  1. Current forecast high for Friday is 25c. Looks like less than 200 tickets available for the game. Remember start time is 7pm and not the regular time of 730.

  2. Bombers add db jordan toles to a futures deal. He’s a bigger cfl db, played S down south, I imagine they project him as a sam. Scored some tds in college, one big kr but not a volume return guy, blocked a couple kicks, not a crazy testing athlete but a two sport star (basketball) hs 4 star guy that was highly recruited. https://morganstatebears.com/sports/football/roster/jordan-toles/8480 https://247sports.com/player/jordan-toles-46050292/ https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Jordan-Toles-S-LSU

  5. Is it their age or their personality and what they allow their staff/players to do? MOS would have been considered a young HC (he was 42 when he came here) but you know that stuff would not fly with him, then or now. Rick Campbell and MOS are the same age but they could not be more different in how they let their teams their teams act.

  8. I think he was setting up for actually good position initially...he just didnt look and see the ball was severely underthrown and didn't adjust...it happens....but gotta look back as well when "ball" is yelled Thats how the majority of the Faj's deep shots were/are made....poor under thrown ball where DB didnt adjust as they were focused on receiver and not looking for ball in air

  9. Yup. Still trying to figure out what the hell he was doing on the Edmonton Flea-Flicker TD.

I can't imagine after a game where Tre Ford looked so rattled that they would start him on the road at the loudest stadium in the league.

I hope they kill us again in the run and put up zero first-half points and 14 total. Start Ford, Elks!

  15. I'd be shocked if it wasnt MBT starting on Friday. Edmonton needs to win now. But they wont.

  16. So angry. He plays that ball it's a pick easily.

  17. Ya BA did 80% of that play well....but misjudged it and well the rest was history...oops...however Ford should have been in Gino's hip-pocket, Ford actually bit on the "run" and let Gino go. I believe he has been bitten twice on the flea flicker this season, don't think that Edm. didn't have that drawn up off something they saw in Ford on film... BA has come on in the last bit, I don't think he is playing all-star like he has in the past, but his veteran know how does help us.....Biggie I mean one of the best ever and very "football" smart, but his body just doesn't seem to let him do it at the same level any longer...it happens to everyone, you can't beat age..... Jones and Ayers both looked good last week...

  18. Young head coaches are a big part of the problem because they're just like their players. Look at how stupid BC Lions DC Ryan Phillips acts on the sidelines with the many ("I can't believe this is happening") faces he makes when things go bad on the field for him. How he seems to mock other teams when his defense gets the upper hand & how he says he encourages his players to act like idiots on the field yapping. A generation ago, these coaches would have been shown the door by their HC or in the case of a mouthy HC, his GM. There seemed to be a lot more decorum & respect for one another back then.

  19. Realistically anytime Biggie the last 2 yrs has been out...we havnt missed him at all...or even noticed....and many times our LB's made some big plays....athletic ones....age is a s.o.b

  20. The worst was Suitor making excuses for Ford all game. Like when he made a "good read" on the Ayers interception but did not see Ayers

  22. There was a long time culture of defense not liking the O, and OL being the most clicky of all. I got cut for doing some thing stupid in junior on O and the DC brought me back mostly to piss off the oc. Practice was reeeaally fun that year. Funny enough I ended up playing ol too for the last 3 weeks and the next year. But he was let go after the year. The split was really bad in that locker room. Couple of the big us programs I visited it wasn’t nearly soo bad, especially party schools. Some teams seam to cultivate the D vs O culture though. Especially hs down south.

  23. So true even at the high school/university level not every player knows one another. I remember asking my son about certain offensive players (he played db), his most often times answer would be I don’t know I don’t know him. lol.

  24. Haha fair enough. Relatively young compared to Biggie and Wilson.

  25. Jones isn't really that young... he recently turned 29... but he's a pretty decent MLB option for at least the next year or two

I wonder if Suitor will say Our ford has the lead now that the other ford has been benched... again lol. It'll be interesting to see what MBT does. I honestly don't think he matches up vs our D well at all. I can see him performing even worse than ford did, and getting pulled for Ford in the 4th lol.

  27. I’m ok with MBT. We were getting killed on the run game because of the RPO. Without Fords threat to run I can trust the guys to key into the run a little better and our secondary is always outstanding. I didn’t see anything with MBT to indicate we’d be in trouble.

  28. Don’t know if you watched what was happening by… All of Thomas’ decent to good reps came as the 3 tech when woods was playing 0/1. Woods played sparingly, and the 30 front Jake on the nose sets are where we got gashed. When you align on the nose, getting back field penetration doesn’t mean you’ve succeeded as strange as that sounds. Because then both A gaps are wide open in the run game. That’s why rankin was gashing us with cut backs. 2 free guards roaming the second level at will. Thomas was able to push around korte, and shove him off to make a nice stop at the line once. But he wasn’t staying in the lane or pushing korte back into the pocket, he was twisting and wrapping around him. Jy had 6 dl dressed, 3 ends 2 ni dts, and we continually sub in an imp db with out using the NA player. He doesn’t have a choice. Tackles are not a success indicator. 20 tackles on 200 snaps isn’t good. How many sacks has the team recorded since june and where does it rank in the league? (Hint it’s last) Adam’s has 14 tackles 4 sacks in 4 less games with a fraction the snaps. Adam’s can also play any position and technique. Jake shouldn’t be off the roster, he should be rotating and used sparingly only as a 3 tech. When hes lined up off the line and it’s a passing play he can’t even run to the ol before the ball is thrown. Seriously.

  29. typical tackle too...play filtered into him basically stuck in a block or cause he had no penetration into pocket...Younger plays guys he is afforded...He doesnt get Adams or any other factor in the middle....and Schmeck is equally as inneffective....so yeah..Thomas gets reps sadly

  30. His one tackle was game changing.

  31. Yup...times and styles have changed...I was in rooms where some the defensive guys had dislike for offensive...and vice versa...and many instances where guys...on same team all year hardly knew other teamates...but good teams made it work, as when game time came they were all for one You need the tight close room now...to a point...even nowadays the over loyal treatment to some rubs guys...both yhoung and vet the wrong way a bit...won't say it publicly but they see when a guy is playing who shouldn't be and it doesn't always sit right...especially when you are dragging ass with your record

  32. I can’t picture players running through a paper streamer for Rick Campbell, let alone a wall. He always struck me as the film room type over the leadership type. I’ve seen O’Shea at least coach guys up on the sidelines. Campbell just stands there with that look on his face, like he’s trying to figure out if he trusted the fart too much.

  33. I expect MBT to play the entire game this Friday. I agree Ford is not a starting qb in this league. He's a super talented & athletic qb who can run but can't read a defense if his life depended on it. With Ford as their qb, the Elks receivers are just being wasted.

  34. Thats a good observation and why I say that the suggesting of Case...and keeping Mitchell....ain't gonna help us Wheatfall Has the body type and don't really see him needing to add anything mote than 5 pounds or so...Clercius if we actually use him and integrate him more can be just as effective if not better than Cottoy, as Clercius has crazy good hands What ails us more than anything from my perspectives the routes we have guys running...or at times the lack there of, as well as we have been showing minimal creativity, and next to no motion and receiver runs...or threat of it to build off and set things up as a diguise...We are very predictable, and teams know when we need to make a certain down or distance...know the handfull of 3..4 plays we gonna run...and hence why Lawler is always competing for balls or fed into double and triple coverage...and teams show mild attention to guys pre-snap and right after ZC first read and then just drop away and blanket where they know the 1 or 2 spots the ball is going...

  36. This free agency...we need to target the best DE and the best impact LB...no questions asked. Then a legit Canadian Oline guy if we don't swing a trade for one....all preferably 28 or under

  37. Thank you, inserted into my hip pocket with the rest of my chirps to pull out as appropriate. 🙂 I like the impression I give them that anyone can coach the Oilers: McDavid and Draisaitl coming off for a change, coach looks at them and says what are you both doing, get back out there!

  38. Just tell them to stop wasting McDavid's career.

  39. I'm just warming up my usual statements for this coming Jets season being surrounded by gross Oiler fans: This year is our year! No, then 2025/2026 year is our year! Crap the year after that is our year! Okay for sure the year after that year! 🙂

Yeah Ford isn't the guy to beat this Bombers team. We get so little pressure you're better off having a passer in there.

  45. The O is better when Lawler gets a big gain early. Then we can spread it around which we basically saw all 2nd half and on our scoring drives. Guys like Wilson Wheatfall Clercius and Demski as a run threat when not making nice catches for little gain all involved. If Zach forces balls trouble occurs. If he doesn’t it’s all good. Sometimes he focuses on 1 guy 2 much.

  46. Bottom line: I would say the Bombers have a decent chance of winning at least 3 more games Labour day is not a close game if ZC stays in - and that would not have been their first blow out Banjo Bowl was a good example of doing what it takes to win There are some many interesting intangibles with this team - so many different aspects that can show up in any game Making do with a patch work OL, Brady O churning yards on check downs, Ford interceptions, certain DBs with lockdown coverage, Sergio, outstanding kick coverage, ZC hitting more shots to Lawler or Demski, etc. The Als are trending downward, as are the Lions. Toronto and Ottawa are huge question marks. The Elks look interesting but also quite beatable Just my 0.02
