  1. Well you're not asking me, but I'm going to answer anyway... bighill is more done than Collaros is.

  3. But I mean feltmate is actually good on teams and useful as a blocker. If this is the best we can do for a replacement like that it’s pretty sad. I mean even for a guy off the streets it’s lacklustre. Zero cfl camps practices etc. could even go wheatfall for Jonson and woli on instead of schmeck. Woli starts and clercius is off the bench. Then for our heavy set clercius and woli both go on.

  4. Do we even want a half healthy Bighill in the line up?

  5. Peter is probably Adams....Paul being Vanterpool...if thats where we go....Still think that the smart move is to remove Johnson for Vanterpool if Woli is back and leave the dline intact. I wanna see what the big guy has on the oline so hopefully thats what we do...Johnson has played 8 games...has 18 grabs for 138 yards...pretty sure we be just fine with whatever a combo of Woli/Clercius gives us there, and with the right passport to allow us to make our defence stronger

  6. They've been running 7 OL all season, I'd be surprised if the first game back after 2 guys went down, they reduce it to six.

  7. From observations I have....ZC ...and last game as proof, can, and could find his mojo and if play within himself, and system...carry us and be pretty valuable AB....well we seen when he has gone out in game...or missed a game....is not really missed and if anything we are more versatile....and when he is in....he is now limited in what he can do, and should be a situational guy at best now....but our coach doesn't see it that way A Aging QB who still has ability albeit not consistently, but has piece around him has more value, and can win you games....a MLB with diminished skills...and slowed down...even with a solid group around him can and will be exposed...and with lingering injury issues nagging him now for 2+ yrs...why risk having him on there when you cant assume he will make it thru game after game healthy yup

  11. I’m not terribly comfortable with him playing on the D-line either.

  13. Given Stan's recent health, I am dressing Vanterpool as a precautionary measure and I think it is 100% the smart thing to do in this situation. Normally I would agree with Booch and suggest that dressing Vanterpool is not necessary. However, this week I think it is better safe than sorry. We need to make sure Stan is insulated because we can't risk losing him long term because we didn't have the foresight to be able to sit him down, even just to hydrate, if the effects of last week are lingering.

  14. That’s the last thing I wanted to see. They should have dropped Johnson.

  15. Like to see what Vanderpool has...but being an import at the expense of who Personally if Woli back possibly...I'd drop Johnson and slot Woli in and we have Whitehead in case of injury to a receiver To drop a guy on the defensive front in a game which may come down to who plays best in the trenches be kinda foolish to remove a guy from there...

  16. Agree with that. Zach is near the end, but he’s still dangerous. The lights could click on suddenly and he could waltz down the field for a td on every drive at any time. The flickers become less frequent every game, but he could have the best game of his career left in him. Biggie, I don’t know if he has a single big drive left in his gas tank. Maybe a play here or there. Likely a dropping back in zone type of play. I don’t think he has a single play of standing up a blocker, shedding switching gaps and making a crushing 1on1 tackle in the hole. Zach has some struggles with health, I don’t think we will know full details till he retires but I think he has lingering hand issues and of course the concussions. Biggie seems to have fleeting moments when he looks like a healthy pro football player. Nature of his position, and our piss poor use of him for soo long. How many times did he get sent into an interior linemen to remove a blocker here? 500? A thousand? Too damn many that’s for sure.

  17. Biggest difference now is that the 7th OL has to be American. Harder to make the roster work that way.

  18. If MCI is good to go....not sure why he doesnt go in for Schmeck and his un-evetfull 5 reps a game...and minimal work on teams and with Woli back...Clercius a key cog.....cant see why Johnson doesnt come off for Vanterpool as you still have them same amount of receivers...just one is Canadian instead of American, so should be right up Osh's alley...keeping our best defensive lineman all on roster....but alas....Osh is gonna Osh...Scmeck will stand around most the game...Thomas will get continually exposed...as it filters into Gauthier who also will get exposed as the MLB in some schemes......why deviate from the script right?

  19. Or earlier than that, from Favre to Rodgers in the first place, or even earlier, from Montana to Young. Plus it wouldn't even be Collaros vs Brown, but rather Collaros + the fifth round pick we got for Brown vs. Brown + the asset we would get for Collaros (and I assume more than a 5th round pick) + the cap space to sign another impact player.

  20. Pretty bad that we have nobody on our PR which makes us have to grab guys off the street...like where is our depth Maybe Schmeck is taking Wallace roster spot...be a shame that we bump off a dline guy who actually is effective...guess we shall see what Osh does...Why Woli and Johnson can't be a one for one swap allowing us to still dress them all...we'd still have the same amount of receivers on roster...and if Schmeck is on for Wallace no reason he can't come in for a jumbo set...

  23. Disagree 100%. Running the ball should absolutely be adoption because if he shows a willingness and ability to run teams have to now account for it.

  24. Mos just said he expects big Stan to play now, and thinks Wallace might be back this year. It makes sense that they would give Stan time to rest. Recovering from that type of dehydration especially for a big guy, is no joke. I do worry they might send him to go when he isn’t ready. It does beg questioning how he became critically dehydrated on the first drive. Guy keeps him self in immaculate shape and is a real pro. Maybe it was a mistake or accident. But I hope it’s not a sign of deeper issues. He did have streaks of about a month twice were he was not only brutal, but consistently throwing pick 6s. Zach is a great great guy and team player though, Rodger’s is a turd. It’s hard to say when it’s time to move on from a guy like zach. But I think 90% of that call is dependant on having the next guy. Brown + strevy is the best case scenario to move on. You never get a better jumping off point.

  27. I think Weitz comes off. That 2nd global is at the expense of another Canadian. Interesting / fair point about whether they consider adding another import OL. Unless they'd plan to start him in front of Eli, I don't think they do that. My expectation is that Thomas gets a few reps on the OL this week as the 7th OL. Bryant is almost a lock to be back after a week of not feeling well with flu/cold etc.

  29. I 100 percent expect Stan in...and yeah we may just roll with 6 guys as Clercius has done a killer job in the run game, and Woli back too is huge for that so that 7th ol guy really is a minimal need...especially when only option is an import who steals talent that would see lotsa reps on defense...a big athletic guy like Adams would be a nice piece in the jumbo set...totally agree

  30. For sure. We could go on forever. The Patriots nearly went back to Drew Bledsoe for their first SB. Even Mahomes wasn’t a sure thing, he sat behind Alex Smith for a year before KC traded the latter. (Actually the second time that happened to Smith in his career but I digress) You don’t even have to go to the NFL for an example. Henry Burris was let go by the Ticats after a cup appearance to make room for Collaros himself (who was less proven than Dru Brown at that point in his career)

  34. He's slower then before but far from being a guy who can't roll out anymore. He did it against BC and it worked well. I think the bigger issue is the decision making on his part.

  35. Shocking said no one ever. Hope he comes back to the CFL but not looking forward to the potential storyline TSN cooks up to pump his tires. Looking forward to seeing him with his palms up then fighting like a seven year old with an Olineman after the whistle.

  36. AGREE....teams have been feeing off and basically rushing with no abandon as he has shown no threatto take off...if he does it more often....things will open up when he is on a sprint or roll out trying to switch launch points...its all part of the game and if a guy gets hurt...he gets hurt...

  37. The mobility issue isn’t physical now imo. Early in the year I think it was a game shape issue. The last two weeks we’ve seen him do a much better job with his feet. The problem is he often tucks the ball as soon as he sees pressure and takes his eyes off the down field targets. He stares into the blitz then tries to get the ball out of his arm and back to his hand then throws half blind. The moment he tucks the ball any one in the tackle box rushes him. The moment he takes his eyes off the targets he loses coverage adjustments. When zach was at his best here he wasn’t crazy fast escaping, he was really poised. Eyes down field, ball ready to throw, stepping confidently not panicking. He always seemed fast enough to beat any rush, because the threat of throwing and running keeps the D honest. Because his goal was to take whatever was open. Not force a shot to over compensate.

  38. 100% someone would have taken him if the Bombers put him on the trade market. Would have been the easiest thing in the world especially with Ottawa 100% needing a qb, or edmonton... or potentially sask or Hamilton or even Toronto what with Kelly's issues.

  39. Good. I don't care what anyone says about his attitude, his prep (or lack thereof), what he did or didn't do before the Grey Cup in Montreal, etc. With apologies to Stegall, he is the single best player I ever saw live and was a reason alone for going to the stadium. Congrats to Charlie!
