Our MOP & MOC should be Brady O.

Anyone else getting tired of seeing this, "Milligan For MVP" campaign going on thanks mostly to the Riders fanbase, Glen Suitor & TSN??? Or, in other words the, "Anybody But Brady" movement dedicated to screwing him out again for the League's MOP Award? What about that kid that played when Fajardo was injured? he looked like a great long term prospect.

I like Duane Forde's idea that they need to stop having one nominee per team. As he mentioned Winnipeg has Brady, Demski and Ford who all deserve a most outstanding Canadian nod.

if I were boss of TSN and had unlimited power and budget: 1. Simulcast an all-24 view of the field. 2. Kill TSN Tempo. Broadcast needs to have a better sense for when the O is going tempo -- abort the replay and stick with live action. If you don't replay a big play right away, that's okay -- there's the spare time coming out of commercial for those highlights. 3. Personnel: On the panel, I don't think the problem is bad players, I think the problem is coaching. Whoever is responsible for setting the tone of the panel should be gone. I don't mind some jokiness and levity, I don't need the halftime to be a state funeral, but none of those folks is an actual funny person, and they should leave the funny business to actual comedians. In particular, Jim Barker is a guy who has coached professionally for decades. He should have endless freaking insight to offer but instead here he is the weakest link on a weak panel; they've got him doing this cringey loud uncle thing, made all the worse by his voice, which is more suited for silent movies than for TV commentary. Muamba stays, Sanchez stays -- we gotta have the D represented on the panel. I don't mind Milt. I don't mind Kate Beirness; I think she's fine. I don't even mind Farhan with has very strong "we don't want to pay to fly someone else out to the west coast so we'll just hire this local homer" energy. But please do cut Suitor and replace him with BLM. 4. I actually kind of like Straight Fire. I would've loved to have Milt as my hype man when I was playing touch football in Ottawa. But make it less cringey please. 5. Obvious one: Absolutely no interviews during game action. I don't care if it's the Pope or the Devil or the angry ghost of Sinead O'Connor -- if the special guest is performing / being honored at halftime, then veer away from the panel and show them doing their thing at halftime along with contextualizing remarks from the hosts. The interview of Grand Chief Settee during the Elks game was super awkward. "Today is a solemn day of remembrance and can you talk more about th---OOOOH hang on, Keric Wheatfall is gone! Touchdown!" 6. "Watch The Playoffs With Lapo" contest. I'm weird but I would love to hang with Lapo and listen to him dissect a game continuously in real time. I'll bring donuts, beer, poutine, whatever. If they're not going to have him in the booth every weekend, at least get some other significant use out of him. 7. Commentators have to be on top of substitutions and alignments. It happens all the time where someone leaves the game due to an injury and there's no remarks about who has subbed in and how it will impact the game play -- you only get that in exceptional circumstances where a team is down to its emergency OL or is juggling its secondary to hide its backups. There was a recent game with Micah Johnson playing emergency OL for the Roughriders. I really dug the iso on him and Suitor did some good work getting into how a the regular OL will try to help an emergency OL along. Do more of this please. Hell, do an iso package on a lineman every game. Let's see a closeup on how Big Stan operates, or a package of Drew Dejarlais run blocks. 8. Steal the "Block of the Game" idea from wbbfan's postgame threads. Blocks should be celebrated much more than they are. Recruit Vasectomy Manitoba as a sponsor; it's a natural. 9. obvious one 2: better balance of the game story with the game. The beauty of sports is that you discover the game story as the game is played; you don't pre-decide it.

I'd say Nichols....Then Ford and Bonds a close second...interchangeable raelly tho teams tend to avoid Bonds...a lot....Griffin factors in there too in the top 3....he's been lights out in all his roles....Holm has been...well Holm...decent...does some good things but has been beat a lot...and lacks physicality...I soooo wanna see him at Safety....All-star there Kramdi...tho "tchnically" a line backer....I will give him props with his work in the box and mucking it up close to line of scrimmage...He goes hard and has made impact plays.....but cover wise...scares the crap outta me and is not good in that role...Hence why I think Younger likes to throw in Griffin and Hallett/Kelly... BA when traditional safety playing over the top and in tandem is good...alone in space...man sometimes I wonder wtf he doing....yikes Bonds has been elite....most games you never hear his name....and even see him much in the TV view...there a reason for that

As far as Rourke goes, how the media in BC can vote for that guy after just 6 games & no td passes in the last 3 is just incredible. Adams should have demanded a trade out of there. He's too nice a guy so he gets walked on. And Campbell has trampled him to death.

Other than that one game against the Elks, Bonds has been pretty much a shut down corner.

Awards voting should have a 20% contribution from fans, 20% from league media, 30% from football ops, and 30% from the pa. Teams and players can’t vote for their own guys. Maybe have a group select the candidates from each team as well. Some former players/coaches, media types. Give them a mandate to select the top 10-12 candidates for each award across the league. So you don’t have guys being blocked by team mates.

I think if BC was still rolling....and a force...McCinnis has right dropped off...as his team has tanked...BO has gotten better and can be argued is the reason for the turn around, and it has infected others play...he should be a slam dunk for Canadian and MOP outta the West...if he's not...its a crime....tho I am sure he will rather enjoy hoisting the Cup again tho.....but still be a crime....In a league that likes to promote their Canadians...some at naseum...to over look one 2 yrs running is a shame and I would even say a blackmark on the league

expect 1 jobbing a year when the riders make the play offs. Ford/nichols should be the modp candidate from the west. Brady should be mop/moc. I could see mccinnis getting moc, and Milligan getting modp/mop though. The voting cfl media are the dumbest of the dumb. I could see beverette getting mtls nod for mop.

I liked him....I didnt know he got released when I saw we picked him up...but I do know he makes plays I can see him slotting in this week as he plays teams...has experience and if Ayers is out...we meed him to get game reps in the defence system...I like this pick up...and may offer more down the stretch than Ayers soley based on he's seen it...and done it before

Chris walker looks good, a real lt prospect which is nice. I really like notree. I wonder if he draws in right away with his ability to play teams? He isn’t an eye popping tester athletically. But he makes eye popping plays in every range. He can drop back, blitz, scrape to the run, spy, do any thing you want an Imp lber to do. Great great tackler, right mix of physicality and consistency with wrapping and tackling in good form not just hitting. Big wingspan too, and hs basketball player as well as de back then. Has the strength to jolt blockers on kick cover, but won’t be able to do it vs ol. He should fit in really well next to jones if we give him the shot.

Milligan doesn't deserve MODP and all of this MOP nonsense is going to 100% lead to him getting MODP as a "consolation" because Brady is going to win MOP.

generally if a DB is high in tackles....even knockdowns....can almost go as far as defensive plays....it indicates that they are, or their side of the field is being targeted. It's not like he is racing across the field breaking up the other HB/Corners battles...stats like have been said here are misleading, unless they are certain stats...like completion % against...Targets in red zone...TD's given up...etc....tackles are a poor sta...especially when not shown where it was....at l.o.s...5 yards past....2 yards behind...after 1st down gained.....converted 2nd and long....the list goes on...show me those stats and I will show you who are legit all-stars We track them at team, and scouting and recruitment level....Pretty sure the CFL "stats team" don't and I know our for most part brain dead "media" dont...or even think about that...they just look at 2 things...Int...tackles... Sask doesn't deserve a home game....their pityfull support the last few yrs being a good indication....BC vs SASK if played here as a neutral site would draw more than either place....for the sole fact we would boo thand razz the crap outta both teams affecting their offences...

I also remember Milt saying a few things on the broadcast, like showing up at someone's house he remarked, and Kate telling Milt he can't say that and him saying he can and the deathstare that Kate gave him afterwards. its was...embarrassing...and sad....definitely cringe worthy Even last week with that unkown country singing kid....who effin cares...focus on the game Even the Orange shirt game...Yeah I get it...they wanna talk about it...etc..etc....well put together a nice pre-game vignette or some actual feature...not during the game while it was actually in play...as we scored a beauty of a TD....Thats just bush league...99.9% of the viewers tune in to watch the game...get some interesting stats and knowledgeable insight...some to even better understand the game....not to see Suitor ooze in his pants over a country singer...a sideline interview with anyone not related to the game being played....or any other stupid skit they do ...Do a pregame show each game with that all in it...not the garbage that Kate and Co. attempt

Yeah Dunigan for as much as he will just fanboi out over plays still has that qb eye and he tells you what the qb saw to make the play happen. Lapo is good at explaining how it worked too. Guys like suitor are just clownshoes. The most basic catchphrases "that'll move the chains!" And sticks to the predetermined story line of the night at all costs even if the game is going in a totally different direction.

We play our butts off and send another message. to the league that Cup goes thru us....then a nice bye week to lick any wounds....then a nothing game in Mtl to close out the season...let key guys get some reps to stay engaged and sharp...plus allows the subs moocho reps.....then we wait as the other 2 teams beat each other up 2 times (this week, and in playoffs) just to have a chance to come into our barn with us being rested...prepared....fingers crossed totally healthy, and in front of an insane play-off crowd and unreal atmosphere....I like them chances of trip #5 in a row to the Cup
