  4. IIRC, Alexander was injured for a while that year - change was made after labour day & led to one of our best ever secondaries.

  5. Half a kramdi deal, 10k less than Augustine, what 15k more than the vet min? For a guy who would lead our none qbs in tds. Pretty good value imo.

  8. Should be s/sam. Parker was a brilliant Sam previously, Cole has played both as well. I’d put Cole at S and Parker at Sam. Realistically we stuck with worse dbs over Parker previously. Likely, griffin comes off as the dime if Parker comes back.

  9. Kramdi isn’t going anywhere barring injury. Same with BA… think Younger has to have the hard talk with O’shea for any chance of a change. It’s wild to think Holm for BA is full circle of BA in for Jeff Hecht circa 2019.

  10. Last night? It's a damn pattern now. Every game. I don't understand how he can watch himself and think, "ya I'm still our best option." Nevermind what others must be thinking

  17. The obvious answer seems to be S and SAM need replacing. So maybe Parker goes to SAM or maybe he moves to Holm's spot and Holm goes to S.....?
    2 points
  18. Which spot? You can't just say they'll put him somewhere else without specifying who they're going to remove from the lineup. They have so many good DB's to allocate logistically the kindest way to deal with BA is to wait until he's injured before making the transition to Holm at Safety, which would make room for Parker or maybe Cole to take over his HB spot. Holm can fly so he should be used in the traditional role of Safety and not pretend to be a LB stopping the run or doling out punishment, he can leave that job to bigger DB's like Cole or Karamoko on demand.

  19. He's admitted he knew but was pissed off that a ref 40 yards away was able to make a call he had no chance of seeing correctly.

Modern qbs are doing that and throwing back against their body way more than you used to see. With the hash change you also see a lot more of these throws now.

  23. Is it just me, or do the Lions have the worst uniforms in the CFL? Yesh, looks like the ugly two tone Oiler unis (except in black) from a few seasons ago … 🤮

  25. Speed is every thing for lbers these days. The later quicks to get gap to gap with out having to turn and run, and to be able to burst into the tackle. Getting off blocks is upper strength to an extent, but also technique and desire to get to the run. Even some of the good rookies struggled with getting washed out at time in pre season. And the thing is 205-215lbs guys can be real outliers. Clercius is a bit bigger but really really strong. When the job is to get off blocks rather than try to drive a block you don’t need de size.

  27. He also had games where he was pretty invisible (ex: Hamilton game in week 3 - 3 targets, 1 catch for 16 yards). That can happen to any receiver though. And I'm not saying he was bad by any means, he just wasn't the full version of himself yet. Hopefully Wilson can continue to improve as well. Demski was the primary target after Ellingson went down & Schoens numbers didn't surge until week 15 (a full month after Ellingson got hurt). The first few games after Ellingsons injury (weeks 12, 13 & 14) Schoens numbers were actually his worst of the season.

  28. The deficiencies in the play of Bighill, Thomas and Alexander are so obvious that their continued presence is puzzling and infuriating.

  33. I have to admit after seeing Woods play a great game i would not mind seeing Willie Fox Woods and Adams or Garbutt on the end just to see...not going to happen unless there is injuries imo.

  34. Probably the backup DB for if someone goes down, maybe replaces Griffen, maybe BA. The point is, I don’t think either corner is losing their spot to Parker. That would be ideal imo. FS needs to be replaced before dime

Yep. Riders are a mid tier team. Bc and mtl are on top, neither are run away monsters either. Then tor and ssk with tor in front, with Kelly back they might go into top tier. Next fringe play off tier is us, ott, and cal in a pickem. Then you have edm and ham. Edm I think could easily slide to the next tier and be above any of those teams. Ham is the clear bottom. Next week across the board is going to be real interesting Was he on a one year or multi year deal?

  39. 100% healthy Wilson, which he seems to be finally, is capable of shedding blocks and tackling backs one on one in the hole as we saw a few times vs the stamps. He can play Mac easily. Most teams don’t run big lber cores any more.

  40. I just can't imagine how they watch film from last night and don't see bighill falling all over the field missing tackles...

  41. Woods and Adams inside, let Thomas and Schmeckle back them up but those two need to be the guys getting most of the reps. Then actually roster enough DEs. Please for the love of god. Use the DL properly and it makes everything easier. That's not even getting into how cooked Bighill is.

Out of all his MODP seasons, I think 2021 was his most impressive. The guy legitimately was a heat seeking missile.

  44. You go and do exactly what you are bemoaning about...and if someone takes a jab at me...I'll throw it right back.. and if a coach..player...management is sucking arse and doing stupid stuff...I won't sugar coat it...you don't like it...don't read it...respond as you wish...or block...I won't lose any sleep and will 100 percent discuss in a way that suits your fancy if the retort to.me warrants politeness as to.not hurt anyone's tender feelings That being said after reviewing a bit more game...Adams needs to be used inside exclusively to make him more eff3ctivw...and in tandem with another solid DT...when he's outside he can be schemed away and you see what happens up the guy with Thomas...And Biggie....no more of this playing guys out of position cause they "can" but it's jot their bread and butter...mainly because we have zero idea of how to maximize out roster and make just plain dumb decisions. Hubert tho showing potention was basically rendered ineffective for most part...and no knock on him but to be expected...he not ready for major dose of reps..and the Goobal? Just why is all I ask...sure...let him work at WIL or MLB...but was right over matched all game and is so very raw...how Osh doesn't see that I practice is bizarre...almost troubling

  45. The last few years when other teams have had injuries, WPG fans have said "Tough ****, next man up, that's the way it goes, etc." so, as much as my heart is hemorrhaging for you, I don't believe it's time for other teams to catch up.

  46. The O hasn’t been decent all year though. We’ve suffered from 2 and outs, red zone issues, and inability to keep drives going all year plus turn overs. the D gave us a Td, a turn over that prevented points and set up the offence in the red zone, plus tanners block. We kicked 5 fg attempts, and threw two picks on the wrong side of the field. If our O played decent we would’ve won in a blow out. Mean while our D has given up among the fewest points. Swap out jake ba and biggie, we get a guy or two back from injury and we have the best D in the league, and the best since late 21.
