  1. Win Grey Cup both years. Those other options suck.

  2. Streveler? I remember him from the Cardinals and Jets. He'll probably get a spot on this team.

  3. Yeah I second that. O'Shea is the GOAT when he wins his 5th cup.

  7. Ontaria Wilson has got a lot of reps with first team O. That’s a pretty good indicator of who is getting the longest looks for better or worse.

  8. Looking forward to seeing how the linebackers do on Monday. Should give us some insight and something to talk about.

  9. Vince Magri, AGM and top talent bird dog for the Argos, is gone to a scouting job with the Bill's. Massive hit to the Argos front office. One of the league's top scouts. The blows just keep coming. Karma? Stiggers, Oakman among others and the really good past 3-4 CFL drafts that were the fruits of his recruiting.

  10. He hasn’t played in the CFL in 5 years now. I’m sure he’d like to get a few live reps before the season starts.

  11. As an elite athlete, that’s gotta be tough for him when his body isn’t responding the way he wants it to.

  16. Of note on Vann coming out of the SEC: Averaged 15.1 yards per punt return in 2022.

  17. From what O’Shea said about him during Rookie Camp it sounded like he was limited and it was a chronic lower-body issue. Not sure it’s something that will get better he’s just trying to squeeze out a couple more shots at making a team.

  19. Hope not...that doesn't allow us to field the best lineup if we do...and no reason to start 3 on defence...none..zip Same...odd...maybe he just wasn't fully into it.. I'm sure all the guys who are here would say same thing...I see us keeping a bigger guy instead...more conducive to what Bailey did

  20. Just a feeling based on the article they had on him, where he said he wants to follow the path Dalton took. Feels like a Mafia guy.

  21. Unfortunate. Was for sure the guy I was hoping would grab that spot.

  22. Option 1. I’ve seen them lose 6 grey cup games in my lifetime, a sure win means more to me than a berth.

  23. Gotta wonder how pumped Danny Mac is that he spends all off-season scouting talent only to have Jesse Briggs, Shayne Gauthier and Jake Thomas take the bulk of reps

  24. Argos have had good recruiting for years. They were among the first teams to start more Americans on their OL. Due to Canadians like O'Shea on D - IIRC

  25. Happens all the time. We brought 4 QB's in last year (Cooper Callis, Billy Hall, Josh Jones, Tyrrell Pigrome) who were all new to the league. Jones and Piggy only threw 17 passes between them over the 2 preseason games while the other two got released before those games even happened.

  28. Wilson has a great skill set...I'm not to surprised to be honest...personally I think you can't go wrong with either...that being said I wouldn't be surprised if the 4th isn't put on the PR....depending on what Strev shows this yr...and if ZC shows some more decline..or more poor playoff performing he could be the odd man out in 2025

  29. Strev. has nothing left to prove he should stay home as well, I hope Barriere and Wilson get the majority of the snaps divided equally, I suspect whichever they release will get picked up by another CFL team soon after. I hate when they make up their minds before pre-season games and don't even give QB's a shot in the dark. The poor QB behind Pigrome last year barely got on the field because Collaros and Brown took the majority of snaps.

  32. My theory is that now that Titus Wall is back from injury and they added Rodney Randle + Demerio, kept Tre Roberson etc that Griffin was the odd man out there. He might have seen the writing on the wall and asked for his release even

  33. When we stop reupping him...I can't see nobody else signing him to be a big contributor let alone starter...

  39. They'll prolly watch the NFL kickoffs this season to help determine if they want to go that route. These are the changes for the upcoming season: The league also announced it was ratifying other rule changes for 2024 directly relating to low blocks and decisions made by the command centre. Low blocks have been adjusted to further define the actions of a backfield player delivering a low block. Backfield players may block a defensive player low who is lined up across, from, or outside of the offensive tackle at the snap if the block occurs in the legal low block zone. The league also removed the requirement for the backfield player to be within the legal low block zone at the snap to make the call easier to officiate, while also heightening player safety by limiting who can be legally blocked low. No yards has now been added to the list of penalties that can automatically be picked up by the command centre if called incorrectly by on-field officials. Replay officials can only become involved when a clear mistake has been made. Tripping the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage has also been added to the list of penalties that the command centre can assist on and is now challengeable by a coach. Coaches are allowed to strategically use a timeout to provide the command centre with more time to automatically review a play that is not challengeable, though only one timeout can be used after the three-minute warning in the fourth quarter. Coaches still only have access to two timeouts per game. https://3downnation.com/2024/05/17/cfl-kickoff-rules-unchanged-in-2024-subcommittee-formed-to-examine-future-changes/

  40. I've got a shiny nickel for each of you who finally decides to shut the **** up about last years cup.

  41. yeah...Kramdi started last yr...but shouldnt have,,,,and shouldnt this yr either....we should be starting Woli...NO....Demski....3 olineman and Lawson as defacto designated starters on each side of ball....really anything after that should not happen unless a NI blows any import at his spot right out of the water...and Can't see that happening...That being said I would like to see an 8th on defence...Hopefu;;y it's Ford as he is our next best Canadian there and would not hburt us in the slightest at boundary corner or SAM and has most upside of any NI we currently have here....That way we can freely rotate in an extra DI which would greatly improve our front.....more than 8 is a waste and making us a weaker starting 24

  44. Osh 4 wins away from 100. Pretty impressive. Only grant has more and believe it’s 102 wins. Quietly O’Shea is becoming the goat of bomber coaches.

  45. I really hope we don't start 10 Canadians when only 7 are required.

  46. O'Shea general strategy is vets don't need to be injured to miss practice and vets don't need to be healthy enough to help the team to play. I think you're right its 10. I got a bit mixed up counting the fullback as the 11th. But that fullback won't be on the field that often.
