I'd bet my life on him being a more productive NFL player today than anyone 5th on a NFL depth chart today (the last or 2nd last receiver dressed). I can't believe some of the teams that run more spread stuff and use more receivers didn't sign him.

A NAT DB of his calibre is always welcome. Last year he played lights out when given a chance. He also excelled on the teams last year, so at the very least he brings a ton to the table there.

Samuel Eguavoen...now there is a guy worth grabbing...4 yrs in the League....no PR eligibility...and likely now too pricey for any team to sign as a back-up or role guy...I'd be in his agents ear in a heartbeat....

The Rourke stuff is insufferable. Dozens of Canadians in NCAA and NFL. Not even half the hype around Tre Ford at any point here. Wonder why TSN is so far up the Rourke families butts.

I don't think the Argos are in danger of losing the first round bye in the playoffs. TO is 2 games up on Montreal WITH a game in hand. The only "problem" game for the Argos is the Bombers. The Bombers are coming off a bye week when they play them, and if the BC game was any indication, the Argos might be in for a long night.

10 games in a row will be a tough slog. I won't go so far as to say that we need the 1st round bye... but we need it. Of course I was discussing the Labour Day Classic. Hope your Bombers have a good game on Labour Day too.

he was really good in his only start last year... I know 2.5 quarters of the game was against back ups... but I recall him doing well against starters too... was hoping he could be a ratio changer at corner this year

Sometimes you have to play the refs as well as the green guys on Labour Day.....They like to have a leg up ....especially if the stands are full and we are pasting their arses to the wall.....No more hitting Zack on the ground and looking the other way........hopefully..GOBOMBERS

Also possible Schoen is just one of those dudes who is perfect with the waggle. That was suspected by some.

As a stupid 17 year old, I fully believed in Reinebold and "a younger mentality" after Kindly Cal's old school ways. In a lot of ways, those seasons galvanized me as a Bombers fan. So many jumped off the wagon, and I was determined to hang on. I have vivid memories of listening to the Troy Kopp game on my little CD/Radio in my BU dorm room and just screaming and yelling so loud that people came running down the hall wondering what the hell was going on. Ha ha. 2013.... the irony of a shitty defense then is that Burke circa 2011 is one of the best DC's we've ever had. Lapo even said he was the biggest FA acquisition they made going into that year and a big reason why we went to the Cup. There were dark times, and I certainly came close (as Matty Geebs alluded to, 2013 era was SO bad...) but 17to85, in one of the only times I can think of him ever being right about anything, said " You have to hang on because one day this is going to end, and when it does it's going to be all the more glorious for having gone through this ****".... damned if he wasn't right for once.

It's pretty obvious why Rourke get the attention other Canadians in the NFL do not: he's a QB. It's way flashier than pumping up a Nikola Kolinic or Tevaughn Campbell. I do seem to remember Chase Claypool on every network a while back, when he was lighting it up and newsworthy.

If Ford wants to start throwing for 400 yards a game and jump to the NFL, he can get that attention too.

Years in NFL, full season as starter in NFL Europe, half a season on the sideline here, and was the backup to Glenn who was injured when Martin got in. Not quite which narrative you’re remembering.

I am pretty zen about the whole roster usage with our record and consistently blowing out some really good teams. I get the frustration...but I'm just not seeing it as a big issue right now. If we start losing or not playing well, I reserve the right to circle back on this though.

It was the epitome of our entire season that year just wrapped up in one play really. After watching Tee just stink the joint out, he finally uncorks a beauty like that and it would have won us the game and Kamau had oven mitts on.

Rose had quietly regained his all star form after a shaky start returning from injury. The past 2 games he has been outstanding. Doesn't get the kudos he deserves for the excellent season he is having. Night and day difference in our defence when Wilson and Rose came back. Our D has been killing it the past several games.

Calvillo never really felt like a gunslinger/move the pocket/big play guy. He was a methodological pick you apart with accuracy and knowing exactly where the open guy would be as the ball hit his hands guy. I thinkd those kinds of QBs have a much longer shelf life.

I hated the musical.

One thing I've learned over the years is that as a fan you never should take your opponent for granted. When fans start talking guaranteed wins or they have no woriies that's when a snake under a rock bites them in the ass & we lose. Especially in Regina on Labour Day.

he could fill Darby's role, and allow us to dress a import dlineman....and also I would immediately put him in for Kramdi...and use that as our sole position on defence and use 4 imports on the dline, with heavy Lawson rotation to keep inside guys fresh and a slight sprinkling of Thomas...then we be talking! Ford was a fresh new face...Schoen was a 2x already guy....and NFL looks downward toward college walk-ons and have even more disregard for ones who go undrafted too....he was behind 8 ball, and was already up there in age

even if he just came back to play Teams and sub in a bit in the secondary for the back half of the season, that'd be outstanding. Is he still technically "ours" if he wants to come back to the CFL? nm - found it: The CFL’s NFL window dictate that Ford will need to sign back with the Blue Bombers if he returns to the CFL before February 2025, which is when his original rookie contract would have expired.

neither Fine nor Dolegala concerns me... just the "ghosts of LDC", more than anything. People talk about the 7-1 vs 1-7 game, but neglect to mention that was a dead cat bounce game because they canned their coach and brought back Grandpa for the rest of the season. Special circumstances. This game SHOULDN'T be close unless Collaros keeps ******* around. Hopeful this game he has the kinks ironed out and looks more like the ZC8 we saw in the 2nd half vs Montreal.
