  6. He tries to do big hits all the time. He just sucks now. Still thinks he can lay guys out but usually it's him falling over/bouncing off and giving up big gains

  8. Wade just needs to have a talk with them, Fat Tony style: "I'm afraid I must insist. You see, the fans, they have been most vocal on the subject of the cooked vets. "Where are the cuts?" "When are you going to replace them?" "Why are they still playing?" And so on."

  9. Some insight from Sheldon Kennedy on what Bowman has done since leaving the Hawks. https://thehockeynews.com/news/sheldon-kennedy-of-respect-in-sports-group-reflects-on-his-work-with-stan-bowman. "I was immediately struck by Stan’s genuine care and concern for Kyle, and what could have been done differently," Kennedy said. "During that period, we spoke almost daily about the seriousness of sexual abuse from the victim’s perspective. We didn’t talk about hockey at all. We focused on what went wrong, what he could have done differently and, most importantly, what could be done to prevent this from happening again." Kennedy said Bowman's desire to acknowledge his mistakes and make amends with Beach were sincere and that he volunteered nearly full-time hours to help develop the Respect Charter and workshop curriculums. He added Bowman also co-facilitated the Respect Charter session at Trinity Western University in British Columbia and met with Beach, who attended the workshops and discussed their realities. "Stan’s acceptance, open mindedness, and understanding were huge difference makers in building this workshop," Kennedy said. Near the end of his letter, Kennedy said he believes Bowman "would be a valuable asset to an organization due to his acknowledgment of past mistakes and his relentless efforts to make the locker room/game safer for everyone. "Lastly and most importantly, I feel that Stan will do everything in his power to make sure what happened to Kyle Beach (who is a hero in my opinion) will not happen to anyone else," he added. ________ I respect Kennedy's perspective on this topic. Perhaps Bowman has realized some personal growth in his time away.

  10. I actually talk to Bob quite a bit. I work for a business that he does business with. He seems always interested in talking Bombers, both current, and tells some cool stories about his playing days.

  11. Renovating someone's house. It may happen and we don't know but I will never understand why the team doesn't ask him to come spend time with punting prospects at TC to teach just that one technique as in to the wind is such a tricky aspect of the game.

Sounds like he tried hard to better himself. He’s not a murderer. He didn’t do anything to Kyle beach. He deserves another opportunity

  14. Signing an old, over the hill DB who hasn't played in 3 years to the PR? The Bombers have gone from a model CFL franchise as recently as last year to a complete joke by the fanbase in just one off season. Personnel decisions since last season are head scratchers. Very sad.

  15. Yeah I mean can you blame people though? We’ve had a great 8 year run, 4 straight grey cups, 2 championships with in that time, people’s standards are high right now. 2-5 with an aging team is ugly no matter how you spin it, the fans know the standard for excellence and the club isn’t meeting those standards. I would be more troubled if we just accepted the mediocrity.

  17. Grimes screams of a guy we wanted a long time ago when he was good but couldn’t get him. Now he’s available and we are fulfilling a want. we could’ve had moncrief, who what ever he has left is better and who made grimes expendable in edm lol. Just ugly ugly move. Either Walter’s/wade are losing their mind or we are going to be losing ours for a good while to come.

  18. we know 2..prob 3 guys tho he prob better than...and yes..I lumped biggie in there....the trifecta of below avrage....well I guess may as well plop Thomas in there and make it the true quartet it is....pretty sad when 1/3 of your defense....right up the gut basically...is sub par....worst in the league There is no excuse...reasoning or way a HC could create an environment where a team that still has legit top shelf vet talent in the house can take his back to back champ team...and one that got there the last 2 yrs as well albeit lost...but compiled a 29-7 record in doing so drop off the cliff so abruptly and be sitting at 2-5 1/3rd of way into season with a very good chance of being 2-8 in real short order....none whatsoever...thats failure off epic proportions and any rope on his leash he had for the 2 cup wins should be cinched up real tight now. The GM to a lesser extent should also be looked at but he and his Asst's brought in a lot of talent that their HC basically ushered out the door not even allowing them a legit chance to bump a worse player off the roster...even tho several showed better.....that being said he should have laid down the law and or not even gave Osh the opportunity to roster some guys...no matter what his reasoning for bringing them back were....

  19. Ya I have exactly 2 Bomber games on my PVR right now and even those I don't particularly care to watch. This season has been mostly hot garbage.

  20. Agree with all that. lol ya. Atleast last year he was flashing that quickness closing the gap (he was giving up too much cushion) and made plays on the ball. This year he’s made like one such play. Yeah, kramdi should be a rotational back up type. He’d be good in that use situationally. But mos loves up jumped fringe players. drives me crazy that we could fix most of our problems with ease. And that we gave Kramdi huge bucks. And now we grab grimes but not guys like Titus wall when he was available? I can’t wait to see who comes off the pr lol. Seriously though, we could’ve scooped 3 good young dbs who’ve played good seasons since we won the gc, instead of an old guy who hasn’t played a good one since before. Even if he does idk, maybe we get half a season of a year and a half out of him? Only an upgrade for one imp if he’s got any thjng left. Vs young guys thatve been available. Even then, Cole played S in ps and has played Sam griffin has looked good in limited reps. I have a hard time seeing grimey being better than Cole or griffin.

  31. Wow, the roster management of this team with the Canadian Mafia just gets better & better. There comes a time when things just get stale & a change is needed. Wow, is it ever needed here.

  37. The team has broken this board. Everyone freaks out about any single transaction. This is a practice roster signing. If he has nothing left then they just cut him.

  38. Unless he is going to be looked at as a safety.......trying to figure this out.....perhaps his experience and some leadership qualities make him viewed as a potential upgrade at safety? I don't see him starting at half or corner and I don't think we have anyone at half or corner hurt from last week...plus as others above mentioned we seem to have some capable guys at depth... Could it be he is getting looked at LB.....maybe his experience could make him a good cover LB?? maybe a few years off he has some physicality back?? I mean I am happy we are bringing guys in and I like the Whitehead signing.....that one to me upgrades us and makes sense....but this signing puzzles me......can't wait to seeif/how he ends up being used???

  39. Maybe they’re just going to harvest his bones and organs to start stockpiling so they can build one fully functioning player by the end of the year

  40. It happened to Mike Reilly, didn't want to struggle with adversity any longer and threw in the towel earlier than he probably had to. One year after he was gone the Nathan Rourke thing happened and BC became contenders, so it wasn't hopeless circumstances that did him in, it was his will to struggle onwards.

Tom Segura Bobby Lee and Jessica Kirson were well worth the expense and the GA+ imo was worth it too, got there at 6pm, no lineup at the gates merch tables or drink tents, got seats within arms reach of the VIP area. I hear Billy Redface was a great show as well buy I'm happy with my choice to see Jeans in person

  44. We have a no2 on our roster that would be better than MBT, Collaros and Ford.

  45. Hard to say what they have in QB Wilson and we'll never find out if they keep him buried deep in a coal mine all season. Time for the scouts to do some leg work, can't just pick 1 or 2 QB's out of the bush every off-season and say "oh, I guess we're done". As badly as this season has gone so far, perhaps it's better they miss the playoffs and focus their efforts on roster renewal and replacement instead of desperately trying to squeeze in and getting annihilated in the first round by "YOUR SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS".

  46. So that's the first time I've seen that, as I too shut it off early..... And the whining about it seems overblown. He shoves him down and then MAYBE rolls up on him with the shoulder. But the way people on here are crying about it, I thought Bighill teed off on him with a missile to the head. This gets a meh from me...

  47. Don't care what MOS says......win or lose, he has always played shut pan with media. What counts now is action - pulling certain guys, right out of the lineup.....and start the retooling now......

  48. We know that O'Shea hates to lose more than he likes winning, and we know that he always shelters the players publicly. This isn't difficult to figure out.

  49. Breathe in for 4, hold for 7, breathe out for 8. Repeat and clear out all sharp objects for your safety and others. Namaste. That will be $500.00 please. I accept e-transfer or Bomber wins as payment.
