  1. To summarize: the Bombers have a superb secondary

  2. The other thing about Sergio's pre-game warm ups, he has a young fan come out of the North End Zone come help with shagging balls. She is obviously a fan of his and it is pretty cute to see her out them with him, guessing 7 or 8 yrs old.

  3. Bonds is absolutely the star, you never hear his name because the receiver is never making plays in front of him. He’s absolutely the definition of shut down DB. Nichols and Ford are great but even they occasionally get burnt. Bonds just quietly does his job. He’s so good.

  4. Got some alliteration going on... And we DO NOT have a bad team. It's mostly just more parity in the league as a whole, imo

  5. I think the best case scenario for them would have been to air it on all platforms. Great to put it on mass-audience CTV, but leave it on one of the many TSNs and online platforms... It's all just a simulcast anyhow.

  6. That really sucks he's a superstar

  7. Griffin and Nichols have been excellent too. Ford makes the picks and is damn good, but Nichols is shut down and the best tackler on our D. Easily the best at filling a gap and making stops on backs from our lbers and dbs.

  8. Hahaha, all I have heard were complaints about how the CFL was not on a CTV for years. Now it is, and there are still complaints, lol. I feel like people complain for the sake of complaining. Could you not have made a free Bell account and had access online?

  9. I don't get it. They put all this effort into convincing me to get TSN Direct, and then when I finally do, they pull the rug out like this. What is the point of letting CTV show it, any younger gens that dont have cable wouldnt have been able to tune in and would be pissed... Average audience age is aging, this move only makes it worse imo

  12. Cable and tv channels will be gone within 10 - 20 years depending on when they think the subscriber base is low enough / when they age out. I have cable but only watch football and hockey on it. Everything else is streaming, youtube and podcasts for younger generations. Already see streaming services starting to buy the rights to professional sports. And when this all happens, guaranteed consumers will end up paying more.

  13. Higher up, it was blowing as strong at the end of the game. I am in the first row of the upper deck.

  16. I don't know enough to know enough but I'd be curious to find out what the difference is between CTV and TSN on the weekends, normally. Were the numbers down just because of the switch or are more people watching TSN normally...

  17. I think they're operating under the same agreement. Bell (TSN, CTV) probably worked with the CFL to make it happen. But, advertisers probably want it fairly exclusive, so that they know who is watching (and not switching between TSN and CTV).

  19. Yeah I saw another article saying that the door is still open so I agree that they'll try to put another proposal together.

  20. QB Casey Bauman (N) CFL rights holder: None The native of Sumas, Wash. qualified for Canadian citizenship through his B.C.-born mother ahead of the 2024 CFL Draft but got scooped up by an NFL team following a solid showing at the CFL Combine. The six-foot-six, 229-pound passer spent the past two seasons at Augustana University, completing 61.0 percent of his passes for 4,160 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions and rushing for 572 yards and six touchdowns.

  21. For me I have a wide range of sports that I haven't found a good way to get without cable. NFL/CFL/NHL/Tennis and any large semi yearly event (Olympics, World Cup etc.) Find me an internet package without multiple streaming providers that can get me all of that and I'd drop cable.

There are many made right in the city and not mass produced.... Grandpa's Wool Sweater from Barn Hammer would be an excellent choice.

  26. Super irritating. It’s basically being dicked around into paying for another form of the cable TV I didn’t want.

  28. Griffen is another under the radar, Nick Taylor type signing. Walters and the front office have been in a relative rough patch but Griffen and Jones were huge pickups.

  29. Which was annoying because I have 2 paid Bell accounts (Crave and TSN) but you need some magical other paid account to watch CTV online through their app.

  32. I used to rag on him last yr...havnt this yr but he seems to have regressed a bit Overall tho we have a strong group..I think also coincides to BA getting his game back and playing more a safety role...tho that one play last game was fugly lol Griffen too has been a huge reason..arguably one of our best most consistent guys over all this yr as well

  33. Very much so which is why I was sure to specify which direction. Pre-Game that is the Bombers end so not a lot of chance to kick in the other direction is SK is on the field. I think he tried some at the half but I don't have a view of the other end.

  34. Interesting. Not sure if it got windier as the day progressed but wind was more favorable going the other direction.

  35. Yeah, I am not sure what his deal is. If he is ready to practice he could have come up and signed with the current expanded practice rosters. I have noticed that most futures contracts are signed closer to the end of the season. Both Ontaria and Terry Wilson were signed to futures Oct 30th last year and then officially signed on Nov 20th when the season was over.

  43. In years past yes, it was that simple. Now you can't watch on the CTV app unless you sign in with a paid account.

  44. Just commenting on the general thought process that it is viable method. I think Hamilton tried last season bringing in BLM and it appears BC is doing the same this year, maybe they'll succeed. More interested in seeing the Bombers right their ship and flying full sail this season than what their plans are for next year, cause it's all connected.

  45. Bonds is excellent but Nichols is better, bonds benefits from playing next to nichol. The half almost never benefits from the corner. And it’s doubly true in our system. The half is the one making tough switches. The corner just maintains leverage over his area while sandwiching with the side line. It’s also worth noting that bonds hands are shakey even for a db. If he’d caught all the balls that hit him in the hands he’d lead the league in picks. Ford and Nichols are out making catches like wrs.
