  1. One game to go for the L's and Dillon Mitchell is a mere 1475 yards from his 2k goal. Call me a pessimist if you will but I just don't think he's gonna get there.

  3. Tait says on Patterson's pod that tomorrow will be the 4th straight sellout. Unreal times at IGF. Here's hoping we can make it 5 in a row in November...

  4. Move the goalposts again lol you told me I couldn’t name one guy in ten years and I named eight in two seasons on two teams without even really thinking about it for more than five minutes and now you’re going to claim that’s the extent of the list so you can throw out some bullshit percentages? This is the stuff I’m talking about, you’re just so blind to the reality of the situation because you’re dead set on defending our team at all costs.

  5. And if we were actually managing things properly, you wouldn’t have to jump through so many hoops to try and explain what the team is doing. Our practice roster has been mismanaged all year. Same as last year. Maybe if we didn’t waste spots on guys who were never going to make the roster, we could’ve brought in guys who actually had a shot at contributing and let them spend the year here getting up to speed on things. Maybe we could actually try developing a guy, giving him time to practice with the team so that if the opportunity presented itself, they’d be ready. I understand there’s this desire to defend every aspect of our team, but our overall approach to team building this year has been very poor. It’s one of two things, and there’s no amount of you defending the team or Noeller screaming about how we don’t know everything happening behind the scenes that can make it any different - either our scouts suddenly for the first team in their tenure here did a terrible job this year or our coach and our scouts aren’t exactly seeing eye to eye

  8. They had a list of potential OCs last year too. Got turned down by every one of them.

  9. Yes and no. There hasn't been a lot of diversity in his usage. There's no real "double teams" in coverage. It's more trying to get a 4 on 3 or even 5 on 3 in a given route for a defense. When you almost exclusively run one guy vertical from the slot he's not going to get a lot of space for himself. When they've gone to more of a quick look and forcing the D to defend vertical and wide, there's been space for everyone including Lawler.

  10. False, he was never cut. He was a free agent at the end of the 2017 season. The delay in coming back before the next season was due to him "exhausting all NFL opportunities". 😂

  11. Before Lawler returned McCrae had already beaten out Agudosi for his spot. Yes, McCrae is not a typical receiver but we found ways to make him a productive part of our starting offence earlier this season and I see no reason why we can't do the same now. Before Lawler arrived this was basically our receiving corps swap Schoen for Lawler. We do have a guy who actually a traditional receiver on the PR in Ravi Alston, and in the meantime we had McCrae who is a guy we have started numerous times and has been quite productive for us at receiver, not to mention BOLO who deserves way more playing time than he has received. I fail to see the issue. Like I stated earlier, we have 10 guys max on the PR and a guy like BOLO here. There was no urgency to keep Agudosi, or to bring in someone game ready to the PR. We had a receiver recruit that was ready to come here that we must have really liked and was willing to come now, and we made room for him on the PR. That is what the PR is for. I would rather we move guys out of the PR and look at others once we know there upside won't be enough. Agudosi was 30 years old and wasn't ever going to crack our starting lineup. This new kid Alston....who knows? The injury to Schoen just happens to coincide with him not being here long enough to take the field but who knows...maybe we elevate this kid in a week or two if Schoen is long term.

  12. It’s possible that the boot is overkill… Precautionary, to keep the ankle stable and lessen the chance of a tweak or some kind of a setback. Maybe I’m grasping at straws, but it’s possible.

  13. I like McCrae if they use him right. With the way defenses are adjusting to Oliviera he can gash them, also with both guys and Demski on the field lots of jet options and ways to widen our D for Brady. You really have a chance to do a thunder/lightning kind of run game when you’re going to need it with the ball being damp along with footing getting more suspect in November. Lawler is really who needs to step up and he’ll get a lot more work in the slot. D still can’t bracket him because we’ll have 6 guys on the field they’ll have to worry about. Only big weakness now is we go down to 2 guys really effective on the vertical routes from 3. Need to run more quick stuff for Bailey and Wolitarsky to open it up.

  16. Also, I only want guys who legitimately think they can get to 2k on the team.

  17. This right here tells me it’s no wonder your perception of our practice roster is so warped … if you can’t name a single player, no wonder you think the way we use our practice roster is fine. I’ll just use BC and Toronto over the past few years as examples, because those are the only teams I really worry about. Jalon Edwards-Cooper, Manny Rugamba, Alex Hollins, Keon Hatcher, Brandon Barlow, Damonte Coxie, Dewayne Hendrix, Jonathan Jones … off the top of my head in the past two years

  21. In my ideal scenario; BC wins making our game mean something, so we play to win. But the game is an absolute beat down on the Elks, so the outcome is never in doubt.

  26. Totally possible. Protection from any possible damage. I had a grade 3 sprain 3 weeks ago and couldn't put any weight on my foot, i was carried off the field. I'm very close to running again and thats with no boot/extra precautions taken. Still had to work after all. But if it's an ankle sprain, the fact he was walking on it during the BC game and afterwards should be a positive sign.

  29. It requires different usage for sure and he adds a little redundancy with Demski for sure. However, the way we utlilized him and Demski vs. Calgary earlier this year with both guys in motion in the backfield was giving Calgary fits that game. Bottom line we could expect Adugosi to provide about 50 yds a game of production realistically and there is no reason to not expect the same from McCrae. Yea....I agree. McCrae forces us into a kind of a different look but it's not something we haven't done before with success. Schoen being out now is not a whole lot different than when Lawler missed the first 6 games. We will just have to adapt to it.

5 years ago I was where you are now, I currently wear an Apple Watch from when I get up until I go to bed with few exceptions. Yes, I use it to monitor daily activity and it’s a pretty good “coach” to make sure you close your rings everyday, especially as I head in to my mid 50’s I need to be ever vigilant about my health. I also appreciate not needing to always pull my phone out and see who is calling, looking at my wrist to see “likely fraud” and reject the call is very easy (though, now that the election is over these calls are less frequent. More than anything for me it’s almost more a remote control for my phone than anything else.

  33. Yes, have arrived in Bali...having left Lombok (ok, part of Lombok) in a state of excitment...about our Blue Bombers Grey Cup drive, down the stretch..... In the spirit of international good will....a language exchange has been formed. This exchange enables me to add interesting new phrases to my knowledge of Bahasa Indonesian. In return, the local population has acquired a better knowledge of the CFL...as well as some useful phrases such as: "Fake Argos" "BC sucks" "Riders no good" "Bombers rule!" "Elks roadkill" I may be far away in body....but not in spirit. The Blue Bomber organization must realize that I am still watching..... Go Blue!!

  38. Just a perfect scenario for some sucker to spend $7-8 BILLION Canadian just to get an NFL expansion franchise & build a new 75000 seat stadium. As well as offices, workout & training facilities for Toronto. Oh, then pay all the players in US funds.... And the NFL doesn't want MLSE to own the team. They only allow individual owners. Good luck, Toronto NFL freaks. can you imagine ticket prices in canadian funds. It would be unaffordable for the average fan. I'd bet a lot of Bills fans in Southern Ontario would just keep their season tickets & continue to go to games in Buffalo.

  39. that was a bit different because the coordinators knew that the coach and GM didn't have contracts, so they didn't want to get into that situation. Potential HC/GMs will be given extended contracts so at least there's some stability. They'll, in theory, be able to hire some better people this time around. Just a matter of whether or not they do it right or **** it up again.... here's hoping for a colossal **** up!

  43. Yeah, given what Lawler has done in the past and is doing this year, his goal of 2k was not completely unrealistic (high bar for sure though). Mitchell, on the other hand, had not and is not doing anything to justify that target, Lawler has played 7 games less than Mitchell and is a couple hundred yards ahead of him (Lawler is averaging about 75 yards a game while Mitchell is around 31).

  44. I really do not see Calgary winning in BC - but stranger things have happened. I would believe that a BC win will happen and the Bombers need to put the pedal to the metal on Saturday and win. I would not like to have to go into Calgary the following week needing the win to secure home field advantage and a bye into the Western Final. Calgary will be playing all out to secure a play off spot given that the Riders should lose to the Argos this week.

  48. Depends what the injury is. The fact it was weight bearing afterwards is encouraging. A severe high ankle sprain, achilles, or torn ligaments and he would have had to be helped off the field. No way he is standing around on the sidelines after any of those. My guess is a bad lower ankle sprain and his timeline for that is all over the map, but 4 weeks has been done many times.
