  2. Let's not forget that Collaros and Sir Strevolution can be on the field at the same time.

  3. 120k plus play incentives what a freaking steal

  4. Offensively you have added a lot more work for the opposition d coordinators during the week. They now have to plan for those 10-15 plays where Strevelers is going to come in.

  6. Ecstatic at getting Strev back! $120K is a steal of a price. Good job Walters.

  10. More Bombers news: we signed both Halletts … Nick was a pending FA and I think Noah finished the year on the PR?

  11. Some of you need to realize that they are not giving Brady a blank cheque no matter what the SMS situation is.

  12. ZC has taken a beating the last yr and for a good part of 2022....from being unscathed basically all his other time here...who was center when all that started?....a lot of issues from an O-line start from inside out, but may appear others are losing in their assignments....some here know what I talking about, and what is the common denominator in the poundings....

  13. Biggest difference is that gray has value in being able to play multiple roles on the ol. Kola is centre or bust and only had the job because of osheas views on roster building. Eli was is and will be the better player.

  14. knew this was a forgone conclusion...as I said expect it in Jan..well they waited to last day. Very economical price tag, and love the 1 yr deal as well, so as to revisit in the next off-seasn. People will be surprised at how different he is as a passer now, and being out from under Lapo here who stagnated him will be huge, and I know we are gonna see a lot of 2 QB packages this summer...good luck with that opposing defences. Schoen will be next, and best of the rest I bet will gauge what market has to offer now...tho I think we could see a Hardrick 1 yr deal sooner than later I think this as well puts the nail in the BO coffin unless he realizes that no market is being set, and fair value is his best interests....if not i think we pull a shocker and lock down Oullette...will gave same as BO for less, and has a bit more explosiveness to him as well

  15. Of the two "big" guys that are left for us to potentially re-sign (and I *do* hope we somehow manage both), Schoen for me is the priority. This is a passing league and Schoen is a proven commodity who has demonstrated amazing chemistry with our quarterback. Don't get me wrong, I love the ability to grind down opponents and salt away a game with a dominating rushing attack but running back isn't an area where I'd choose to prioritize spending.

  16. I swear you have the wildest takes, Colin. What are you going on about? Our backup QB who hasn’t proven he can be a starter carries more value than either the best RB or WR in the league?

  20. Well, I guess we'll see. But the truth is, many of us are skeptical because we've seen this movie before It happened with Dave Ritchie and it happened with Doug Berry (after the 2007 season) Then the chickens came home to roost and the team was just not that good

  21. The big kick in the nuts with the Kolankowski contract is simple. It's no secret they're trying desperately to find the money to keep Olivera around (else he'd be signed right now) and Kolankowski was probably the most obvious "vet" to let walk with an internal replacement. From an on-paper fan POV, it's as easy as subtracting Kolankowski and one of Neufel/Gray and replacing them with Eli and Dobson, then rostering a new young guy as the 6/7 and saving a bit of cash. Pretty much any other veteran FA we have, there aren't nearly as many internal options to replace them, if any at all. That's the main driver of the Kola contract hate. It has little to do with whether he's an average starter or whether he's being paid like a middle of the pack OL or a bottom end starter. Plus there's also the last 2 seasons of doing the same thing and seeing the same results (losing in the grey cup) and an obvious place to try something new was the interior of the OL, which showed more cracks last season than it has in any of the previous 5.

  22. 140k for a starting OL or even a 6th lineman is absolutely nothing

  24. Streveler more or less slots into Prukops place on the salary chart. Rookie 3rd QB.

  26. Would you rather be juked by a qb or trucked by a qb? Defenders now have that choice to make.

  33. You'd have to think a guy like Richmond is going to figure in somehow as well. He's a guy they've kept around the last couple of years and I wouldn't be shocked to see them move him to the right side in pre-season to see how he fairs.

  34. Huge news. Now do Schoen. I fully expect Brady to not be back. U could put Zach and strevs on the field at the same time. Strev is huge but Schoen is the number 1 priority still

  35. The Fort Hew thing goes back all the way to when they started using the For The W marketing slogan. Someone recognized early on that when used as a hashtag, it runs together as Fort Hew, which made sense as a great nickname for the stadium. Then there was the Moose prior to that Banjo Bowl game, whatever year that was, that got loose near the stadium and held up traffic, and he became Hewie The Moose. It just goes back SO FAR..... and I (along with most of the diehards/regulars) have been using it ever since. At least 6 or 7 years now.

  36. This probably softens the blow of losing a few guys next week.

  37. This is the biggest signing to me. Brady and Schoen more replaceable than Streveler. This will extend Collaros career IMO.

  38. The difference in production is volume, which is not meaningless as a rb. But Brady has taken a lot of hits and a few injuries. Probably pretty much right though but any thing is possible. Lffffggggggg it would be hilarious if it was just to sign autographs again. Or they found the fur coat haha.

We were having a conversation back before US Thanksgiving and started talking Turkey Drop and she had no idea what we were talking about. Had to bring up the clip on Youtube and share it. Oh the youth, the lack of education is shocking!!!
