  1. Hopefully TSN will let us know what his uncle thinks about all of this.

  2. Didn't like Proulx when he first became a head referee, but IMO he has morphed into the best head ref the league has.

  3. I'd like it if they stopped showing any family in the crowd. I'd also like it if they stopped interviewing ex players etc. while the game is going on.

  4. Hodge doesn’t think Ford will come back up here this year - so I expect him back in a few weeks.

  7. Facing reality and accepting that he can still be a big fish in a small pond is the best thing he could have done. Good for TOR and good for the CFL, we need QBs that can play

  12. This may go without saying but my stress levels have dropped substantially since the drought was finally ended in 2019. For awhile there I was worried that we were actually cursed and that my dad wouldn't get to see another Grey Cup win in his lifetime. Twenty-nine years is too long to go without a Cup, and I can't even imagine what a basket case I would be right now if we hadn't won in 2019 and 2021. 2022 GC was a kick in the groin for sure, but can you imagine if we were at 32 years of drought at that point, and lost to the Arblows because of a blocked FG? It would have been border-line suicidal for a lot of us. Anyway, I still want to win the GC every year with the intensity of a billion suns but at least I don't have that "we haven't won since 1990!!!" voice screaming in my head now all year during games and especially during playoff games. And thank goodness for that!

  13. People forget as well last yr he had 9 TDs...and over 700 yards...3rd most TDs om team and in top 8 in league...and that was with being basically ignored the first 5..6 games while he did the dirty work for others success...if he was anywhere else he'd be an easy 1000 yard top 10 guy in league..we lucky to have him so cheap

When I took drivers ed, part of it was driving with an instructor and near the end of the course we did a "mock test" to get us ready. I'd imagine this will be similar. MPI isn't just handing out licenses. They still need to do the course and get through it. Part of that course is being on the road with an instructor. My actual test, taught me absolutely nothing.

  18. I dont hate Kelly.....so not sure what you pecking at.....the Faj isn't a hate thing....just he is useless Why not show Demski's fiance in crowd...Zacks wife and kids when he ripping a team apart....how bout Biggies and or Willies family game in and game out?...they are all there....as are many other players families on all teams game in and game out...It's just a example of TSN 's lousy production and content abilities, and their insistence on trying to force feed fans and viewers on their narrative for the week/season.....it's bush league, and for most part people could care less....most I am sure would rather see what's going on at field level...maybe player and coach interactions on sidelines between plays...things like that which would add to the telecast.....same with their lame in game interviews where they totally lose focus on whats going on...if they think people wanna hear/see that then record these pre/post and put out a weekly show of lame interviews for some league content....so ram that up your tinfoil hat narrative

  19. I do. His uncle being Jim Kelly means nothing to me personally. It is a marginally fun fact. Do you honestly think it is making people watch that weren’t?
    4 points
  20. Oh that is odd, my eyes glaze over during those segments, I must have assumed dad was actually Jim. So TSN cameras can spot distant relations to relevant footballers in the crowd, but get faked out by RPO half the time. Oi.

  27. I just associate Kelly's 'big-league' attitude with the 'big-league' city of Toronto. More glitz and glamour, perceived or otherwise

  28. Even back in 2002 the #3 and 4 for receptions on the team were Charles Roberts and Mike sellers. Lapo lives and dies with short passes to running backs. Always has and always will.

  30. Very much agree. The year started pretty dismally for QBs, but there've been some positive flashes recently!

  31. yup good for the Argos and the league....also means something when a very good prospect at QB wants to stay in CFL

  32. i think he not wanting to take a fitness test, and prove his health/skill level was nail in his coffin here and made it easier for Walters....that and the facthe had rubbed a lot of vets the wrong way in 2022 just added to it....and since he has lef has done nothing of note....for about 65k more of a hit to the SMS than BO Imagine if we had retained him, and BO didn't get that yr last yr to learn/grow/find himself, he would have been doing that basically this yr, and may have never found his groove.....so things happen for a reason, and the smart football minds here allowed it to happen. I bet when all said and done, BO if he stays healthy will likely eclipse Harris's rushing numbers here, and will be a one team guy his career, as he is a humble and kid and truly feels privledged to be on his hometown team for all the right reasons

  36. He will be 30 next year - and has half a year experience as a starter in the CFL. The NFL was never really an option. Good for the CFL that he is sticking around though.

  41. All the deserved love to Lucky Whitehead aside, Bailey coming in for him was another key cog in making us a tougher team in 2019 (along with the obvious Zach factor and BA taking over at safety). Also wild that we had Chris Matthews starting earlier that year until he was replaced by one Kenny Lawler.
    2 points
  42. He moved on from us because we wanted stipulations that he would play games and have a proper off season and under estimated some one else’s willingness to over pay him. Baileys production for his amount of reps and being the last imp on the hot list plus his blocking and leadership are worth a lot. No doubt he could be a 1k plus guy with ease if he was a teams no1 or 2 target.

Not sure….. it will be explained over the next few days. But they will figure out a way to prevent any regulation, state or federal. also... wetlands do not conform to boundaries. so it makes no sense to have them regulated by states. basically not possible. it is on record, In their speeches, decisions, and opinions, that these hard right creeps are opposed to any kind of regulation of corporate activity. Koch brothers love them probably. last June “(Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on Thursday to block the Environmental Protection Agencyfrom regulating greenhouse gas emissions is likely to put a big chill on rulemaking by other federal agencies.” Did McConnell ever feel any kind of sympathy that we are aware of? With his power, has he helped a single person? Low life of the first rank. I have zero sympathy for him.

have no love for Mitch McConnell's politics -- his cynical manipulation of the Supreme Court and his cowardice at impeaching Trump over 1/6 means that Trump is going to ratfuck every federal election while he still lives. but, empathy for a human who seems to be suffering cognitive decline.

  47. interesting point to note...all the yip yapping about BC and the "donut boys"....but Wpg has given up fewer offensive points than BC's defence, as well as fewest offensive TD's....funny how the buffoons on TSN fail to acknowledge that...also fewest opponents passing yards against....(as they hype BC secondary)......fewest first downs given up...best opponents completion percentage against...best opp pass efficiency....least amount of passing td's given up...we actually still in single digits (only team under 10)...lowest avg pass distance...1 off lead league in sacks... I guess we are flying under the radar??...lol

  48. Interesting note from Our Man Tait (and always I encourage you to head to BB.com and read all the pieces in full) in the latest edition of Upon Further Review: "AND, FINALLY… there was some confusion Thursday as to the capacity at IG Field and whether the announced crowd of 32,343. Some background: when the building first opened capacity was listed at 33,500. Sellouts last year when the club led the CFL in attendance for the first time in franchise history were listed at 33,234. The new capacity is 32,343 with the further expansion of the party decks and the removal of flex seating to improve the fan experience. Thursday’s crowd was the first sellout of the season and the third attendance total to eclipse the 30,000 mark. The next two home dates include the Banjo Bowl vs. the Saskatchewan Roughriders on September 9th – that game is already sold out – plus a visit from the Toronto Argonauts and the return of Andrew Harris on September 29th. The Edmonton Elks round out the regular season schedule on October 21."
