This is the biggest game of the year. After a tough loss and a bye, at home in front of a sell out crowd vs the team that dethroned the bombers last year and the no1 team in the league. This will be the biggest indicator game for us. We should come out fast and hard while the Argos have every reason to be soft. We also still have the wf on the line. Lots of keys to success here. We gotta get consistent pressure on Kelly and with 5 or less rushers. We have to make him pay to stand in the pocket and make him uncomfortable. But we can’t sell out blitzes all the time and give him easy first down passes. The key to this is going to be dressing extra imp dl. Toronto loves to run outside/wide zone. The key step stopping their run isn’t as much going to be dl, it’s going to be about kyrie and biggie not getting washed out and filling the off tackle gap getting off blocks etc. Or dbs needs to do a better job of not selling out for picks (especially Houston) and hits (especially ba) or biting on fakes. We also need to get back to the gang tackling that made our secondary formidable. We have to protect Zach, and not get deep ball punch drunk. Gotta take what the D gives us, and pound the rock. Kick cover has sucked this year to put it lightly. We need to get back to our regular cover scheme, and stay lane disciplined.4 points

Our problem this year has been consistency, hasn't been Torontos issue. I know Diniwiddie said that Kelly will play only 4 more games to rest him for the playoffs, I hope he plays Friday so we can see Toronto's best vs our best at home, see where we stack up.3 points

Ultra rich don't spend their own money, Jacksonville in the NFL is asking for 1 billion to renovate and Khan is stupid rich. Oh if you don't give us the money we might move. Apparently the folks in Jacksonville don't seem to care if they move2 points -

You forgot Toronto FC which out draws the Argos pretty significantly. As for NFL football in Toronto you need a owner who would have to pony up a significant expansion fee or buy a team for some ungodly number. Then you need to build a state of the art football stadium which by the time they might get considered might cost 5B.2 points -

People in Toronto have the best team in the league, current Grey Cup Champs and they still get peanuts for attendance. Perhaps they still think of the CFL as inferior and long for an NFL team. Unfortunately it looks like the NFL has no interest in Toronto as they have shifted their sights across the pond to the UK and Germany and now are looking at Spain and Brazil to house some games.2 points -

They are an exact tribute to the 1948 RCAF team who I believe won a gold medal or something important They look ok to me. I won't buy one but maybe a toque. I'm also not a male fashion expert so.. I dunno. Some will buy. Some won't. Out of touch? Not really... I mean not everything they do should be a tribute to the franchise in Arizona I'd like to see a tribute jersey to the Winnipeg Falcons honestly Lots of people going to the games now, they weren't around in the 80s and 90s. They have no memory of the former franchise. Winnipeg has a rich hockey history outside the Jets also, I see no problems with them recognizing it. Not everything needs to be 80s Jets related2 points -

How did we lose to the RedBlacks, Ti Cats & Riders??? All with rookie qbs. Huge difference when Matt Scianetti hosts. He actually knows what he is talking about. Kate should be reassigned to doing checker tournaments but in today's world of broadcasting, she gets a free pass onto the panel as the token female. Scianetti should be hosting & Dave Naylor should be a full time participant on that panel. That would be an immediate improvement.2 points -

Nah not that far off when the Bombers are firing on all cylinders, I like our chances. Obviously consistency is the issue this year, some guys seem a bit older slower a bit off this year and our game plans on both sides of the ball is sometimes suspect especially when we play from behind, but I think we’ll be okay. Hopefully the bye will recalibrate us appropriately. Obviously the TO game coming up will tell us a lot.2 points -

That’s factually inaccurate. The Argos had more good years than bad attendance wise in the 90s with a lul post flutie and a 2000s bounce back. The 93-95 argos especially struggled to compete with the jays post back to back ships. The late 90s post flutie era did the same when the raptors came to town. the only thing that’s gotten better in the to market in 5 years is how good the Argos are at lying about attendance. mlse didn’t do any thing management wise. Pinball was running it and changed positions as he had in the past depending on his ability to devote time to the team. He put dinwiddie in place and they built this team. That’s got nothing to do with mlse. Mlse came into a team that was consistently hosting a home play off game every other year and they won 4 games in back to back years. They have a team that should be a contender now. Last year was a surprise win and this is the first year of them being a serious contender.1 point

They rested Ouellette last week so he could match up against us this week, I'm sure. Kelly will play most if not all of our game to prove a point. I hope we absolutely slaughter these assholes, both in score and physically. If like to see some smirks wiped off faces. Having said that, I do not trust this year's Bombers at all.1 point

If MLSE wanted to promote the Argos they could but don't want to. They own the Leafs, Raptors, Bluejays & Toronto FC. They could cross promote. They could do a lot of things but don't. Except ***** that the Argos doesn't grow in value. Or that they want to join the XFL. I like how BC owner Doman told Tannenbaum to suck it up & quit complaining.1 point -

The same question is asked here in YYC. We have tons of oil money & a billionaire who owns the Stamps a couple of times over in Murray Edwards & nothing ever gets done. The Flames (whom he also owns) proposed a new arena in 2015 & here we are... Eight years later.1 point -

That’s what modern defences are designed to do. It used to be about showing one thing pre snap and another post snap. Forcing two reads to be accurate and track the change. Now it’s even post snap with asymmetrical coverage. It’s not one guy covering one guy or even covering one area any more. It’s 4 guys sharing the coverage on one side of the field. And that can change from 4 to 5 to 3, to one of those guys playing man and the rest playing zone, or rotating guys to the inside or over the top to take away different angles. The WRs are reading the defence to adjust patterns and the coverage is reading the patterns to adjust their coverage. If the play gets rushed or it’s a fast timing play and the coverage call is lucky or really smart you get a play that makes a qb or oc look real stupid and a db or dc look brilliant. And vice versa. Zach had a pick Vs Hamilton like that.1 point -

But you look at places like Italy, who had the army patrolling the streets to make sure nobody left their house....that's a lockdown. Nobody in Canada was ever in a true lockdown. Curling

I curled in the School Boy's Bonspiel ( now called the Junior Men's Bomsiel) in the mid 70's & later the MCA Bonspiel (later in the 70's to the late 80's). I liked the curling facility at the Highlander. I guess it's now a hockey rink. Our biggest claim to fame in the Junior Bonspiel was having our team mentioned as "the team to watch" by CJOB's Bob Irving on his 12;25 pm sportscast as we were undefeated going into the 8's of the Free Press Event. Then we ran into the buzzsaw team skipped by Dale Duguid (the eventual champ) who cut us into little pieces & It. Was. Over. It was fun while it lasted.1 point -

The Team Prez says a new stadium is off the table. They want to renovate Percival Molson Stadium. The place is 113 years old. Just how many times can you put lipstick on a pig? Oh an injury. That's part of the game & that is what Harris was dealing with his final season here. Just pure ego & selfishness. Pay me or else. Or else meant the Argos & look where he is. Backing up Ouelette, a guy he probably thinks isn't as good as him but he was still being paid to sit getting limited reps. Now he's been 6 gamed on the IR.1 point -

Yep Collaros getting his big pay day impacted the Bombers depth tremendously. Anyone thinking kellys big new contract won't impact the argos is only fooling themselves. Especially as it's the cfl and a lot of other guys are going to want raises too as contracts are always expiring. Funny thing about teams that have success, lots of guys deserving of raises on those teams.1 point

Muamba's salary won't count against the SMS. It's a savings to cost of business perhaps but it can't be applied as a shift to Kelly in that sense. Bladek if he retires or is released but someone has to replace him. The Argos will have to make some choices to off set the increase to Kelly. We'll see how they do it.1 point -

Bombers have 2 extremely important games coming up. Even if we lose to TO we still have a shot at first. That BC game is ultra important cuz if we win that game we have the tie breaker and BC has to overtake us. Anyways, Bombers need to start playing some better football. Let's get some consistency going and start putting fear into the rest of the league.1 point -
