  1. Looks like the Elks have their new punter. Good luck KGJ in Edmonton.

  3. O'Day to Mace: Just focus on recruiting your best defensive players from Toronto. Don't worry about the O-Line, I've got it covered, it's my area of expertise after all! Trevor Harris: WTF?

  4. woulda loved to have had Ceresna, but I'm sure as **** not giving up Demski to get him....

  6. I wouldn't say ingrate- but really tone deaf. I am going to chalk it up to his youth and his agent getting into his head.

  7. Ceresna is a damned find defensive lineman... but geeze not sure I give up a good young Canadian player for him....

  9. Dude on RF suggested CJ went out and got MBTs favourite receiver- makes sense since they had great chemistry when they played together. And CJ is usually always able to find a stud d lineman. Hendrix! C'MON DOWN TO WINNIPEG!

  10. Shocked Chris Jones makes that move.

  11. That was always the case though... what do the other signings around the league have to do with this? I mean a guy like Purifoy resigning in Edmonton has no bearing on Schoen or Brady's situation. I haven't seen too many signings (if any) that I'd been wishing the player had made it to FA.

  12. And the circus returns to Edmonton. 🤡

  13. Trevor Harris may have taken a haircut in Sask, but it's nowhere near as big as the one Masoli just received from Ottawa. "The 35-year-old receives a $45,000 signing bonus in his reworked agreement totalling $133,800 in hard money. He can earn up to $90,000 more in playtime incentives, broken down to $5,000 per game for playing 51 percent or more of the team's offensive snaps. His maximum earning potential is $236,800." In 2023 Masoli was scheduled to earn. Hard money: $425,000 Maximum value: $433,000 The RB's are opening the door wide for Brown to step on in at $250k + playtime incentives. Masoli will make tasty trade bait mid-season if he comes back healthy and in shape.

Dallas getting slapped around once again in the playoffs, McCarthy is a **** coach, and Dak has troubles in big games

  15. Jets weren’t awful. The second period was but 1st and 3rd were good. That Philly goalie made multiple ridiculous saves. Props to him. Honestly I think most nights we win that game. Errson was that much of a difference and it was apparent tho that the jets need a break. 9 games in 15 nights. 8-1 in that stretch. I’ll take it.

  16. That’d be tight. Dl! That’ll fix the riders! Hahaha! I mean it was their weakness last year right lol.

  17. We just came through a season where our highest paid receiver was (by and large) not a factor in our 16-2 record. And he had a lingering hip injury. And his salary was comparable to the guy we got for him. Makes sense from our perspective. With Ceresna in, I suppose this means that either or both of Oakman or Hendrix won't be back. I wish KGJ a prosperous reunion with MBT.

  18. They might be in a bit of a holding pattern (at least publicly) but Walters has already stated that they might have move on to other guys so they are aware the clock is ticking. And it's not like they can't/wouldn't start talking to other guys in the mean time, even if no deal is finalized/announced yet.

  19. Thank god. If Dru Brown ever went there he would be dead to me.

  20. Jones is probably sitting by the phone now trying to decide if it's too early to call Duke. Won't want to seem to eager, but won't want to miss out on the opportunity to add Spitty McEyegouge. He's probably had to change his shorts twice already in anticipation.

  21. I don't understand why Brown would choose that situation over sitting behind Collaros.... I mean if you're gonna sit behind someone....?? Unless he just assumes Harris is gonna get hurt again...

  22. Gittens was/is no slouch and Jones finally did something right....For value , Elks win this one....Ceressna is an off and on player....looks good on a rush and then disappears....TO is definitely going to have to swing more deals, as their former D coach is going to scalp them...I wonder if we're having a good look at their roster and contemplating a move???

  23. Gittens isn't wolli though. He's a younger Demski with IMO a higher ceiling. Solid move by Jones.

  24. Dang, did not see that one coming. Toronto is going to have a good D again.

  25. It does not have any direct bearing, other than the fact that there was a post-Christmas lull and now things seem to be picking up again. Walters will need time to get other players under contract and/or figure put replacement plans and we still seem to be in a holding pattern. Probably can't let it go on too much longer. I understand the reasoning on wait on Schoen, but he may be the more difficult sign. I can't help but think he's going to have a few teams bidding higher than we can reasonably expect to compete with.

  26. If fa starts and one or both aren’t under contract it sounds like walters will pursue replacements with those dollars rather than wait and hope they return. I’d wait on schoen and not on Brady.

  27. Wonder if Jones will toss dirty Duke Williams a lifeline.

  28. Would you want to play for an OC Mueller who got demoted last year and behind that oline? Calgary, Hamilton or Ottawa are all better options imo.

I've said this for a long time as long as Jerry Jones thinks he is the smartest person in the room and he does the Cowboys will never win anything ever again. He is not the great football mind he thinks he is.

  36. I can't figure out why you're arguing against the idea that being a football player is a year-round job for these guys....? I would have thought that you'd agree with that ..

  37. If we sign a promising rookie this year, they'll be under contract until Zach leaves. Brown is just unfortunate timing.

  38. eh the point streak and the winning streak had to end eventually but at least Helle's less than 3 streak is still ongoing

  39. Ok, now I think people are going too hard in the other direction here. Last year Brady was absolute crap for the first half of the season and clearly made changes to be the incredible back he was for the last half of 2022 and all of 2023. It is not all the OL and not every back will have close to his success. Augustine had a high average at the end of blow out games. It's not an equal comparison.
