  3. Its been a great run and something that myself and likely many here never thought possible prior to 2019 and its magic.

  4. Dynasty or Disappointment? Why the two extremes? They can not be a Dynasty and still not be a Disappointment. These last 5 years have been FUCKINGAWESOME!!!. Maybe not a Dynasty... but certainly a football org worthy of all of our Fandom (good and bad). Dynasty... it's like trying to define a historical era... you can't until it's run it's course. Years later we can look back and see if these were the years of a Dynasty or if they were just some MF'n awesome years... But Disappointment? Sure, there has been some Disappointingvthings that has happened and will undoubtedly happen in the near future... But, Nah- they, as an Org are not a Disappointment- you know they care, put in the work, always try to put a great product on the field and tryvto make a great fan experience.... Just enjoy the run with all its highs and lows...- it's a gooder.

  6. The moment he ripped into Bob Irving for daring to be critical after yet another embarrassing showing is example 1 in how not to deal with your media. Irving is a hall of fame broadcaster who polished innumerable turds for that team while still maintaining a hell of a lot of objectivity. You disrespect him who has literally seen it all in the cfl you disrespect your entire fanbase in the process.

  9. Some say 5 years. For me it's been 8. This team has been anywhere from very competitive to all time great in that time. Already a dynasty imo as well. I know people want championships for that label, but in today's CFL this level of consistency is pretty improbable.

  10. I really really love reading great writers and listening to great story tellers. Ed Tait is as good and talented as any writer you will find in media, in any era. His narrative voice in writing is superb. He’s one of the few newsmen who is as good on radio and tv. Back in the day at the freep, his reviews and write ups of practices and camps were extraordinary. He’s asked the team smart, hard, thought provoking questions. I totally get why he took this job. He gets to do what he loves all the time with all the job security. He pulls his punches now and is a part of the guys who was taking it easy in the time before. Bob did it too, turner. Also, the reason the media is broken, is not entirely their fault. We all know how badly it was broken by Kelly. It’s never bounced back from that, and the success brought more fluff and relaxation rather than raising the level of coverage.

  11. Oh, yeah, totally. I don't think they're better than their replacements.

  12. I only want to add, that, one of the most memorable touchdown passes ive seen live in my life, and most important, was Strevelers 2nd quarter touchdown pass to Harris. It was at that moment I started to believe we had it in the bag, and we came to win that day. **** I wish I could relive that evening.

  13. Are you seriously comparing Strevy's development to a guy with 3 times the experience/play time? Fajardo was already in the CFL before Strevy even made the switch to full-time QB in college so yeah he should be ahead of him in progression. Fajardo: 45 games in college & 124 games (73 as a starter) in the CFL. Strevy: 23 games (as a QB) in college & 54 games (12 as a starter) in the CFL & NFL.

  14. Looking like a warm above average November day. Should bode well as Zach not great in colder weather. Around plus 14. Should be ok. That’s way above normal.

  15. Can't claim to have ever been in a professional sports team's dressing room, but I think all people need to do is look at their own work places and see the dynamics and clashes that happen there. Then amp it up when you add in the fact you have 50ish high performing athletes with the egos and belief they have in themselves to get to this level.

  16. Coaching will win this game...or lose it for us.....straight up...player skillwise across the board...experience....smarts/unselfishness....we are head and tails better But as in the past...and hopefully not foreshadowing anything here but coaching and roster makeup/not using guys dressed has been our demise, Mace is not an intelligent coach at this time...he's just not...Mueller is a CIS qualified O.C and well Harris...is Harris...a perennial loser how has never took a team anywhere....Dont see it happening now But if we get out coached here....or start out out schemed...and either show no willingness to adapt....or just have no answers to it, and have guys standing on sidelines all game and take zero to minimal snaps whilewe play the snot outta guys who just shouldn't even be out there...then shits gotta change for 2025

  18. Another part of it is how many players from this run are going to be in the CFL HOF, BB Ring of Honour, or BB HOF. There's a LOT of guys that are going to receive at least some accolades when their careers are done.... And that factors into the dynasty thing.

  21. Christ go compare Dru Browns first game and Chris Strevelers first game and tell me how much quicker Brown developed. Again it comes down to the coaches made streveler into a gimmick in his 2nd season and doubled down on it this year. Dude can play qb.

  24. Also the riders secondary isn't what i would call dangerous... grabbing a few into while also giving up a **** ton of passing yards is not really something to crow about. Yet more trash analysis of the league. Cfl needs.to get out of it's own way sometimes.

  29. A few games ago when they interviewed MOS right after the game and hearing him dedicate his admiration for JT (200 CFL games or something) I really think it brings great enjoyment for MOS seeing JT on the field continue to play the game he loves. JT is his type of player, unsung hero type. Unfortunately this blinds him from JT bring past his expiry date.

  33. He's no longer a raw rookie and has little to show for the 4 years he wasted waiting for an opportunity in the NFL. Believe it or not he's fallen a half mile behind Cody Fajardo's progress in developing from a short yardage QB with no hope into a starter, and is unlikely to ever make that progression. If he had stayed healthy this season and Zach had not, how comfortable would the mafia be riding him into the playoffs against the Riders, Als or the Argos? I think they would choose to start Dolegala in that situation, not going to beat any of those teams grinding out 17 points.

  35. he was a raw rookie....with basically 2 yrs of legit starting QB play in college.....as a rookie....he has 6 yrs under his belt now with experience...training and learning from some great QB's....allowed to play....and this is key here...and actual QB.....any assessment or prediction is unrealistic at best....he showed great flashes here before...spent 3 yrs in NFL and did some real good stuff....as he was allowed to...again this is key here...Play as an actual QB.... We get our hands back on him and instantly neuter and stagnate him........Plus he is a winner....has heart....and is a leader....and a guy who can if given the chance put a team on his back and do whatever he has to in order to win....I'd be giving him a chance next yr...a rral chance not this gimmick bullshit

  36. Yup, young QBs make mistakes. Qbs when given opportunities to develop....do.

  37. 7 TD's 11 INT's while averaging less than 200 passing in the 7 games he started is far from just fine. Its putrid. You'll never convince me that he can be a serviceable starting QB in the CFL. Ill believe when i see it(and i highly doubt i ever will).

  38. being connected....and knowledgeable....and also "connected" are 2 different beasts Some of the insider info you will be given will be canned and minimal and almost at times a big nothing burger when you wear a media badge or are lumped into that pile. The real insider info or insight is connected to guys still attached to the game and have the connections not based on media....huge difference People see stuff from the outside...assume a lot....and even also just tow the line and believe a narrative put out by media....as it came from "the team" and believe it as 100 percent gospel....as for most part if a player is asked on record he as well is gonna tow the line...say the "right" thing and not rock a boat ...throw anyone under the bus....or question a decision...etc... It's the trust with connections from being non-media where you get...hear...see the off the record stuff that is the real vibe....and trust me as much as the media trumpets it....fans glorify and defend it....sound bites seem to support it......it's never all koombya and lollypop and marsh mellow clouds....and if you believe it is...I have a bunch of stuff to sell you all

  42. Dynasty or Disappointment: For the Bombers to reach dynasty level I think they would need to win the Cup this year and then at home in 2025. Sure winning the Cup this year would be awesome but I feel that there will be so much focus on the Bombers winning at home that it would be disappointing if they don't. 4 Grey Cups in 6 years would be a dynasty.

  46. I’m sure TSN will spin it that it’s a sellout because the Rider fans are coming. But we all know this was going to be a sellout no matter who we played.

  47. Let me give my thoughts on why kolankowski plays centre instead of Eli.... kolankowski can only play centre, Eli can backup all the interior positions AND given how often our offense uses 6 OL, Eli can play that position where kolankowski can not. So in the world Mike O'Shea lives in where there are no backups, everyone is a starter, he doesn't view Eli as the backup offensive lineman, he sees him as the starting 6th OL and they just have offensive looks where that position doesn't play. Roster management has been an issue for Oshea since day 1 and anyone who doesn't see it is putting their head in the sand. Great coach, wouldn't want anyone else, but his roster management needs to improve.

  48. Id love to see many guys dominate, the guy who really needs to is Zach. 300 yards, no ints, and a couple tds, then let the D do their thing. Zach has to have a good game outdoors, he just drops off come playoffs. We don't have Janarion to help on special teams, don't have Streveler for those guaranteed punch ins, Brady will be a key focus for Sask, Zach needs to ball out.
