  1. Bryan Scott had some real beautiful weather during his visit to Winnipeg.

  2. In terms of injury, Lawler has played 19 games and missed 14 since his return. That said he has 78 receptions, 1372 yards and 10 Tds in those games. Wait, what was my point again? Oh yeah, keep both Dalton and Kenny

  3. Lawler will be here...and at a good price. Schoen will too...he will come at a discount due to injury and likely won't even be on the books until game 7. You can never have enough WR depth and we saw how it hampered us the first 8..to 10 games. Also...flash in the pan is a real thing...seen it with several teams. If there may be an odd man out..and as much as I hate even saying it but could be Woli. Tenure...birth certificate are against him but that being said I can see him doing the Bailey and playing for cheap as he loves it hear..and is a here or nowhere guy like Jeffcoat. Wr salaries have been corrected from the stupidity of 2021/2022 and for 2025 can easily see us getting Lawler and Schoen for 450k tops...and part of it not being on the books anyway.

  4. Played 3 years at Stanford before transferring to duke. He’s played 4 positions on the ol, just not centre. Hes a natural rt. 6’5 300 lbs was with the colts for a cup of coffee. Pretty highly touted out of hs but prioritized education. Academic allstar type. Also played basketball in hs.

  6. I just re-watched the game, and dear Lord. Im sorry Mr Lawler. I forgot how good you are. It wont happen again. There is no better receiver in the CFL. Period.

  7. While you've been persistently complaining about Kramdi throughout this season, he's been busy becoming a team leader on defence and working his way into all-star contention. I guess he's this year's version of Evan Holm.

  8. What’s crazy is there’s even more. His mom played d1 basketball and his dad played football at temple lol. Clearly a deep strong lineage of excelling both academically and athletically. Very impressive family.

  10. Forgetting how ******* good schoen was in his first 2 seasons.... you don't just let guys like that walk because of some shiny new toys who may not ever be as good as schoen is.

  11. Just nuts. Good for them. Takes hard work to excel at those levels, regardless of your pedigree.

  12. AHHA...YUP....U just convinced yourself! they are...but also aren't in terms of SMS hit.... Thats why I a proponent that if you have a Canadian on your roster for 5 yrs or more, you can have 50% of his salary exempt from cap hit...would help with continuity and keeping guys in the community and the team long term...would have all kinds of benefits for the team...community an league for that matter

  13. What you mean catching suicide passes from his qb? Neither Wilson or wheatfall can do what schoen can and honestly those two are more likely to make Lawler expendable.

  14. Schoen has had some rough luck with injuries for sure ... I would hesitate to call him fragile because he made a ton of fearless but vulnerable catches in heavy traffic last year. Safeties and LBs were teeing up on him. I doubt that anyone would have come through that pounding unscathed.

  15. Except he took less to come back here..... I dont think Kenny is going anywhere.

  16. Schoen and Lawler are not signed for 2025. 2025 is the last year on Demski's 3 year deal.

  19. These 3 Bomber rookie receivers really excite me - Wheatfall, Wilson, & Clercius (makes you wonder what will happen when Shoen comes back next year). I don't remember a year when we had 3 great rookie receivers like this. Our offense might be hard to stop!

  21. It was so frustrating watching that game. You'd think after nearly twenry weeks of training camp, exhibition & regular season games that the RedBlacks with Massoli at qb would have been more competitive than what we saw on Saturday. Nope, they just rolled over for the Riders. I've never been impressed with the way Dyce coaches that team. It's like they're satisfied with winning 8 games.

  24. 1 zach 432 6 tds historic game classic mop form 2 lawler/demski 247 yards 4 tds. 3 the ol. Dominant performance by the big boys. Zach had all day, Brady had great gaps hh Adam’s blowing up the short yardage play forcing a turn over block of the game. Lofton on the first deep td pass crunch of the game. Clercius on two elk after gaining a first. honourable mentions, Brady, wheatfall, kramdi, Ayers.

  25. Agreed. Gotta be smart to attend Stanford, basketball teaches good footwork, has notable size, and having a coffee with the Colts means he likes coffee.

  26. Pretty accurate but a bit out of date, that’s from when he was still like 276, before he went up. Played right side with duke mostly. He’s a solid 4 spot guy but rt is where he’s best.

  27. Played RT and RG in college. Lacks ideal foot speed for a tackle so likely a guard at the pro level according to DraftDiamonds. Here is a summary from them: Jake Hornibrook graduated from Stanford after four years with the Cardinals and looks to play his 5th season for Duke as a graduate student. Hornibrook has started at both guard spots during his time at Stanford, but started all 12 games last year on the left side of the ball. He possesses an elite frame for a guard, albeit underweight for the position. Hornibrook utilizes sufficient get off with above-average leg drive at the snap. He shows his intelligence by keeping his punch between the shoulders in pass pro and accurately targeting the inside shoulder to create holes in the run game. However, he lacks high-level foot quickness and lateral COD, allowing him to get caught flat footed in pass pro by speed rushers trying to go around him. Hornibrook does not play with the desired violence for the position, which can be seen in his struggles securing 2nd level blocks or a lack of explosive play strength, but his elite frame and knowledge of the position make him a perfect target for a team’s reserve offensive line unit. Yeah all 3 of those guys have really looked good. I think we likely let Schoen walk after this season because of this.

    Around the NHL 2024-25

Subban goes off on Pare for not respecting NHL's superstars. I understand his frustration but maybe use his platform to move it beyond the 'superstars' and come in hot no matter who you are, ie superstar or a fourth line specialist, there is no room in hockey for this.

Rijeka today. Was beautiful. Driving to Zadar today where the Adriatic Sea will be 23 or 24. I have no idea where my dad left this place for Winnipeg, I'm glad he did, but this place is absolutely beautiful and the food is insane. I can't recommend my ancestral home enough to you or anyone else.

  37. I saw @BBRT over there calling them out for it. Good on you man. I get that it’s sports, **** talking is a thing. I mean, we call riderfans inbred or worse (though quite honestly some of that should probably stop as well) . Point is, leave womens bodies out of it, this is 2024. As the father of a daughter, that crap gets me mad enough to sweat like someone from Saskatchewan trying to read.

  41. I think jettisoned salaries of biggie...Thomas...Wilson.. BA..Gauthier..Schoen essentially for first 3rd of season at minimum we should be fine. If Stan hangs em up..big cash there but I can't see him retired really...is Neuf back? With MCI I can see JA gone... I think we will be fine $$ wise

  45. Hot take... oshea treated this season like an NFL coach. Didn't play any vets in the pre season, let the guys battle for few spots. We were bad during the summer where it doesn't matter and started to gel when it does. Defense and special teams first and now maybe the offense. Injuries for sure forced the process too but I'm starting to believe there was a process.

  46. Bombers legit have 3 Canadian receivers and a Canadian running back - all of whom can not only start - but excel at their positions. That's my honk for today

  47. Gotta call out the real nice block that Lawler made to spring Brady on his TD. Just chipped his man a little bit and turned a 10 yard play into a 30 yard TD. Love to see that kind of game awareness from a star WR .
