Missed the signings yesterday. I’m not sure what he has left in the tank but man I love some Nick Taylor. Watching him dance around after knocking down BLM’s deep shots in the 19 WSF is burned into my brain.

I agree as well....but part of the better coaching part...was putting the right guys on the roster too....and possibly better preparing the ones who were 2023...at minimum 5 guys who were too hurt to play....and then having a couple guys on sidelines who could have...not step on field....thats on coaching Removing a seasoned play-off vet like Rose for no real particular reason as he was not playing poorly.....thats on coaches ZC against the Argo's in 2022....was very apparent he was not able to play at a level required due to injury...and yet...was kept in....again...poor coaching....if anything they should have let the n=backup get 1 or 2 series to see if it added a spark Dressing an undermanned and underwhelming dline for that game....who puts out that roster?....the coach I won't go on about it but beyond some the underwhelming performance by some of our guys...our coaching further handi-capped things....hope we have learned

when I look at bad in game play...wth broken coverage....poor qb decisions....missed assignments...I look toward the lead up prep and how staffs I have been part have had taken each group...ran thru scenarios...all the alterations they may see...and how you adjust and make sure guys are all on same page and are aware of things they may not have even considered....which can minimize and for most part eliminate busts...etc....I am of the belief we don't coach that up enough and Osh puts too much faith in the guys in the room and the vets are on top of it and doing it....hands off at times is good to a point, but you also have to still be that coach and be certain all the boxes are checked...T's crossed and i's dotted...He has himself even admitted that he doesn't do that....maybe he should....The TD that won it against us in last yr's Grey Cup was Houston lack of seeing things...and knowing that pattern...Rose would have easily sniffed that out....but Rose was in civies

Imo, Taylor was brought in for the very specific reason of being the insurance policy of BA can't go in the playoffs. I highly doubt he is brought in for any other secondary function at this juncture of the season.

i would hope....tho some the outliers can still come back if on the PR... Person is the guy who as soon as we grabbed him I wanted inserted....I believe he is gonna be one the answers for the 2025 starting unit...maybe he will be that late season add this yr...he's legit....I was pumped when I saw we picked him up

I'd prefer Wilson just stay on the IR... Ayers back would be nice but Coles fills that spot nicely too... Getting Fox in the lineup would also be a nice boost... but unfortunately I feel it will be at the expense of Adams.

whats outlandish about bassically poor coaching decisions cost us likely 2 cups....and if were not the sole reason...were very integral in it I praise Osh where it's warranted....but I also call out and will lambast the stupid stuff too....that in many area's he still dos and hasn't learned from An exceptional roster of players who were top of the league in their prime glossed over a lot of it....pages have turned...time has moved forward and some the glossing isn't happening now....and he has not learned or realized it...thats all I am saying....and for all that has been accomplished....a whole hell of a lot more could have....and easily too....I played....coach....and train....and every person I have been involved with...past..present....and I am sure in future have learned...evolved and adjusted.....it's not hard to do when you drop some of the stubbornness and belief your way is only way...and I have crossed paths with many a stubborn hard headed people in the game....You can still play it "your way" and still tweak and augment...nobody will look down on you....but majority will applaud

Completion percentage was way lower back in fluties time, and ints were generally higher too. That's going to skew qb rating stats in a big way as they seem to favour playing a "clean" game. But hey, someone wants to go ahead and say Chad Kelly is comparable to Flutie go ahead and fill your boots.

we were....1 inch and Nichols doesnt make that play....if Masoli was in all game too....prob a different outcome as well. Nobody is taking away anything, but in sports...and high levels if you have ever played at times luck comes into play...alot....you can't deny it in any sport...and like they say....Good teams are lucky more than not People can applaud for perceived good things with no problem....but how dare someone criticize in what a lot of times is blatant mismanagement/coaching/playing/attitude...whatever it is....You can agree...disagree....dispute....challenge...discuss....interpret however you wish...not just you but all of us..thats the beauty of open discussion on an open fanboard......but it's pretty clea in several regards that some.....red carefully here before you get your knickers in a twist...but some of our success was in spite of some real poor decisions...while we had the good fortune of having the best roster....and when we went to the well too many times since Cup #2 and didnt have foresight to maybe transition guys, and better maintain an active game ay roster and PR...while riding some aged out vets, and some "good guy" players who really...were not adequate for the roles some were given....well what we have....a couple shiny reg-season records....but 2 cup losses ...and then games this yr where we have struggled...a lot...look nothing like the prime 2019-2022 squads, None of that is an outlandish take at all....it's right there in front of us to witness. A team...player...and yup a coach can be good to great and have serious flaws....pretending they are not there with only support to dispute it is "yeah buts" from Cup wins now pushing 3 yrs ago....to me is pretty outlandish I support the team and organization as much as anyone....season ticket holder and also give 2 tickets away most games to local youth....and give respect as much as anyone when and where warranted....but also won't pull punches and call things out...you dont have to like what i say....and I encourage discussion and point/counter point with factual and pertinent points....every story has 2 sides to it.

I watched most of all of em this weekend, but I only really cared about the BC/Montreal game... And that ended being a nothing burger. The offseason is long enough... I'm not going to waste a second when they're in season. I just ******* love this league...

The level of play is greater than the Flutie era in Toronto??? Please explain that one. I'd say 95% of the players in that era could play now especially the qbs.

It was a factor in our losses for sure. The only factor? Nope. There were multiple reasons we lost that game and most of them were not on the coaching. My objection is that you guys say that with better coaching we would have won...and it's only partially true..we also needed about a half dozen brain cramps, busted coverages, and poor QB decisions, back as well. Had we played a clean game up to the level of our lineup we had it's quite possible that roster usage may not have mattered

I was referring more to Bridges..McGhee and whatever other Import rookie they have kicking around We have been well versed the last 2 yrs of veteran blunders....or maybe I should rephrase...veteran decile and inabilities now....Taylor tho...has always been pretty damned sound assignment wise...but I hear what u saying....thats where coaching needs to be on point in prep yup...I know people...well some are tired of hearing about it...don't wanna believe it...thiunk its a personal vndetta...etc..etc....but it's a thing...it happened...was key to our flops....and hasn't totally disappeared yet....and I fear it shows up...again....hope we learned

The interesting things about Wright (the Wright signing?) is that not only is he a big bugger (6'5" and 225lb), but he is also a punter/place kicker, but who knows how good he is? Still, it would be nice to have that kind of option in an emergency, ad we would have a lot less "roughing the kicker" penalties.

One could easily argue that because you are trying to compare two different eras of QBing. Compare Kelly to his peers, and compare Flutie to his and then you will grasp what people are saying about Kelly. Kelly has won exactly zero championships and stats wise was the 2nd best QB last year, and is very average in comparison to his peers stats wise this year. No one here is saying that Kelly isn't a good QB, but he is absolutely no shoe in for the HOF either.

Don't know whythey just don't put Taylor at safety....he's olde...but still has elite speed...also knows all the nuances of CFL offenses so back there he would know exactly where to flow too...no need to make 3 moves to satisfy 1 injury...thats just bad management no matter how much a coach or players say they know all the positions Taylor at safety...Bonds and Ford at corner....Anders Holmvic at HB and Griffin as the all around ace.....easy peasy

VAJ always puts up the big numbers in the cozydome ... too bad for him but he'll have to win November games in Sask and Wpg without much of a run game in order to get back to the dome for the Grey Cup...

I have no ignorance of what's going on. I just don't feel the need to rehash criticisms or praise over and over again. It is a fruitless exercise that ends up just annoying everyone. I tend to skew towards positivity when it comes to MOS but not over the top. I just don't feel that the mistakes he has made have outweighed all the great coaching he has also brought to the table. I doubt you find many Bomber fans who do, even those that are very knowledgable about the game. I also don't make outlandish claims to justify my opinion. I respect your opinion a lot Booch but sometimes the hyperbole in your comments is over the top and it ends up taking away from your argument instead of adding to it.

His athletic skills have never been in question, and he has the advantage of having a damned good coach, O-line and offensive coordinator.

Reffing in the cfl has never been a bigger joke. It’s sad. thats true, and that’s true of zach, brown vaj, and rourke. The thing is to be a mop, or a hof you have to be consistent with the mop games. None of the QBs in the league are any kind of consistent. Prior to 19, we had Reilly and blm in the elite tier of QBs. And we had less consistent guys like zach, Harris, and nichols a tier below. For two years zach was top tier. Right now, every qb is 2nd tier and lower. Which with the hash change is sad.

I'm not sorry for the way I feel. Kelly should never have been allowed to resume his career in the CFL, he shouldn't be "on pace" for anything in this league. I recognize that other platers with criminal records have been allowed to continue to play but Kelly violated league policy within the confines of the team facility. I don't believe if this was any team but the Argos the league would have allowed him to play.

well...really the Als were best last yr....Argo's yr before....and truthfully we were lucky as hell to come out with a 2021 win too....we had good records in season...and were able to gloss over some faults...but many of those same faults are still there....but are talent isn't...and our record reflects it...we have a lotta work to do despite all the back slapping and glad handing of our team...ie...Coaches....we have transitioned a bit, but anyone with half a brain knows we were forced to due to injury and if they didn't occur we would have made next to no change....We squeezed every drip outta some of our players and are still trying to now, and our coaching failed us in consecutive Cups....and I have not a lot of faith that they won't again this playoffs....but we will soon find out who won last 2 cups?....making them the be st???....no? for all the accolades...thats a reflection on coaching and prepardeness sadly...and hope I wrong but I have a unsettling feeling that come play-offs....some of it will reer it's ugly face again hopefully.....but talk is cheap if you don't have the tools to enforce things sounds like we actually doing some coaching with urgency and have closed the country club aspect

Nobody plays at a HOF level with only 25 games. That doesn't make any sense. HOF level is doing that for many years. It is about being great for a long time. Not great for a season and a half.

Classic problem. Doesn't always bode well for teams to lock up playoff spots early. I really want that West final date here.
