  1. Hopefully Walters is a little ruthless this off season in terms of who is brought back.

  2. I think out of the guys mentioned by Hamilton, Kolo+Thomas need to be moved on from.

  3. I like this signing. He was a little exuberant at times (a couple of ill-advised penalties) but he has a motor and a nose for the ball.

  4. I thought he retired before the 2021 Grey Cup? Who knew.

  5. Wow, what a total POS. As if we needed more reasons to dislike Hartman.

  6. I'd rather our depth guys be players needing experience and with a higher upside then keeping guys who are old and very average on the decline.

  7. double yikes!!!....Sure let them come and battle...tho thats just wasted TC roster spots....but if he....and not sure who else was referred to...but say a Briggs..thats an epic fail...with recruitment...and most of all HC decision making...No way a guy like that..Briggs...Jackson....Schmeckle...Bennet....Kolo...should even make the team let alone active roster....Bennett I know was a last yr draft pick...same with Schmeckle but showed zipittydodah...and also aren't the future...There are also others who are on the list of if they make game day roster...its a fail...big time

  8. some interesting stuff here with Jeff Hamilton on Paterson's podcast... apparently Jake Thomas (among others) do want to come back for 2024...........

  9. I still remember Jim barker trying to calm him down on the sidelines of the 2019 Grey Cup as he totally melted down. Nothing Barker could say or do calmed him down. That was damned epic.

  10. If the Argos and to a lesser extent BC have ever had a salary cap, it’s news to me Honestly, the Jeffs broke his career in the 2019 GC. It’s just been a matter of time since then.

  11. Just goes to show how badly he was broken in the 2019 grey cup.

  12. What a f****** prick Hartman is. Of course, the idiot wild fans will defend him too. They have such a short memory what that ass hat did to Ehlers last year leading up to the playoffs. I doubt the DPOS Will do anything either.

  13. Other than Lawson who is a stud....the other 3 Canadian lineman mentioned, as well as Bennett have next to no upside, and really if we draft well, recruit well and maybe get a savvy free agent pick up or pull off a trade like how we got Lawson all 4 of them should be kicking stones after TC...And truthfully if we keep BO we don't even need a National Dline man other than a Backup to Lawson to meet the ratio if we choose to continue the Kramdi thing, and or a Canadian takes over at safety....or maybe a corner spot. Lawson had moved ahead of him in 2022...but was basically pushed behind Thomas for no other reason than discussed on here ad nausium...I wont say why as to not ruffle the feathers of a certain poster lol Cole should be at SAM....would thrive there...one our best sideline to sideline guys...can play physical, and run with RB's and slots....and can tackle....3 things our SAM position lacked

  14. As it stands they still need 2 Natl. DT's to rotate, Lawson has probably moved ahead of Thomas as the starter and has already re-signed, it's what happens behind him that is in question. Don't agree Kyrie Wilson should be replaced by Cole, as I see Wilson as the eventual replacement for Bighill. Cole is better as a swiss army knife used in certain situations, Clements has a better handle on the WIL job and is an important player to re-sign.

  15. I'd argue that Lawson has moved ahead of Thomas, Eli has moved ahead of Kolo and Cole deserves a shot ahead of Wilson but that MOS would likely stick with the vet in each case. We need to get younger since we;ve had the same core since 2019.

    Game 35: @ Minnesota

happy for the ladies to have a platform, and to have representation for all the young girls who grow up loving hockey and want a chance to pursue it as a career. Whether it's playing the game, broadcasting, management... whatever it might be, it's fantastic for girls to see they have opportunities in the game they love.

  20. Most likely situation with Evans is that his mental fragility has cost him his career as a player....No doubt you have to be physically tough to play this game but you also have to have the mental toughness to go along with it....Coaching can also have it's mental strain.....he better be up for it....good luck to him

  21. I wouldn't be surprised if his agent did some preliminary work to see what the market would be for Evans as a starter for some teams. He may have talked to them about his client potentially signing as the starter & the interest may not have been very high.

  22. Cole improved a lot as the season went on.

  23. lAbout this time last year, the Jets went into their tailspin before crashing in the playoffs. I'm assuming (hoping?) that the same thing won't happen again this year. That with Wheeler & Dubois gone, the cancer has been removed & we continue having a great season. With those guys gone, other leaders can now step up.

  24. Wow, seems like a drastic course of action at age 30, figured he would eventually catch on as a #1 QB somewhere if he was patient.

  25. He just couldn't handle the pressures of being a starter. He was happy being a backup to Vernon Adams. It's too bad as he had some talent but I never saw the Eye of the Tiger with him. I guess not everyone can be like Matt Dunigan who loved the spotlight & still does.

  31. I don't know how you determine average, but if you plugged Harris into the Bomber offence I think he would be effective and win as many games as Zach does, it may look more like Nichols, but it could still work. He reads defences well and moves the ball quickly with accuracy, it's up to management to put the right pieces in place to complement his skill set and protect him. If he'd stayed in Mtl. this past season, it could well have been him raising the Cup instead of Fajardo, who is also probably considered an "average" QB.

  32. He has mental health issues that are just too big a red flag for teams.
