Could be aa cashflow issue. You can be short on cash but still have many non-liquid assets. Not an oxymoron at all. My bank account needs cash but I have two able-bodied children I could sell.10 points

we won't lose Walters. If it comes down to the cap being a problem then give Ritchie Hall a well earned retirement and hire a younger defensive coordinator and save money there. Boom Walters is back.9 points

The mental gymnastics they had to do to avoid picking Bombers was comical. We’re going to pick Kelly over Collaros because he had a big game last week, but we’re going to pick Betts over Jefferson even though he’s been held sackless over the past 3 weeks.7 points -

I have a family member that went full transition female to male. They are way happier now as a straight male than a gay woman. It took me a long time to look at them and not see who they used to be, but I get it now, this is actually who they were all along and are way better off now than they were before. It may have even saved their life. They were born in the late 70s, this isn't some kid raised by the internet, its someone that had the same 80s/90s analog upbringing as many of us here. They didn't have to be taught to think or feel this way, it's just how it was and I believe them That being said, nobody actually identifies as a cat, outside of Maureen Ponderosa or a few pronoun-bedazzled Tik-Tokers that crave to be unique and different from all the other unique and different Tik-Tokers. Transitioning isn't going away but Xim/Xer's and the pronoun laden cat people are a fad that will be pretty cringey in retrospect. It's like people who used to say they 1000 year old were vampires on my space. Where are they now? 2 kids and a white collar job. They grew up and got on with their lives.6 points -

The whole world needs a heavy dose of mind your own F###ing business. Who am I to tell someone else who they should love or be are attracted to. Or how they feel about who they really are .( gender wise ) .It's got nothing to do with me. Neither does what someone's choice about carrying a fetus to term. Or for that matter what books are in a library. If I find them offensive, I won't read them or let my children read them. Like I said, the whole world would be better off if we took a pill ( figuratively) and minded our own business.5 points -

Top OL on a team that is tied for second last at protecting the QB and 5th in Net offense, not above 4th in any major offensive category. Calgary just collecting vet receivers and DBs running on fumes. Major personnel issues there. Find some players.4 points -

First off, identifying as a cat has nothing to do with gender, so playing along with that is dumb. Second, I don't know that I believe that's actually a thing... it wouldn't surprise me if that was something that someone came up with as the "big scary extreme" to scare people into not accepting true gender diversity at all because they just don't want to.4 points

Anybody seen the PC bus bench ads attacking Wab and saying crime will be worse under him? The candidate they have featured on them has tweeted in the past that BLM is a terrorist organization, Blue Lives Matter, that systemic racism doesn't exist within the police and has said that those who want to defund the police should not have access to 911 services. Wab gave a good speech today about how his past helped shape him into who he is today. Honestly, I'm tired of people bringing up Wab's past. Would not happen nearly as much if he was white. My proof, Scott Moe is Premier of Saskatchewan, how often do you hear about the fact he killed a woman because he was driving recklessly?3 points -

Agreed, the Bomber fatigue is strong across the league. But, man... the Argo and Lions... ugh, I have tired about these two teams since last year's non-stop Rourke-ka-paloose-a-fest, turned 24/7 Betts-bloc-patry-rama, now the Vaj-matastic-gogo-thon-kneebrace edition... and the Dame-doo--whop-bopparama... it non-stop... like we get it... Doman's doing a good job getting interest in the Lions... good. But holy ****... take your head outta their asses for a moment and breathe... And the Argos... GC Champs, 6-0 and still no one gives a **** about them- i legit feel sorry for them, they need all the press they can get...3 points -

I'm in the middle of a few things right now..... reading an old CFL book from about '99 that sort of details Grey Cup rivalries between various teams (eg A chapter on Ticats vs Bombers over the years), also reading the newest updated version of Kives' "Daytrippers Guide To Manitoba" which is one of my favourite things to re-read each year. Also in and out of Kives' "Stuck In The Middle 2: Dissenting Views of Manitoba", which has been interesting.3 points

Ritchie and Bauer were at odds, Ritchie knew it and held tightly to veterans to try and avoid giving Bauer a reason to fire him. It was moreso going with Daley that screwed things than firing Ritchie. Firing Berry was a mistake, the bigger mistake was going with Kelly. Don't fire people and replace them with worse people.3 points

I was in Moosejaw a couple weeks ago. Private liquor all over, good for competitive pricing and consumer choice I'm told... the selection sucked and the cost of beer was ridiculous. $38 for a 15 case of Original 16, brewed and canned right there in Saskatchewan, when that same case sells publicly for $26 a province over in Manitoba. Cui was handed the mess and wasn't given the opportunity to even try to fix it. He started the season with some good marketing to get people in the seats, but there's only so much you can do from a marketing perspective when the team is so bad that fans are wearing paper bags on their heads. If he had hired Jones, then 100% I would agree with you, but the fact that the board signed that contract before hiring Cui, I can't blame him for anything that is wrong with the team right now. Agreed with others that I felt that he was like Doman in BC. Was he good at his job? Who knows, maybe he was, maybe he wasn't, but we'll never know because the team on the field is so bad that nobody can market it and create a good game day experience successfully.3 points

Edmonton can't fire Jones without being severely hampered due to the Operations cap. This is probably the only change they can make so they have the appearance of doing something for the fans and attendance. If this is the reason for this, very unfortunate for Cui who gets handcuffed with a coach and GM he didn't hire and couldn't fire. Not sure the operations cap is the best thing for the league. Have to think that without it, Jones would have been fired long ago. Imagine if we couldn't fire Joe Mack and Tim Burke because we didn't want to be hampered by the operations cap for the next couple of seasons.2 points
