  1. Let Streveler get reps with the young receivers too and they'll probably develop some chemistry. Even in that game saw lots of evidence of that happening 15-20 mins in. You're not going to throw the ball 40 times with Streveler but if you can't build an offense around him, Oliviera, Augustine, Smith, Feltmate, 7 OL and whatever receivers we have you're a dumbass. So much for a D to have to think about there, just give them looks where they have to make a choice to free up some space for a runner or receiver. There's no use running empty backfields and even 3 by 2 etc type formations. Make everyone on the field have to look into backfield to try to diagnose what might happen. You get a couple guys stopping their feet and thinking and you have big plays or at least first downs. Smith is likely the most dangerous American we have on the roster. If he doesn't have a role on offense next week it will be extremely disappointing.

  2. strev basically had to work out rust and get re-acclimated to being a QB as he wasn't allowed to do any of it until he got put in...and as you saw...once he calmed down...realized he wasn't just trying or having to run guys over...he looked way different....and that was with 3 receivers who are so green....throw him out there with 4 guys who have exoerince....and you will see a big difference...especially with teams having to respect his running...use him in pocket...sprint outs...botlegs...etc....some legit option stuff....and then we cooking with fire....I'd give him the Ottawa start....

  3. Man once Strev got going and his feet weren't stuck in cement and he remembered how to be a cfl (and not NFL) QB he looked way more capable than Collaros. Suddenly receivers who are getting paid to catch the ball are given an opportunity to do so. The result sucks. The INT sucks. But there were some bright spots that game

  4. Man Hubert for a really late pick looks like a solid young piece.

  5. Yeah first couple of series was rough, but once he settled in I thought he played well.

  6. Kramdi is alright, the key though when using guys like that as a starter is to gain a benefit elsewhere on your roster... like say shoring up an obviously subpar OL... or going all import on your DL... starting those guys just because and then starting 2 or 3 more like that is just a waste.

  7. Huebert looks like he has potential, I mean to at least be a rotational piece. That's something positive.

  8. The biggest turd is Kolonkowski. He was blocking Coatney their 350 lb NG. Then for some inexplicable reason, he abandons his block & goes to help Bryant double team the DE leaving a clear path for Coatney to hurt Collaros. Like WTF is this guy doing playing???? Obviouly, he thought that Neufeld was going to slide over & pick up Coatney. He never waited to make sure this happened. He just said Bye & now our starting qb is injured. MOS loves him so he plays but he is the worst OL in the CFL. Meanwhile a promising young Center languishes on the bench in favour of this assclown. Our qbs are in mortal danger as long as this guy keeps playing. Tui Eli needs to start. It's not even a question anymore. It's a fact. Our season could hang in the balance with this turkey being allowed to start.

  9. Kramdi has been bad this year - liked his game last year but he’s far too hit and miss for me this season. Wilson looks like he’s playing in concrete cleats and Bighill looks like he’s playing with a blindfold on. Worst linebackers in the league without question.

  15. As much as I wanted to see a win, another loss maybe sounds the alarm that changes need to be made and that we’re not good enough. Time to make some roster changes, season isn’t over yet but enough of this country club bull **** already.

  16. Calgary receiver is blocking Ford out of the play. Where the **** is the flag on a downfield pass?

  17. How is that not OPI? Begelton tackled Holm or it's a pick.

  18. Yup, we have a lot of inexperienced guys in there, due to injuries, FA, or whatever. But really compounding things....... is the inept play of a number of veterans, on both sides of the ball. Becoming pretty clear who they are..... Add the lack of preparation, questionable roster decisions, and not enough in-game adjustments....and you get a surefire formula for........0-4

  19. Yeah I don't know what @Noelleris talking about here. We've endured much worse times for much longer I don't even think the season is lost yet

  26. They need to dress Alston next week. Total joke to be throwing those 50-50 balls at Demski. Wolitarsky or Alston. Guys with bodies who can get leverage with some height to be a target. Demski has his role and it's not catching contested balls at the top of his route.

  29. If lucky is going to be on the pr to start I’m good with it. Not an optimal move but it’s some thing. Until nfl cuts hit the wr market is thin unless you give up assets. Pr and see if he has any thing left. Maybe he was playing hurt last year. Don’t want to see him go right to the ar and eat up much money though. I agree with jbr too that weinke would be a far better fit for what we need. I wonder what it’d take to re acquire Bailey from Toronto. If it’s a mid pick and a throw in I’d be in favour of that. Even better if we can toss in a vet holding us back like kola. As for the talk of an offensive consultant to buck, keep Paul away. His shtick is already bucks shortfall, and we saw what he did to strevy in the past. Do not want. The guy would top that list while being available right now for me, is khari jones. I know he’s failed as a coach and oc by and large and is out of football for a reason. BUT, he could actually off set bucks weaknesses pretty well. 1) he ran some really good option offence in Montreal. Bucks option plays are junk. I don’t think he can coach it. Khari can. They also made good use of timing routes. 2) Khari has familiarity with the plop system, and the best screen/short game Paul ever coached was with Khari. 3) khari has been a hc, and could slide into a short term offensive qc role pushing buck but still getting along with him and the locker room well. 4) khari is close with wade and should be as cheap as we need. Other wise, I think the options are extremely limited.

  30. Maybe he found a Time Machine to go back to when his feet still worked…but Whitehead is just another guy in that 6’ and under mix. We need a couple guys with a catch radius who can work in traffic. Guy I was thinking of who is done is Darvin Adams…like that style of receiver. I would consider someone like Wieneke as a stop gap just to get someone who is somewhat useful on the field. Hopefully Alston can play and catch the ball.

  31. Just an aside for a moment. Why is Paul laPolice talents being wasted interviewing someone from women's soccer on the sidelines? Why isn't he either in the studio or the booth so he can give viewers the benefit of his football knowledge? TSN has Britt Dort & John Lu for western games. They want to be part of the CFL broadcasts then use them. There doesn't seem to be a lot of vision or direction from the TSN producers this season. The panel is different every game. LaPo on the sidelines. Different panelists come & go. Not impressed with TSN one bit this season.

  32. Our defense looked better today than it has all season but really benefitted from Jake Maier's overthrows of open receivers. A couple of those Stamps receivers were wide open. Really comservative play calling from Buck when throwng the ball. Brady made a difference but it's becoming obvious that he can't carry the offense all by himself. We have no vertical threat with Schoen, Lawler & Keric Wheatfeld out. We need to have an airlift of receivers coming in. Kolonkowski was manhandled by that 350 lb monster NG all night. Kolo couldn't handle him so naturally he played & Tui Eli stood on the sidelines. If you play Streveler in a gimmick offense all season then Buck shouldn't be surprised he has trouble throwing the ball. Still, we nearly won.
