  1. Did we all under rate guys like Hurl and Hecht too? Cause it was the same **** with those types before as well. This is a flaw that O'Shea has shown from the beginning here. Sometimes he puts guys in positions because talent isn't everything.... yet the team rises to new, impressive heights when the talent is actually played there.

  2. Honestly I’d keep Wallace. He’s been good in his limited reps and after the pre season I think he has the best upside of all our young ol. Kick kola to the curb, start eli, keep Wallace. Dobson has been improving, albeit not at the rate I’d prefer.

  3. Crazy and dangerous to me to go with a guy again who hasn't caught a CFL punt in even a pre-season game. At least leave Smith on. Hopefully Case is a stud.

  6. Honestly I could see Wilson being a good receiver in this league. His problems the first few games were totally mental. He just flat out couldn't make a play on the ball. If he is over that what's stopping him? No obviously if he goes back to looking clueless as to finishing the play then sure he's on the bust pile, but why be negative now? He's over the rookie jitters, sky's the limit.

  11. I see him developing as a BC's Cottoy type of player, key role , sometimes a prime target.

  12. What do you base that on? The guy has come in & made some catches as a rookie. Stiffer. what does that even mean? He hasn't really started his CFL career in earnest & yet you sound like you've writen him of. As far as Kola goes, you've done the oposite after a third of the season is done saying how solid he's ben when he hasn't. Have you sen his botched blocking asignments? Watched him get pushed back into the qbs face on a pass rush? Or make mistakes on blocking asignments? He's the worst starting Center in the CFL.

  13. and of the 8 LB's...2 are actually legit (Wilson and Cole) Ayers is a potential guy but never gets a rep in lieu of one who is toast as an every down guy (biggie) and one who has no business as the every down guy (Kramdi).....Gauthier and Cadwallader are basically just teamers at this point and if they have to take heavy reps we are likely hemorrhaging....But finally we have some new blood in Jones.....but does he just get the shaft like Ayers/Cole as we play oodles and oodles of Biggie/kramdi??

  15. What's that country song? "I'm not as good as I once was; but I'm as good once as I ever was" Booch knows this about himself, if only some of our players did...

  16. would have been nice to add him with some return experience if the new guy isnt cutting it...or gets hurt again....and also see what Lucky can offer in Johnson's spot...but that would make too much sense

  18. To overlook the advantage the Blue has would be a mistake. Intangibles matter. This time of year, the SK province still uses standard time, because the cows prefer it for milking. The rider players will have had a full day of milking prior to the game, which is tiring. I’ve seen a prediction of the bombers winning by scoring more than 40, but playing in standard time, we score over 50.

  21. he hasnt lost a step at all...and he is in way better shape than some of the other dead weight we dressed to start the season who played no snaps in pre-season...or came off injury...dude is a workout animal and exactly this...if the team didnt do their due diligence prior to bringing him in...thats just something else to add to the pile of incompetence and questionable roster moves/decisions

  22. If those were questions they had, and I’m sure they were, they should have worked him out before signing him. If they did that, I’m back to my original question…. I don’t see our playbook being that hard to grasp, so what’s the deal?

  24. This is where Parker is heads and shoulders above any DB we had last yr...not anmed Nichols and right in line with Bonds this yr....Loose hips and very fluid movement flipping from back to forward and breaking with hardly needing to gear down. Guys just have that natural movement that makes them excell in coverage...and also be able to explode into a hit and close fast..All 3 have that. If you get a chance to go watch a practice and the DB's doing drills focus on that and watch Parker....so good. Much Like Denmark was as a receiver...he could make moves....cut....adjust routes to the ball in air all in stide and not having to slow up...and also had that ability to do it with a bump up in speed... Kolo tho...he is weak....he's also undersized but doesn't have the athleticism that you want/need when using an undersized center, which can make them highly effective. He also I don't think consistently makes the right calls....Something Couture excelled at. He was right out of football and nobody wanted him...and at that time some teams had baaaaad olines...reason he was on the street...we were in a pinch and needed some bodies...so we brought him in and then the inkury fairy sprinkled it's dust for him...and now Osh thinks he the cats meow....Why I dont know...he gets confused by pretty much any stunt, or defender flashing in front of him...can't stay engaged on his block very often and a lot of plays are snuffed out, or a qb is pressured by his initial block coming free and ruin the play....gets drove back into the pocket far too often which isnt good with a QB like ZC who rarely leaves it these days, and isnt a mass mover like Eli..Dobson...or Wallace...He's prob I agree the bottom center in the league.

  25. He looks old school and appears to be a guy that plays old school too. I like it. I hope he continues to develop well. I think the lineup looks pretty solid. Now if it used right we might be onto something.

  31. yeah...I agree...But I was just thinking of how Oshie would think...and what he would do...sacrifice talent to keep one his boi's on roster...Wallace next to Eli has the most upside of the 3 nationals...I dont include Kolo in that as he is whathe is and has no further upside...and Neuf is what he is as well..I not as critical of him here as others...switch out the center and allow him to only favour one part of the online (tackle side) you would see a huge difference...he didnt have to favour hardricks end before so could compensate for Kolo...Now he has 2 guys he needs to kind of babysit...and well...we see the results was gonna say...this has gone on...all the tenure of Osh...He has his fav's and they play...whether they the best option or not....It's going on still this yr....Kolo...Thomas...Kramdi...BA...Biggie...what other team in the league would Kolo start on..Likely none...and likely be hard pressed to be the 6th olineman...Same with Thomas...He may get rostered but who would playhim 90% of the reps...nobody...Kramdi wouldnt start anywhere else...Biggie...maybe but I bet he would be a role player...not an everydown guy...same with BA... Not sure why the switch....especially with like mentioned...zero live reps...if anything have both on...and MCI....Why yank him after 2 really solid games and our run game showed from it...unless he is hurt...not sure what always hurt Hallett gives us considering he has played probably 8 snaps in 3 yrs here...when we we losing Osh keeps everything as is...but we won a couple and he switching guys out...Jones and Garbutt are solid and I like...Hopefully Jones isnt just standing on sidelines all game save for ST's tho...

  33. move Thomas to PR or 6 game him...He isnt the future, and Schmeck needs the reps to see if he is the future to back up Lawson...Him or Samson...Having Thomas eating up reps is just blocking the progression and or assessment of the other 2 younger DT's....not letting us even see if they are a option for a succession plan in 2025 and beyond...or if we need to draft/trade for or find a new player This is where we have failed miserably under Osh the last 3 yrs for any linebacker prospects... DT's...DE's...safety....we just clung to aging and underwhelming "vets" who Osh liked...and look where we at now...no depth in any of those spots...and no idea of who can take over...DT is kind of a spot where we can be really good with 3 of the current imports we have, if we actually used them all for 80% of reps and went away from having to think we need to always have a national on the dline...cause we dont...and we are a lot stronger when we go all import...but Osh gonna Osh can he can and Management is letting him...or so we assume....who rwally knows what the dynamics are there and if their friction...from what I hear and know....it's all not unicorns and rainbows

  39. Yeah thats overkill...and MCI and Clercius are capable in a TE set If dropping Wallace allows us to bring on Kelley...or any other Canadian that would play teams and be used for more than 3..4 snaps a game then we better off. We list jake as an 8th olineman..well make him the 7th now...and stand there all game for his 3..4 snaps....fixes 2 things with one swift roster move...Gives us another Teamer...and takes him out of the dline equation lol

  40. Score wise idk what to expect. The riders give up the most passing yards and sacks though. I could see a coming out party type game for Adams and or woods. The riders run D has been very good, but buck has a habit of passing to run lately and that could work very well. The riders passing o isn’t good and our pass D is maybe the best. I don’t think the riders will commit to running but will hurt us when they do. Probably some thing like 13 caries 100 yards for aj. I think we will control TOP, and drive the field a lot, but struggle to cash in. Another big night for Sergio. The riders also force a crazy amount of turn overs, I think either way this goes we have a decent chance of seeing strevy if zach doesn’t protect the ball. Biggie shouldn’t play D any more in the cfl. Dudes toast.
