    Argos at Bombers GDT

Speaking of BO....31 yards shy of beating Harris best season rushing here...with 3 games to go ..and likely a dogfight to the end he will obliterate it

  2. I'm going to this game! Just got my tickets.

  3. He's also only 70 yards back from Harris' receiving totals from that same year, Oliveira is no one trick pony. MOC and MOP

  4. Conversely if it comes down to a poor weather game I like the Bombers to ground and pound a hell of a lot better than the pansy assed lions. Likes aren't amazing at stopping the run and Brady has been pummeling teams lately. That's a matchup win for winnipeg all day every day.

  5. Holy **** they got Green Day for the half time show! Didn't think they could top Underwood but they did. That's going to be unreal!!!

  6. Good point. I will counter with the advantage that comes from a sold out IG Field.

  7. The O runs through Brady. Every time we go away from getting him the ball, the O slows down. Hard to argue him as the MOP right now. Collaros likely brings more to the table leadership wise right now. But no one is playing better than Brady on this team.

  8. TSN doesn't do the volume of a sold out IGF justice. It is deafening at times. Home field advantage is real

  10. Don’t matter who we play or where we play come playoff time. We execute properly with the talent we have compared to the other 8 teams, we win, they lose.

  11. Yeah no one doubts your experiences or any of that, but it's the over the top language and hyperbole that people take issue with. Are there roster tweaks that could help? Yup sure are. Is it a severe handicap? Not at this point no. Just making things a little harder on themselves. In my estimation You're taking this all very personally and see everyone not in lock step with you as disagreeing with your overall point.

  12. yeah the Argos are reminding me of the Vikings last year in the NFL - won a lot of games by pure dumb luck and then melted in their first playoff game when the going got rough. I'm glad we won (and I won't discount the fact that when they put their 3rd stringer QB in they basically were saying "please win, here it is on a platter") but man it shouldn't have been that close.

My observation from last night is to not bother trying to run around Argo defenders, just run at them. They were so soft and crumbled at first touch. I'm not sure how many yards we had after initial contact but it seemed really, really high. Brady would get the ball and just run through them. Athletic, sure, and well coached but soft like Ontarians in the face of snow.

  14. Not likely. They're 1 and done in the playoffs.

  15. I agree....but Collaros has shown to be less then perfect in the cold.

  16. Maybe in a logical sense...but ending up in 2nd place comes with a traumatic ending to this season. This team has been quite fragile of late and having to win 3 games in a row vs anyone doesn't seem like a reasonable expectation.

  17. I'll take our oline...RB and receivers in a cold weather game over any group in league

  18. Spotting the other team 14 points seems to be his strategy lately

  19. If he ever felt a grudge, it wasn’t against the fans. I watched him over the course of the game and saw him waving to the indigenous group in the end zone as well as others.

  20. Not sure why people cling to the "old" part of this....if u break it down of average age it's a spread of like point something of a yr...hardly an issue Today's athlete is different that early 2000 athlete and beyond It's more an issue on defence of lack of overall depth.....offence is an issue of ZC at times trying to take too big a chunk too often...and go away from the run...if you break down most games that's where/how we stall...but people cling to the oline is old and weak theory which isn't the case....if protections are set for a primary quick hitter or shorter pass where ball should be out in 1 to 1.8 seconds and the QB goes off script...well then it's gonna break down The Jeff's are not too old...but they need true legit rotation to be effective...like 2..3 yrs ago...look at some dominant defensive line guys former and present...and how effective they were into the 34..35 yr range...but we missed the ball with not already working guys into succession or at least complimentary roles at DL and LB...

  21. Definitely agree the best scenario is hosting the WF on a cold day that nullifies BC’s passing game. The run game is by far the offense’s biggest strength. Forget cute and just grind the opposition into paste.

  22. Not a great consolation prize. It would be better for the Bombers to finish first.

Collaros has not been consistently good this year. Zero doubt now that Brady O is the unquestioned MOP for the Bombers.

  24. Yep. Lions are less suited for cold weather games than the Bombers. And a passionate IG Field fan base is a huge difference.

  26. Yeah same...seen Def 4 times...Crue 7....all the way back to the heydays of concerts in the mid late 80's....back when rock bands and arena concerts were the best and real...not the crap we see today. My first concert ever was an Iron Maiden show...when I was 13

  27. 1st or bust, with how old our core is, the bye helps and as others have said, Brady would run rampant if we host the Western Final. The only upside to finishing second would be demolishing Riders in the semi-final lol.

  28. Yep pretty much. Nothing for me will ever match ride the lightning, and justice for all, and master of puppets. But I don’t blame a band for going in a new direction. The music video for One is high art imop. From the brilliant lyrics to the nuance like using blast beat to imitate gun fire, to how they fit it to scenes from the movie Johnny got his gun. One of the very peaks of art in metal. the offspring would also be an epic rock get for a half time show.

  30. Yup. MVP. Can run, can catch, can block, helps set the tone for his teammates on and off the field.

  31. Ac DC or The Stones would be way bigger than Crue. Crue are kind of at the same level as Def Lep. Old 80s act hanging on, but not the legend status. Right now Foo are the biggest band in the world, but I'd say ACDC and Stones aren't too far behind. Also Springsteen and McCartney would be really big still in terms of popularity.

  36. The Argos had horseshoes up their ass all game. Luck played a huge role in how well the Argos defense played. They broke up pass plays at the exact right moment or that fumble by Dukes recovered by a teammate in the final minute of the firat half leading to an Argos field goal. I doubt they can make those kinds of plays next time they play. In the Grey Cup.

Sure u didn't.... It means he doesn't know why he supports Jackson being in in a nutshell Especially when we have a Canadian fullback we drafted...who played the position in college..in Canada....pretty sure he knows how to block...even run the ball and catch it too if need be..which also goes back to an earlier post that anyone can do the role....we all love Miller...say he is great....well he was a linebacker in college and when he first came into league but through necessity switched to a full back and St role as he had no future as a LB..

This is my opinion also. The win did not prove much other than what TBurgress indicated. Next week will be where the rubber meets the road. If we win I think we are well along our way to another cup appearance. If not then we probably will host the WSF and probably play the Riders.

  40. I don't think it's intentional so much as Hall is just pretty good at adjusting to what's going on usually. Like after the first few series they really did give up less to the argos.

  41. I suspect that's the mantra this team is clinging to - just hope they can crank it up at the right time.

  42. He really wasn't that good of a QB imo.

  43. Exactly. Shitgot real when we took the lead in the 4th Qtr. I don’t know how any opponent can deal with that.

  44. We definitely have not schemed like before...or have used our guys like before...or to their best use....why I don't know...much like on ST...why change just for sake of changing...we are 15 games in and coverage still sucks...last game if not for a hell of a play by Cole...mind u there was a penalty Leakes was taking one to the house on us Exactly this....change for the sake of change but not really needed....and that's a big why question

  45. Maybe the biggest upset was 1989 when the first place 16-2 Edmonton Eskimos hosted the third place 9-9 Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Western Final. The Riders defeated the Esks 32-21.

  48. More like, will Crum survive? Drew Desjarlais is constantly doing his best Sukh Chungh imitation as the highest paid OL in the CFL. Amazing how some of these self percived "superstars" aren't as good as they thought they were because they play on inferior lines. The guy next to them just doesn't get the job done & they don't raise others on that line to play better. The grass is always greener... So is the money, I guess. Enjoy last place.
