  1. Haba over Adams continues to be their favourite mistake. If you want an impactful edge guy, find a better one. If you want a more impactful guy based on who is on the team today, dress Adams.

  2. YEah I was thinking tonight it's criminal that they don't have a friday night game. Friday night is sort of their marquee night. Does a disservice to not have it IMO.

  3. I would rather talk about the Riders inching closer to their 700th loss as a franchise lol

  4. Any thoughts on not having a fnf game for ld weekend? I know they like the double header and I feel like every one wants to play the Monday, but Friday football in the summer is the best. I’d prefer one game a day Friday Saturday Sunday and Monday. Could have a mini show before pre Game or some thing with highlights from the ld history and a year by year recap. Obviously that would be much better for 3 of the Games because those have soo much great history.

  5. People don't like to dwell on positives with Osh around here.... Pretty sure there's "we need to fire him before he tarnishes Grants legacy and steals his records undeservedly" kind of vibes around here right now...

  6. Cute idea from our neighbours to the west. Fundraiser for a dog rescue shelter where you can pay $20 and prank a Rider fan to have a "World's biggest Blue Bomber fan" lawn sign put on their yard. - They ask that you either wait 24 hours for ths sign to be removed (and face the ridicule that comes with it) or donate $20 to their cause to have the sign removed immediately - They encourage you to then prank someone else (kind of like a pay it forward thing) https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.6496219 Proceeds go to the local dog rescue, if you want to participate, email fundraising@bedz.ca

  7. So have we discussed the fact that MOS's next win is his 102nd which would tie the club record?

  8. I don't get Johnson staying on the roster when he does squat. I don't get Adams being off. Rinse, repeat.

  9. yeah....gonna be a tough one...and interesting...Hopefully with this more athletic group as a whole we see a lot of slide protection schemes and moving the pocket....thats how you can compensate for a weaker/or green line....think of why teams used the veer...minimize mismatches and more a ball control, and with BO...mix in Dmeski and Whitehead and now the Woli security blanket back...may have Sask grasping at straws for a while Pointless....and insignificant....with a likely low scoring game...and one of who plays best on the line Adams in for him especially with Woli back would make wayyyyy more sense...Just seeing the DT spot manned by Thomas/Schmeckle is enough to make a guy puke...and even Hubert now has really fell off the map with effectiveness....and expecting an 8th rounder to continue to flourish as a raw rookie was a pipe dream anyway... with reps all week, and getting used to what we installed for this game all week...maybe he surprises, but we have to expect a few rookie gaffs I also truly think we been holding back what we have installed for Streveler and this seeming reliance on just run..run..run. I believe we are not showing cards there for teams to plan for until labour day and beyond when games start to really mean something...I guess we will see there too...I don't think our coaches are that idiotic in his deployment

  10. Don’t get at all why Johnson is still on the roster. Hasn’t shown a damn thing all season.

  11. Watching that makes me sad that we haven't found/brought in another pass rusher to make it really go. That's when you just become lethal at turning the ball over...like we were from 2016-2022

  12. ok, I liked the previous video, but I really enjoyed this one. If you're curious about how the bomber D dominates, you gotta watch this. Lapo shows what match coverage is and how the Bombers used it to create coverage sacks, low-percentage throws, and turnovers against the Lions. The split-second pattern recognition these guys do is astonishing. You've gotta be smart to play DB in this system. I remember Kramdi getting praise for his football IQ and I can see why that's important now. Once again the all-24 view is so great. All we can see on TV is the pass rush while there's a whole ballet happening in the secondary.

  14. At least Randolph was taking all reps at LT in practice and focusing his efforts at that position. Hopefully he will be better.

  15. Damn that sucks, it’s serious though with a big older guy. I’m glad they are taking his recovery seriously and not just letting him go in when he isn’t ready. That said it’s gonna be a mess of pass pro. Shifts the line in a huge way too. Buck really really needs to step up his play call to aid zach with protection. Yuuuup I hope we win it, but I wouldn’t bet a dime to win a grand on it.

  18. At this point in his career, I think Big Stan can manage just fine without practice.

  27. He's fine... I almost guarantee that he's being forced to sit out practice this week. He's arguably the best OL in CFL history. He doesn't need to take practice reps this week. He needs fluids and rest and then knock some sorry Gapper ******* on his ass come Sunday.

  28. It's a marquis night one week & a nothing burger the next. Can't figure TSN out at the best of times. A week or so ago, they didn't have a game on TSN1. It was on TSN4. Why not TSN1? They had a MLB game. Oh, the Blue Jays? Nope. Something like Baltimore at Cleveland. Like WTF?

  29. My only concern with Stan is what % he is. He could play and they would play him if he was too low for his own good. But a week to rehydrate and recover should be good if it wasn’t any thing more serious. I’d Be more concerned with how healthy Brady is. And if biggie is playing heavy reps again.

  34. Who have been our best guys since Collaros has been here? The guys he seeks out? Adams, Lawler, Ellingson, Schoen, Wolitarsky, mix in a bit of Bailey. Then you have the shots to Demski and guys like that. All 6'1, over 200 lbs. Once we lost Schoen and Lawler our offense changed significantly without any vertical threat. And we had 20 American rookie receivers in camp. I think 3 of the 20 fit the profile of Collaros type targets. Wheatfall made the team, Alston got brought back. There's enough guys around to bring in 7-8 guys like that instead of 3 or 4. But it's pretty easy to tell they were thinking "we have Lawler, Schoen, Wolitarsky" so we're covered and they were very specifically looking for someone like Wilson to fit around those guys so they brought 15 of them to camp.

  35. Yup that's why it would be nice if Zach could mimic in some way what Anthony Calvillo did so good and get that ball out quick to his receivers.

  36. All the more reason I hope we don’t take Adams off the AR. I want all hands on deck to make Harris’ life miserable every time he drops back to pass.

  37. Well you're not asking me, but I'm going to answer anyway... bighill is more done than Collaros is.

  39. Brett Favre actually told the Packers that he was retiring, and then decided to come back... and then backed out There had been rumours of him retiring as early as 2005. There was no indication I think that Favre was going to play in Green Bay again, but other than that probably the closest fit... they were 13-3, made it to the NFC Championship, he made the Pro Bowl and was 2nd team all-Pro. Montana to Young... Montana was severely injured for almost 2 years and in the meantime Steve Young took the reins. And again... the Rodgers to Love thing, Rodgers had probably his worst season as a pro and had all kinds of baggage going on. I am actually starting to see a bit of a trend here and eagerly await what kind of villainy Love gets up to in 10 years time.

  40. Peter is probably Adams....Paul being Vanterpool...if thats where we go....Still think that the smart move is to remove Johnson for Vanterpool if Woli is back and leave the dline intact. I wanna see what the big guy has on the oline so hopefully thats what we do...Johnson has played 8 games...has 18 grabs for 138 yards...pretty sure we be just fine with whatever a combo of Woli/Clercius gives us there, and with the right passport to allow us to make our defence stronger

  41. If MCI is good to go....not sure why he doesnt go in for Schmeck and his un-evetfull 5 reps a game...and minimal work on teams and with Woli back...Clercius a key cog.....cant see why Johnson doesnt come off for Vanterpool as you still have them same amount of receivers...just one is Canadian instead of American, so should be right up Osh's alley...keeping our best defensive lineman all on roster....but alas....Osh is gonna Osh...Scmeck will stand around most the game...Thomas will get continually exposed...as it filters into Gauthier who also will get exposed as the MLB in some schemes......why deviate from the script right?

  42. For sure. We could go on forever. The Patriots nearly went back to Drew Bledsoe for their first SB. Even Mahomes wasn’t a sure thing, he sat behind Alex Smith for a year before KC traded the latter. (Actually the second time that happened to Smith in his career but I digress) You don’t even have to go to the NFL for an example. Henry Burris was let go by the Ticats after a cup appearance to make room for Collaros himself (who was less proven than Dru Brown at that point in his career)

  43. He's slower then before but far from being a guy who can't roll out anymore. He did it against BC and it worked well. I think the bigger issue is the decision making on his part.

  44. That’s the last thing I wanted to see. They should have dropped Johnson.

  45. AGREE....teams have been feeing off and basically rushing with no abandon as he has shown no threatto take off...if he does it more often....things will open up when he is on a sprint or roll out trying to switch launch points...its all part of the game and if a guy gets hurt...he gets hurt...
    1 point
  46. Disagree 100%. Running the ball should absolutely be adoption because if he shows a willingness and ability to run teams have to now account for it.

  48. Mos just said he expects big Stan to play now, and thinks Wallace might be back this year. It makes sense that they would give Stan time to rest. Recovering from that type of dehydration especially for a big guy, is no joke. I do worry they might send him to go when he isn’t ready. It does beg questioning how he became critically dehydrated on the first drive. Guy keeps him self in immaculate shape and is a real pro. Maybe it was a mistake or accident. But I hope it’s not a sign of deeper issues. He did have streaks of about a month twice were he was not only brutal, but consistently throwing pick 6s. Zach is a great great guy and team player though, Rodger’s is a turd. It’s hard to say when it’s time to move on from a guy like zach. But I think 90% of that call is dependant on having the next guy. Brown + strevy is the best case scenario to move on. You never get a better jumping off point.

  49. Wait, how is the Riders secondary suspect? They have Ronald Milligan who is the best DB in CFL history. A combination of Rod Hill, Les Browne and Jovon Johnson. At least that what Suitor keeps saying.
    1 point
  50. Yeah, they either don't know how or don't want to mix Streveler in. At this point he is a less effective Prukop.
