  2. Also the entire point of the suspension is that he's not suitable to be in the workplace until he receives counselling and shows improvement.

  4. In case anyone missed it, Osh was asked about the Argos/Kelly situation yesterday: WEIGHING IN: O’Shea was asked after practice Wednesday about the nine-game suspension levied against Toronto Argonauts QB Chad Kelly. He said he would not comment on the length of suspension because ‘that’s not in my wheelhouse.’ “But I do feel very strongly that the women that work in our league deserve a safe workplace and deserve to be respected — everybody deserves to be respected and have a safe workplace,” he said. “The women in our league, and there’s a lot of them, really deserve to feel safe coming to work every day. That kind of question should be posed to the women in our organization to see if they do feel safe and respected in this workplace — I believe they do, but far be it for me to answer that. They certainly deserve our support and I know organizationally we make good decisions.”

  8. I just can't see them getting full value on Hardrick's contract at this point of his career even if he will bring huge locker room upside. How in god's green earth is Logan Ferland worth 194k? That one blew me away. That guy is a pylon...actually that is an insult to pylons.

    2024 CFL Pre Season

TSN has done as little as possible to develop the market. They've been the SOLE CFL broadcaster for more than 20 years.

  12. Comparing Mike Miller to Wayne Greztky and Micheal Jordan is a little over the top. After being undrafted, they did not have to scrap their way to make a professional roster. Miller is the perfect candidate to coach.

    2024 CFL Pre Season

Canada is a small market. It sucks but itnis what it is. Easier and cheaper to buy a feed for some out of country bullshit and show that than produce your own **** Canadian companies are awful at this. Just want to suck money from people and not spend anything

  14. It's time to start asking questions of MLSE. Like, why do Murphy and Pinball still have jobs? I expect little from Ambrosie. He's been such a useless commish. It's like he believes it's an honorary title or something.

  15. The fallout from this isn't over. Pinball, the Argos and the CFL are getting absolutely dunked on Twitter right now. This might end with more people losing their jobs.

  16. Just a way to free up a few more TC spots, a number of teams are using this tactic.

  18. I think Mike Miller will be an excellent ST's coach, sometimes when you the best at your position it doesn't translate into the coaching ranks, this will not be the case with Miller

  20. Only the Argos can say a suspension is not really a suspension. The blow back on this is going to be monumental. And according to Clemons, the CFL & Big Leader Commissioner Randy Ambrosie says it's okay??? What garbage.

  21. What a big F U to the rest of the league & the safety of women in the workplace by the Argos.

  22. I see validity in both your points. Thinking back to what it was to be a bomber fan in the past two dark ages this would be crushing. Even with that I and many others defended Harris during his ped positive test not long ago. (His claim was very valid but we never did hear about his independent testing of the allegedly tainted supplement) with that said, the whole victim blaming culture is such a big toxic issue in society right now, the regressive attitudes are much worse on this. Not to mention the victim suffered directly, Harris either way didn’t victimize people. Some of the defences and devils advocate positions has come off really gross with Kelly. Guilt or not, just some real ick factor stuff. I hope all this in the end helps some of those people to see the importance of protecting alleged victims and treating them appropriately. Some times good people get wrapped up on the wrong side of disputes. It’s certainly happened to me in the past. I still think bluto is good people and a good poster.

  23. I compared the training camp roster handout vs the roster on the Bombers' website and 4 players are missing on the handout. There is no mention anywhere they are no longer on the team: WR 72 Braxton Burmeister DT 92 Kenneth Randall DB 13 James Campbell DB 46 Montrae Braswell (there is a 13 on defence but its Bill Hackett) Also did anyone know that Winnipeg Rifles runningback Kaiden Banfield is participating in camp? He's number 30.

  24. Anyone else feel that the player that refused to answer questions during the investigation should face repercussions as well? I'm of the mind, if you aren't working to solve the problem, you are part of the problem. Hopefully he gets subpoenaed for the court case and tells the truth. F$%K the "Double Blue" line...

  25. Looks like someone leaked the executive summary that was provided to the Argos/CFL. Surprised the by-line here is Naylor and not Westhead tbh https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/dave-naylor-independent-investigation-corroborates-three-of-six-allegations-against-chad-kelly-1.2118960

  26. Yeeep. Bryant is the body type to aim for in terms of athletic ol longevity. The fact yoshi has been listing about the same weight and one inch shorter is hilarious. Bryant could well be under his listed weight but yoshi looks an easy 40lbs heavier side by side in game. A lot has been made (rightfully so) about milts commitment to his body and high level of physical preparation. Stanley Bryant has done the same at a much harder size and position.

  27. He's definately north of 340...and has gotten bigger the last few yrs in succesion, and his play and durability has shown from it Last yr when I was next to him....he dwarfed me in mass....I'm 245 pounds...and not a fat 245....at just over 6 feet tall....no way in hell he is only 80 pounds more than me...not buying that one bit when he half a foot taller to boot

  28. From recent interviews I think Yoshi is well aware he'll be in the spotlight for making the move to Sask. and the bump in salary he received, he seems very concerned about disappointing anyone. You can bet he's well prepared to put his best foot forward and will probably show up to camp in better shape than in years past.

  30. 3 of the top 15 lol, for maybe the worst ol. Just insane. In general a lot of the top list are over paid. A lot of guys getting paid on the fact they used to be good.

  31. I just don't understand why the Argos would want Kelly around, in a public setting anyways....talk about distraction. Whoever thought that was a good idea is just dumb. The media attention was already going to be going on and on about Kelly (rightfully so) and they just tee'd up some more juicy headlines. Just idiotic

  32. I know... There's a bit of a chicken and egg situation with this. You can definitely argue that there's not enough demand because TSN hasn't created demand. I'm not sure who's totally right but this just feels like one of those "it's too small of a league in too small of a country" type things. I'm not sure the money will ever be there to justify it no matter what. What you really need is some top level people in both Bell and the major advertiser types like Tim's, Canadian Tire, etc, to be big CFL fans and make it happen...

  33. It literally seems like he thinks the league works for him not he works for the league. Also in how he presents himself, I'd replace the word honorary with status.

  34. Thing is, it's only a matter of time before they would bring pinball back any way. But if he is the sacrificial goat, every one will turn on them. Not as much because of the public love of pinball, but because every one knows Murphy is the peak of the problem. Cut out every single person below him and you still have the makings of a toxic waste land. If the league acts before the argos, the punishment should be 10x stricter. Because it shows they aren't taking it seriously at all. They are just trying to skate by with the minimum.

  35. Definite fail. The Argo's also have a very loose definition of what participating means too. The video of him, running and throwing looks pretty participatory to me - allowing him to be at the facility is one thing but I don't think he should be on the field.

  36. Dunigan also had the misfortune of having an absolute wingnut of an owner.

  37. According to Naylor on X, the league did not agree to allow Kelly to attend yesterday. The CBA allows it, and this was 100% an Argo decision to let it happen. I don't know how to embed tweets but Naylor said that the league couldn't stop it without violating the CBA.

  38. Dunnigan....tho he had way too much to do as a first timer and a poor one...same with prob 6 other guys...some injured...some just having no business being rostered
    2 points
  39. Ok...well then that's no different from any other suspended player then. Can't practice, can't attend meetings but can attend the workplace. Really stupid of the Argos to allow it though.
    2 points
  40. Yeah, this can't continue. The Argos will bow to pressure & tell Kelly to stay away as he should. John Murphy should lose his job.

  41. Has years of the smiling Pinball face fooled people in believing that he has integrity? It's not like he's brand new at his job and without experience dealing with these kinds of situations.

  42. Bombers signed dlineman Jabari Ellis today. He tried out for the Giants in 2022 then played 2 games with Montreal. The Als cut him last summer.

  44. I think the fact that CK is in Toronto and will be at Training Camp in Pinball's words "because the league says he could" is a real bad look for the Argos. If he can't play for a minimum of 9 weeks, IF he does the assigned tasks and is approved by a third party he shouldn't be around the team until he has at least begun this work. I did not get the sense from Pinball that he gets it, mostly that he's trying to toe a very fine line with the league but really is trying to protect his guys. Maybe more than ever I think he and Murphy as a minimum need to go.

  45. I would argue in the current media market Canada has enough football fans for the CFL and TSN to do very well, problem is at least half of those football fans choose to follow the NFL and ignore the CFL, and the advertisers follow the numbers.

  47. I'm sure the lawyers weren't thrilled with Pinball's media scrum yesterday either. He was asked what he would do differently if he could and he said he would have asked a lot more questions earlier on when they were made aware. So, to me, that sounds like they knew but didn't take it seriously enough. They blew if off & now they have a lawsuit on their hands.
    1 point
  48. I have a hard time believing the lawyers would want this kind of attention put on a case that has already had a large amount of public condemnation. There was no good coming from Kelly being around the organization in a public manner.
