You nailed it. Easy rtp. A bomber fan did a screen grab where you can see the ball out of collaros hand and not by a small margin and ealy was still on his feet. He took atleast a step then dove. Then he dropped his full body weight on a defenceless downed collaros, targeting and hitting his head. Game speed, fast forward, pause, slow mo doesn’t matter. That was a penalty several times over. exactly. Jeffcoat has been called twice for rtp on sacks where the qb ducks and goes head first into his arm. If that’s a flag every time then hitting a downed defenceless qb in the head is one too. That part should’ve been a misconduct. They should’ve penalized him twice on the play.4 points

No interpretation is needed. No speed matters. zero tolerance on hits to the head of the qb. Thats the rule. They called a horse collar on us the previous week that goes entirely against the spirit action and intent of a horse collar as well. But collaros was spun by an arm inside his name plate in the exact motion of a horse collar. If he didn’t slip out of that it could’ve been a career ending injury.3 points -

Is Oliveira quietly putting together an MOP type season? With injuries and BC/Winnipeg running away from the West it looks like no QB will hit 5000 yards and you might not see someone throw for 4000 depending on Collaros' injury. At the halfway point, 703 Rushing yards and 274 Receiving Yards puts him on pace for almost 2000 yards from scrimmage. 1406 yards rushing would be the 4th most ever by a Canadian. Only on pace for 8 TDs which would probably need to come up a bit. He's been the focal point of a few 4th quarter, game sealing drives and is gaining a reputation as a back who is going to consistently eat clock for you in those situations. The bottom 4 teams for rushing yards against are MTL, CGY, HAM and EDM and wouldn't you know, that makes up 5 of the Bombers last 9 games.2 points

I don't know if anyone was watching the last 2 minutes of the game but that damned secondary of the Lions are pricks. One of them went on all fours. Another DB standing up made a motion of pulling his pants down & sat on him & acted like he was taking a crap. I was shocked. The others were just dancing around. I've never seen such a tasteless display by a bunch of classless a$$*****. They should be fined for that. Campbell should be ashamed of what his punk secondary did. Was definitely a RTP on ZC....Checked off most boxes as per the rule....wasn't a malicious shot...I dont think...But the fact he hit him in the head...and doesn't matter what part of body you do it with...it is supposed to be called every time...and wasn't...why I don't know...especially when an injury occurred, but whatever....we soldiered thru like great teams do......it is sad tho when we have seen way less called on a "hit to the head"....one which stands out beinbg WJ jumping up to try and knock a pass down and on his way by his hand brushed the top of the QB's helmet....to the extent I dont think the QB even knew....so define the damn rule and stick to it...any hit to QB in the head while he in the pocket...behind the LOS and or in the motion of throwing outside the pocket...easy peasy...cut and dried....no room or need for interpretation...u touch it...u get flagged 3 stars tho Brown (for the obvious) Bailey (gritty catches and runs...and hellacious blocking for his bro's...prime example last night why he is so vital) BO and BOLO (BO for taking over and not being denied...and sapping the Elks will to tackle...and BOLO stepping up and making key catches...and key blocks) HH to Rose and Wilson for that vet presence and helping keeps things calm and under control...and getting better with reps....2 key additions2 points

This is the rule. He clearly lands on him with most of his weight. (#1). He hits him in the head. (#2). He had to dive onto Zach on the ground which means he didn't make an attempt to avoid the hit. (#3). Zach is out of the play at the time of the hit. (#4). Article 5 — Roughing The Passer Because the act of passing puts the passer in a particularly vulnerable position to injury, special rules against roughing the passer apply. Once the ball is released, defensive players must avoid all unnecessary contact with the passer. A player shall be penalized for any act of Unnecessary Roughness to the passer, including but not limited to: Contacting the passer in an unnecessary manner, including stuffing him to the ground, violently throwing him to the ground, and landing on him with most of the defender's weight, Any blow above the passer's shoulder, All rushing defenders must attempt to avoid forcibly hitting a passer in the pocket, at or below the knees, either if their path to the passer was unrestricted, or if they are coming off a blocker, Attacking the passer who, after releasing the ball, is either standing still or fading backwards and is obviously out of the play and remains out of the play, When the quarterback slides feet first, all unnecessary contact must be avoided. The slide must be done in a timely manner to allow the defence to avoid such contact. Contacting the passer if either the initial source of contact, or primary source of contact, is the defender's helmet.2 points -

On August 17, 1959 Edmonton lost to BC 12-0, and the following week they beat Sask. 55-0. 67 point swing. Not even sure that’s the record, but this took me one minute of digging to find this. Either the “CFL stats guru” is in the wrong job, or I am. *UPDATE* So after some more digging, I am certain that the point swing record in Canadian football belongs to Montreal and Hamilton. On Oct. 20, 1956 the Alouettes beat the Tiger-Cats 82-14 (the 68 point margin is still a record), and the following week Hamilton won the re-match 50-14, so both have a point swing record in consecutive games of 104. In the CFL era (since 1958) I believe the record is 83 points, by the 1999 Hamilton Tiger-Cats (lost 52-19 in Montreal then beat Winnipeg at home 65-15 the next game). Next best is 80 points, by Hamilton in 1981 (57-13 win over Toronto followed by a 41-5 loss to Edmonton) and again by Winnipeg in 1991 (68-14 win over Hamilton, then a 46-20 loss to Ottawa). For biggest point deferential in consecutive wins, Edmonton technically holds the record for consecutive regular season games at +102, but it is spread over two seasons (beat Toronto 61-7 in their final 1981 regular season game, and then beat Ottawa 55-7 in their 1982 season opener, but they played playoff games in between those matches). Those aforementioned 1999 Tiger-Cats also hold the single season record at +92 in consecutive wins, beating Edmonton 54-8 and then Saskatchewan 63-17 for back-to-back 46 point victories. Calgary is next best at +88 (54-15 and 52-3 over Sask. and Tor. respectively in 1994). And Saskatchewan holds the record for largest point differential in consecutive losses, losing 55-0 to Edmonton and 61-8 to Winnipeg in consecutive weeks in 1959 for a -108 differential.1 point -

Ron Johnson Says COVID Was ‘Pre-Planned’ in Batsh*t Fox News Rant -Reuters Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) went on an epic fear-mongering rant on Friday, telling Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that COVID-19 was “pre-planned” by unnamed elites with the goal of taking away human rights. “This is all pre-planned by an elite group of people,” Johnson said when discussing the pandemic and vaccines with the right-wing TV host, adding that this group wants “to take total control over our lives.” Of course, Johnson failed to mention a single member of this “elite group” that has such an influence over the nation, and suggested no motive for them wanting to take “total control” over our lives and freedoms, either. But apparently, according to the senator, the group is already accomplishing their goals “bit by bit.” “They do it by massive government spending, increasing the size of government, taking over the WHO,” he said.1 point -

Difference between Crum and Brown is that Brown is a QB and Crum is a RB that occasionally throws. The prospect that can throw will have more success. The Crums and Fords will replace the Prukops in time. Both types have useful skills...the thrower will earn a lot more.1 point -

Braced himself? By sumo splatting a QB in the head that didnt have the ball and was laying on the ground. LMFAO. I think the factor a lot of people are missing here is that it was a hit to the head plain and simple. Point of contact was Zach's head. Doesnt matter if it was a "bang-bang" play and wasnt late or he tried to "brace" himself whatever the *uck that means. He hit Collaros in the head which is "above the shoulder pads" in the rule book and is 100% roughing the passer. No one can argue against it.1 point -
I think the hit should pretty clearly have been called RTP. The defender had plenty of time to stop, or try to maneuver around Collaros. I'm actually finding it a little strange how people are framing the matter of "intent" or "maliciousness", Stegall and Dunnigan included. As far as I can tell, Ealy chose to land on Collaros unnecessarily. The suggests that he did intend to hurt him, making the hit, in fact, malicious. It wasn't the most egregious hit I've ever seen, but I don't think calling it dirty is unfair. Hope he gets a suspension.1 point
-
If the contact at 3:20 of this video is roughing the passer: then what Ealy did to Collaros, mostly landing on his head, is most definitely roughing the passer... regardless of when it happened (ie. before or after Collaros let go of the ball), it was 100% contact with the head in an avoidable situation because if his knee had touched the ground, he was down by contact, so there was no reason for Ealy to even touch him, nevermind fall on his head.1 point

While the FG% is the same, Sergio is making 88.4% of his converts and Legs is at 66.7%, an area where he has struggled before. Sergio has 7 attempts from 40 or beyond while Legs has 3. 6 out of 19 or nearly 33% of Legs kicks are from less than thirty yards while Sergio has only 3 from that distance. I wish Leigghio nothing but the best but I'd rather have Sergio.1 point -
