  1. FWIW, the Argos dressed 9 D Linemen. Shock and awe on your O Line was clearly coach Din's gameplan. I'm not defending them as an elite unit who just had a bad night, but once the depth charts came out it should've been obvious that the plan was to rotate through a fresh Holley/Brinkman/Williams/etc and blow away whoever was unlucky enough to be opposite them while Flo, Robbie and Captain America run riot. Good game if you like watching defences. Reffing was woeful both ways.

  2. Was it over when we started 0-4? Was it over when we dropped to 2-6? It ain't over now, 'cause when the goin' gets tough, the tough get goin'. Who's with me? Let's go! Come on!

  3. And yet if not for an uncharacteristically poor showing from Castillo the Bombers would have walked out with a win...

  4. People acting like TO blew them out lol. They scored 1 TD on the defense. 1. After all their great starting field positions. The offense was brutal in the first half and made mistakes in the 2nd to limit their scoring, but let's not pretend like the game was over in the 2nd quarter.

  5. We’re running into the same “time to take the horse to the glue factory” issue with Neufeld as we had with banged up Bighill last year. We should be playing the 3 Americans on OL and if we can roster 2 Canadian backups, great. Neufeld’s knee isn’t right, let him sit. Whitehead is clearly banged up, we have two returners and a pile of receivers on PR but we’ll keep running the guy with a groin tear who can’t move out there.

  6. Suitor is almost intolerable. Between the talk of 2022 Rourke and his pumping up of his favorites ie Lee (who was awful tonite) Milligan and Rourke, hes single handedly making tsn broadcasts suck

  7. Bang on in terms of the Argos plan. Its frustrating that we seemed to come in with no plan to deal with this and then there was a lack of adjustments.

  8. We have to win three in a row to win the Cup, so I say we start that with Montreal and finish it off against Montreal in Vancouver.

  9. Last night wasn't a good showing but the OL is better than you're giving them credit for and have showed well for most of the 8 game run.

  10. This. We won 8 games in a row. Our defense only allowed 14 points last night. There's still a lot to like about this team. Take care of business against Montreal and it's then 1 win at home to get to the Grey Cup. If we fudge it up it becomes harder but not unattainable at all. We have some exciting football games ahead of us.

  11. The sourness is just because last night is still fresh... We'll get over it.

  12. A smack* yes There are ways to counter what the Argos did yesterday. And the crazy thing is, with the usual version of Castillo, the Bombers probably win. We sometimes forget that it's a damn tough sport to play. There aren't that many good teams. BC is a dumpster fire. The Riders are starting nickel and dime Harris - that's the competition in the west.

  13. Bombers started 2-6, they aren’t supposed to have a chance to finish first. Still in control of finishing there. Als having looked so hot lately. Sask has been lucky playing teams as they are bottoming out at the end of the season. Bombers can go to Regina and beat the Riders again if they need to.

  14. Absolutely insane that VAJ didn't start the 2nd half. Needed a spark, and instead you gave them a moist paper towel.

  15. What a dreadful showing by the Lions, people in BC have not come back to BC place and this wont help

  18. You can only do that so much until teams do to us what they've (and we've) done to BC, Hamilton. Drop out 8-9 and just blanket the 3 guys we do have in the route. Have to make D's cover the width of the field and keep the vertical threat. So really it's time to play the best OL possible, focus on making better reads on pressure pre-snap and adjusting routes/plays accordingly. Dealing with pressure in general and pressure with zone coverage especially has been a major weakness this year. Collaros is extremely out of sync with receivers in terms of what their reads are vs pressure. I'd like to see a lot more power running, press A gaps, inside trap blocking...and then playaction off that. Use strengths to cover weakness.

  19. Use more heavy sets or leave MCI out there a lot more than they do, allowing Brady to slip out of the backfield as a relief valve.

  20. Think it would be a good idea to bring in Randolph or another import lineman onto the roster when we are playing teams with strong defensive lines. Or maybe just permanently. We start enough Canadians. Also, hopefully Wallace can make a return.

  21. Might be time to let Wilson throw a ball to at least keep the defense honest on those sneaks. Or, just turn it over Dolegala going forward.

  22. They don't give out awards for who the best defensive player in the league has been over a 3 season stretch, but if they did, Wynton would walk it.

  23. We have pilons at guard and a mid tier right tackle at pass protection. We have not matched up well against TO for years...they are the only team that beat us physically. We do whatever we need to get to the show. I like our chances in a dome.

  24. I'll say this - Bombers know what it takes to get to the GC. That's the X Factor. They did not show it vs Toronto this weekend. But they know what it will take.

  25. I'm with you, Rebus. It's obvious that the Bombers need to do things that will help the OL, especially against stiffer competition. We have a shut down D, especially the secondary, and no one has a better QB.

  31. Why is VAJ not in the game? Heaven forbid BC have competent quarterbacking. Actively trying, in game, to avoid a QB controversy.

  35. Riding Rourke during this slide will go down as one of the all time greatest coaching blunders. Why are TSN talking as if the Bomber have first wrapped up?

  39. You gotta pull Rourke. He's either pressing way too hard or has no awareness out there right now.

  40. Like the late Earl Warren. ... But seriously... The surprise in the announcers voices taking about Riders marching the field and settling for FGs.... As if this isn't the thing Trevor Harris is most famous for...

  42. That was a blown call on the field and by the CC, Collaros's foot still had green between the sideline and he touched out past the marker
    2 points
  43. The Bombers started to have some success when they went to shorter routes and quicker passes. Then Collaros fumbled while holding on to the ball too long. A fault with Collaros is his propensity to throw deep and hang on to the ball. Should have changed the game plan earlier if not for the whole game. Oline was dreadful and Buck got outcoached.

  46. This .. and even though we didn’t have the best angle, it looked pretty clear that the ball was past the marker when he touched out of bounds. The ONLY possible way it was short is if Zach touched the sideline with his foot as he was running. Blue coloured glasses I know but we got jobbed because TSN doesn’t invest in cameras / camera angles at the games.

  50. Darvin was soooo underrated, and vital part also to our turn around and how our receiving group goes about it's business...even today....he was a huge influence Never liked how he went out here, should have been better in my opinion....Or even have a one day signing and retire as a Bomber and have him up in front of a big crowd....
