concern for me...HE's had sack seasons of 2 (6 games) 0 (13 games with 8 starts)...7 (18 games started)...and now 10 (7 games)...hardly the all Dan Clarke of Dlineman He and they as a team had a quick start and a few games where they accumulated the majority of their sacks, and were also playing the jump the snap routine until they started to get flagged heavily for it...and assume was some teams likely sent tape to the league, and when they stopped that....the numbers tapered down Interestingly enough they are tied with us for the league league, whereas ours are racked up consistently game in and game out, yet it seems nobody wants to acknowledge it, let alone admit we pressure and get the sacks probably better than any team in the league...lead the league in passes knocked down by 16 over the second best team ....and lead league in opponent completion % against....which are key indicators that the dudes up front are getting things done.... and I like that nobody is realizing it let alone recognizing it....and that was with a beat up defense...missing key parts throughout the first 7 games3 points

You mean his unnamed brother who Klein said confirmed it? Come on, man. The guy paid a couple hundred buck to a for-profit "Metis" community to get his status (as did his mother's late brother) that sprung up in 2002 when they identified a revenue stream. A community that refused to be interviewed on the subject. A community which has an extremely loose definition of Metis. And it's not just CBC's genealogical search calling out his B.S. You've got an expert (Jean Teillet) pointing to all the red flags. And his own brother... Klein has his lawyer threatening the CBC and falling back on "it's personal - leave me alone". Klein can't be trusted on anything. Coincidentally, his canvassers showed up at my door last night and I told them I had zero interest. The guy says, "He'd like to hear from you. What would you like to tell him?" My response "He's a slimeball".3 points

We won’t not with 3 weeks earlier start. We will lose guys for sure. It’s not about pr expansion it’s about timing it earlier enough for guys to get up to speed. if you want to be that new Canadian basketball league and watch the qbing and player quality plummet sure. You mean like rose, Sergio etc coming back from the nfl at the dead line? If that was really our methodology we’d have 1 gc not 2. It’s also not just about ringers. It’s about the top canadian drafted talent too. Guys like gray would’ve missed most of a year here easily instead of coming up. Push the season back 3 weeks and we will see even less of the top canadian talent.3 points

Chris Jones is the sole reason there is an Ops cap so he has nobody to blame but himself. If you're going to let him off the hook here, what's next? Another secret stash house for extra players not on the books? I feel bad for Cui because he inherited that mess but their BOD should be given the axe since they started the tire fire by signing a guy like that to a long term deal while still paying the previous coaches. They should have waited for Cui's hiring to be finalized & allow him to hire who he wanted. I do think the Ops cap should have some tweaks to it though. I don't think it's fair they get fully guaranteed contracts while players don't so make it a similar scenario. Only partially guaranteed contracts if you meet certain criteria, otherwise the team is only responsible for the current season.3 points
