  1. Ed Tait just posted that Kyle Walters has confirmed Tyrell Ford is back this year

  2. Gonna be weird seeing Rasheed somewhere else.

  3. Ford back allows us some options now....I could see him slotted at Boundary corner or SAM...plus is a back-up returner option too if our game day guy gets dinged...solid piece to the puzzle

  5. Got some scrub, not sure if knows anything about ST but I'm sure he'll learn. I think his name is Mike Miller or something.

  6. More like ran it back for two years then ran it and fumbled on the 1 for the other two. The better team prevailed on those days but it still pisses me off that we weren't able to close out those other two Cups.

  7. Genuinely feel like Dobson should’ve taken his job last year.

  8. Gray with all his hype has never lived up to it IMO. He was one of the most overrated players on our team. Don't get me wrong, I'd take him back on a heart beat. But I'm not convinced he's some MOOL in waiting or that he would have succeeded as a T. He has all the talent in the world, or so we're told ...but he can't seem to put it all together.

  9. Sounds like RT, WR, DT, DE and CB are all going to be camp battles as of right now RT I am especially not worried about, Neufeld has turned into a real stabilizer on that side of the line and I have a good amount of trust in our scouting to find a tackle who fits our scheme. They’ve shown to be very competent at it, we’ve supplied a decent amount of OL to the rest of the league AND they pro scouted Hardrick when he was still a pylon in Regina. Not a ton of concern there.

  10. Brutal. Quite possibly the most under appreciated/celebrated Canadian RB to ever play. When he was done playing he was 2nd only to Normie Kwong for rushing yards by a Canadian. Also the only human in history to play in the Grey Cup game and Stanley Cup finals during the same season. Amazing feat. Another legend gone. RIP.

  12. The Bombers had a jersey release event for their 50s jerseys and Kenny was on hand. I told him I was disappointed as I wanted him to sign a jersey for me but they didnt have my size made up that day. He said no problem, when I got the jersey I could look him up in the phone book and go to his house to get it signed. How many guys would make that offer?

  13. God that guy just seemed like he'd be eternal. At least his legacy will be.

  14. We will always have his epic special teams tackle in the 2019 grey cup.

  19. For a Mike Oshea coached team it was embarrassing. And when Grant was out we had of hope of even keeping the field position game close via specials.

  24. Don’t forget, we have three picks in the top 20 of the draft and unlike last year, it’s a pretty good year for OL. Couple other things working for us: we’ll have the flexibility to go three Americans on the OL if we absolutely need to AND a number of the free agents on the OL call Manitoba their home so maybe they won’t be too far away if there’s an absolute emergency. Sean Jamieson would be a guy I absolutely wouldn’t mind seeing us bring in … can’t imagine he’d cost much and if the medical comes back clean, he might be a good option. Tough couple years due to injury but timing could be right to catch him as he’s finally fully healed up and if you’re not asking anymore than spot duty out of him then I don’t think he’d be a bad option.

  25. I think Gray is one I would have kept. Draft isn't really there this year. We don't have much depth there at all and will be changing 2 spots for sure. Any injuries could quickly be a disaster. We have two starters in mid to late 30s, another early 30s as well so injury risk is there. We will need bodies.

  26. It was needed. Keeping basically the same group together for 5 years (missed covid year included) is unheard of. Good year to reset some positions and at very least build towards 2025.

  27. So we still don't have a legit RT??? I had hoped Gray could possibly fill that role.....And gonna suck not having Sheed.

  28. I was thinking more along the lines of a rotation where Kramdi would take the majority of the blitzing / line of scrimmage stuff and Ford could see the coverage calls from the SAM spot I think Kramdi is a pretty good disruptor at the line and in the second level. He whiffed a few, but he made good reads to get to the right spot to stop the run more often than I saw him not … I like both guys at that spot for very different reasons. Also not opposed to Ford at the field side corner but we’re already pencilling in 8 Canadians so how many more do we really need

  29. Speaking of his own team’s forum posters being embarrassed, going at Bluto like this for suggesting you debate the guy instead of just screaming bloody murder because he’s making a very debatable argument is quite embarrassing. Literally no reason to take shots at Bluto. He’s right.

  30. Football legend and a great human being. Thanks for being a Bomber. RIP Mr. Ploen. Couple of GOAT's going over plays in the afterlife now.

  31. i cut my teeth on leo lewis and kenny ploen: inside the 10 yard line, lateral to lewis, lateral back to ploen, then a pass often to lewis, or ploen just walks into the endzone over and over, game after game now thats football

  32. What more can you ask of a Legend? Came. Won, Stayed. Truly someone our club, our city, could be proud of. Humble and kind. Kenny had it all. I didn't get to see him play, except in replays, but he was always so friendly to me. RIP, Mr Ploen.

  33. He had Alzheimer’s or dementia. He couldn’t remember yesterday but he could tell you the plays they ran in the grey cup games my grandma had that also and it got tough after a while. Really odd seeing your older grandma acting like a teenager. Hopefully Kenny is back to being himself now. Hopefully he’s up there throwing TDs.

  36. Jesus christ, how many more of your posts are you going to edit ten times to add to your rant? Maybe try thinking before you type so I don’t have to refresh my screen over and over waiting for you to get all your thoughts out. We all take shots at each other, we all debate with varying levels of intensity from time to time, we all bash the trolls (like Wheeler, who has been banned) but there’s literally no need to take a shot at Bluto, who is a respected member of this community even though he has a condition that forces him to cheer for the wrong football team. Don’t like it? Oh well. my god you edited it again I can’t even keep up anymore can you just PM me when you’re done crying so I can reply to it all at once

  37. When I was 8, Ken Ploen sat in front of me and my Dad at a game. I had a huge Pepsi with a bad lid, and I spilled it down the bench and all over Ken and his wife. I apologized and he smiled and said “don’t worry about it” but they went to clean up and never came back.. Dad was mortified. Sorry about that again Mr. Ploen. Rest easy.

  38. Flag on the play. Making an argument, even if you think that its reasoning has more holes in it than the red, lacey delicates that women will be wearing this evening the world over, isn't the same as trolling. Make your counter arguments. Bookmark it for a satisfying toldyaso in August. Also, if that is Migs and he's changed his screen name, so what?

  43. This one hurts. KP came to the Bombers and the franchise only improved. As an American he chose to make his after football life at home in Winnipeg. He was a gentleman each and every time we met. No one had a bad word to say about him. There has never been a number 11 for the Blue since his playing days. Bless you Kenny.

  44. Ken Ploen was the Bomber QB when I started watching the CFL and continue watching now. He was a great 2 way player and exciting to watch. I met him once in the stands at BC Place when he was sitting before the game and was in town to do some game broadcasting. Still have his autograph on that program cover. RIP. Condolences to his family, friends and CFL fans.
