They haven't been "starting" 2 Canadians on D. They've been declaring 6 on O and 1 on D. Parker and Clements weren't designated last week for example. They could have subbed in on D as much as they wanted. They are putting Kramdi on the field because they want to. They chose to sit Darby, who also was not being used as a DA, and could have put him in whenever they wanted for Kramdi. I doubt that's O'Shea overruling Hall given Hall's tenure here and in the league.3 points -

Why would you have more faith in this "report" than the other thousands? I mean everything you have posted above has been disproven and explained away. I mean here is the human trials for moderna's shot: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.08.22.23293434v1 Like- these people ******* lie, obfuscate, omit and cherry pick to feed this false narrative... I don't see the appeal of their faux convictions about these conspiracy theories. I get it, Covid sucks- the response while warranted was extreme and broke a lot of people, communities and so on. But man, if you can't recognize fact from manufactured/misplaced rage, I don't know what to tell you. It is good to be skeptical and question the science, good data and sound science thrives on that. It harms the scientific process if you can't accept the findings and where the data points to, because it doesn't fit your narrative or preconceived ideas.3 points -

Yeah, this is where the far left and far right eventually meet. The hippies have ALWAYS been against this kinda stuff.... pushing homeopathic/eastern medicine stuff..... but I feel like the far right wingnuts are relatively new to this. Since the pandemic.... driven by the Joe Rogan's of the world. Either way, they're all lunatics. Why would I not trust a man/woman who has spent their entire adult life studying this stuff, and 98% of these people all agree on the same thing? Who the **** am I to tell them they're wrong? Idiots.2 points

Sure, but the personal wealth if the individuals has nothing to do with the value of the XFL. Unless they're going to endlessly dump money into the product, the value of the league is represented by the revenue it brings in.2 points -
In the end...the HC makes the roster decisions...and generally his coordinators give input on things...but fact of matter the HC will put a roster together who the coordinator has to work with. It's why some games you see a guy stand there all game and not take a rep...he's a last resort and basically not really part of the coordinators plan...he gotta use what he's provided with...and some won't use certain guys because the end product is on them...so why would they wanna compromise their unit... Kramdi is who Osh is giving Hall...and knowing Osh and his ideals has told hall he wants 2 Canadian starters on defence even tho we don't do anything to take advantage of that with our roster. That is a concern of mine for yrs actually with OSH and a bit of favorite thing with Canadians at times over Americans more so than an American coach would ..no knock on Canadians but it's not always ideal...I guess also it's with military...seeing as he doing the reverse with Jackson...that's the only reason I can see that move...2 points

I'm concerned that New Era is planning on ditching our regular season home & away jerseys we have now next season since they made the helmet striping change permanent this season. Hoefully, nothing's up. Fans clamoured for years to bring back the old look & colours which they finally did. Message to Wade Miller: Please don't mess with what works. Make it better, if you want. Don't change it.2 points -

a) it's tested. thoroughly. there are REAMS of data that support this. I don't understand how you missed all of that data and studies upon studies, upon studies... not to mention the real life data that has poured in from hundreds of MILLIONS of shots... it's not untested. I fail to see why you still argue this point. b) it proven (see above) Sure there are side effects- medicine often does when you have millions of different people with different physiologies taking any medication. Odd point here, but how can you know that there are side effects if it's untested? I honestly would like to know how you can have these two competing ideas be true in your mind. c) it's not a new technology... it's over 60 years old. first discovered in the 60s.2 points -

Right, asking questions, raising concerns, informing yourself are good. No one here on this board that I've seen is suggesting blind faith. Real experts and specialists trained and experienced in specific areas can help inform people in how to be a responsible citizen, how to make good decisions for themselves, their families and people they care about knowing the benefit/risks involved. With your original dumb and dangerous post (I'm not calling you dumb, I'm calling your post dumb), it's completely misrepresenting the science and how our system works which is not perfect but it's pretty damn good. This anecdotal story that always sticks out to me was a nurse telling people she was treating a patient who was spewing nonsense about the safety and purpose of vaccines. She was treating him on an unrelated condition to Covid, pumping him full 5 different substances but nothing from him about what she was ingesting into his body.2 points -

NFL week 3 is approaching and Ford still has no deal even for a PR. OTOH, Bombers will be going into game week 15 of the CFL season. If he doesn't sign back in Winnipeg before the practising resumes, he's going to be out in the cold somewhat. No deals and no game checks. The longer it takes the less value he has in 2023. He might become trade bait for a team that wants him for 2024. I wonder what he's thinking?1 point -

I'm starting to get a little concerned about the recent performances by the Bombers and that concern is being compounded by the knowledgeable posters here who have been and still are concerned about roster management in particular. It seems to me that if posters here see issues with roster management and other coaching deficiencies, Coach O'Shea's supervisors (Walters and, ultimately, Miller) see this too. If the bottom line is to win (resulting in more butts in the stands and $$s in the coffers), surely they might pull the HC aside for a chat about this. If the HC is not fielding an optimum roster which might involve efficiently utilizing the new roster rules (designated Americans, designated nationalized Americans and designated nationals...gotta admit that I can't figure them out), might not that be grounds for at least a "talking to" by the GM or President? Thoughts?1 point -

Lots of relevant questions in here, for sure, but what it highlights is that none of us really know what's going on because we're not in the rooms. We don't know who the decision makers are. Even Booch, who's been closer to this than anyone here, or JBR, who has been a coach at junior level.... don't really know how the decision making process works for THIS particular group. We can all just sit and guess but nobody really knows. Lots of questions, indeed, and zero chance we get any answers any time soon.1 point

Thjey obviously feel that merging will increase revenues. Good luck with that. The XFL was losing millions. However, the XFL goes nearly 2 months earlier. That will have to change. It also means that the USFL franchises will now have to be sold individually & organizations set up in each city to sell tickets & market the teams. The USFL was run on the cheap with hub cities not having to spend millions on operations. That'll have to change. There'll be some sticker shock for sure. How do they sell off each franchise privately now is the question? That was always the USFL plan. To only sell off franchises if there was a buyer. Otherwise they'd say as a hub league. I prefer the USFL. I think they have better players & starting later will let them into US cities that have an actual winter as they start 6-8 weeks later. That may have been the stumbling block to an XFL-CFL merger. The start date. It would have been insane to play football in outdoor stadiums in Canada in February & March. The XFL may have been intransigent in moving back their start date to April.1 point -

That hockey themed jesey with the W we wore at the Banjo Bowl & now other home games as well is not one of my favourites. I like our blue home jerseys a lot. Worst all time. I just remember Jason Vega & Drew Willy looking so unimpressed with them at the unveiling. The team only wore them once & never again. I heard the players refused to wear them again after that single time. No one bought that jersey.1 point -
the bolded part (taxi squad) does date you as a longer tenured fan...love it And agree, and really going into this yr was the yr that we should have had at least 2 under studies working in and along with the starting lineup....That also goes for role players who are strictly just ST'ers...and a few guys should have been released in camp this yr as they are either 1) not gonna be in cogs next yr and beyond (Thomas...Machino...Scmeckle...even go as far to say Briggs) are a few off top my head and just blocking a fresh body of valuable experience and reps, or 2) They just not going to be good enough any more. Doin whole sale moves of a bigger swath next year, which seems likely now is not the way to do it...and why you see some teams go from top dawg...to being a risk to not even make the play-offs in short order ....in almost stunning fashion. Osh for all his success, still is learning and has some pretty significant flaws which it seems he is not willing to address, or maybe doesn't see and I chalk a lot of that up to his stubbornness and in some instances his personal bias's.....example the Nationalized American thing....no reason we don't use it, is because he doesn't agree with it, and likely in the rules committee mtg/vote was on the losing side of the majority Look back to 2019...we made significant moves to address weakness....Brought in ZC...Maston...Taylor and moved BA...all came at the back-end of the season...the majority of it in final 4..5 weeks...and look how it revitalized, and transformed us....it's needed again, but not sure it's gonna....Osh has been here what 9 yrs now?....no reason for these almost rookie type errors and omissions....That excuse no longer will fly1 point

This is what drives me crazy. There isn't a medicine on the planet that's safe and effective for everyone. It doesn't happen, has never happened. And likely won't in our lifetime (though AI may change that). Does that mean no one should take it? No. Does it mean they're lying...no. It means that for the vast majority of people, it's fine. But like everything, you may have a reaction to it. Should Tylenol be pulled from the shelves? Should cough meds? Penicillin? Where do we draw the line? The form I've had to fill out for the shots I've gotten have explained this. I'm not sure what else people want? it was not brand new.1 point -

The DL isn't making any plays because they are totally gassed and that's obvious. There is more than one issue. You need a team effort to overcome when your QB isn't perfect. Collaros can put up a game that someone like Nichols could only dream of and we lose because the D has no ability to get off the field.1 point -

Yup the majority of well trained, well educated, well experienced, well respected Canadian and International experts and specialists in many different areas of science, medicine, ethics etc etc completely dupe people with the word effective and completely gloss over elephant in the room type questions when testing the effectiveness of efficacy of treatment type substances. But only for Covid type ailments. The biggest issue for you is not the science, it's being mandated to do something that requires a choice on your part. I find it completely ironic that some of the same anti-science, anti-evidence people for years have told people that if they don't like our country than get the hell out but now are saying Canada is becoming a third world anti-freedom dictatorship . Are they going to heed their own advice they provide to others who slog this country for other reasons?1 point -

Yeah not sure if that was just a veiled excuse ..an issue of some long in tooth st guys who we just keep leaning on...but I think a decision to change something just for sake of change especially when it was working..and having basically all the same guys save for 3 or so is a pretty bad coaching decision...and to continue trying to implement it as it seems to be getting worse is even a poorer coaching decision...compounded by other poor decisions1 point

Hall's defenses here in general have been great at turning over the ball. That is what is missing this year, combined with offense turning the ball over and special teams too often losing field position battle makes the margin for this team to win games much slighter. It's mostly on the O to come out with points early. D has had a handful of dominant games but not a lot of big plays. Pass rush is not very impactful and coverages are not at all aggressive.1 point -
