  1. That deep ball right off the bat with Zach testing out the glove hand has to go down as one of the dumbest ******* things I’ve ever seen. And if that’s not coaching, I don’t know what it is. That should be so quickly addressed on the sideline before they take the field. Hey man, you’ve never worn that thing before, let’s feel it out before we sling it deep.

  2. Not every one will be ready for this and that’s understandable. But we will definitely need a shot of positivity around here this off season. With that in mind here are some things I look forward to with the bombers in a positive light only. Terry Wilson. I was extremely impressed by how poised and in control he was when he came in. Stepped up in the pocket, kept his eyes down field when pressured and threw with authority. He has Great arm talent, and athleticism. But the mental side of him looks legit too. I look forward to seeing him progress next year. another Canadian draft. We really cleaned up in this last draft, which was a strong draft to be fair. So I don’t expect us to replicate that success, but adding another piece or two to the AR will be huge for our NI depth. On that note, our rookie Canadians did better than I expected this year. I can’t wait to see big kev with another tc under his belt, think Wallace will be poised to take a starting spot next year, mci came a very long way as a blocker too. I hope to see a good chunk of pre season reps for mci to play rb so we can see what he has and let him develop. He went from a guy out of place on an AR to a solid FB in one season and that’s pretty good. Kelly, I think he has a sneaky good chance of becoming our starting S next year. Imagine 3 starting Canadian dbs? Never thought I’d see that on a good team. tyjuan garbutt really turned a corner late. He isn’t the instant dominant pass rusher we need, but he’s a damn good two way end who plays with discipline. Imo he’d be excellent as a di rotational back up next year. Ayers and Cole. I’d love to see more of Ayers at mac and Cole at wil. Both guys are monsters on teams just scratching at their potential but are still a lot of fun to watch. Devin adams. Such an incredible athlete and raw talent. Gonna be awesome to watch him in his first full camp. Woods. Our best dl for my money all year. Guys a beast who can play a bunch of inside positions and some edge especially in the 30 front. Only 25 years old and the sky is the limit. can lawson and schoen the return. Nuff said. Love what both these guys bring. Owen Hubert. Really over achieved early. Hit the rookie wall hard. But showed a ton of lunch box type stuff that could make him a very valuable rotational piece next year. The majority of the secondary as well. Holm and Kramdi stepped up big, griffin and bonds were excellent Nichols was my modp for us and ford legit would’ve been moc in the league most years. How do you improve on that? Well Nichols is the only guy at 30. So another year could bring improvement for each of those guys. JY. Through some early struggles he really turned a rag tag group of guys into an elite pass defence. I can’t imagine what more he has in store with a year of growth and prep.

  3. let's give some props to Pokey Wilson too. in a situation where he's #3 or 4 that's a dangerous weapon to have to deal with. Everyone is down after last night, understandable but there's a lot to like going forward and now it's up to Walters to make some smart moves in the offseason and this team can continue to roll.

  4. They still won the west and made a 5th straight Grey cup... they still had a top defense throughout the year and even in this game... it's not as dire as all that, some tweaks needed. Move on from some older bodies and bring in some good replacements and you're still a contender.

  5. I hate to be the one to do it but, people need to get off of demski's back. The kid was playing on one ankle and the fact that there was no better option than him isn't his fault.

  6. I'm happy with 5 straight appearances...not the recent results tho We have issues...and success aside...a lot stems at HC He needs to change some his ideals and beliefs...and if he can't or won't...we will see similar results...a lot of good but failures when it matters...3 yrs in a row is got to have a reason...thinking otherwise is asinine

  7. It's a shame the 3 cup losses overshadow what has been the best 5 years of football this organization has delivered in decades. Yeah it sucks losing the big one but I've had loads of fun/enjoyment watching this team play the last 5-6 years. Changes obviously need to be made but I'll be damned if I'm gonna let this loss ruin what was a great come back season for another division title and the overwhelming success we've enjoyed over the last several years. As someone old enough to remember the entire length of the drought (and no cup for Deiter) the last 5 years have been like a dream. Hopefully the org will make the needed changes to put us over the hump next year and we take it all at home.

  8. Everyone knows Demski was offside on the Wheatfall miss, right? We are just choosing to ignore it? People making excuses for Demski's ankle but he dropped a couple and went offside twice. Terrible game for him.

  9. I am over my hissy-fit and have apologized to my wife, so am allowed back on my laptop. This was far crueler an outcome than previous years. Last year Collaros was spiraling downwards in the playoffs and the team was lucky to get to the Cup game and I didn't think we had a chance. This year, Collaros looked like he exorcized his demons in thrashing the Riders, but choked even worse than 2023. And the sub-par players from last year were all brought back to be starters. The only coach who should not be afraid to answer his phone is Younger.

  10. All in all...another disappointment, and there are several reasons for it again...constants if you may call them that and really easily solved...and many won't like hearing this and will blindly disagree, but it's easily fixed if Osh would pull his head partly out his arse. The onus this off-season is on Walters and his team to sign and bring in the talent...and also part ways with some guys...even if the coach disagrees. I cannot see Miller being happy, nor he wanting a major bedshitting at home next yr in the Cup...let alone not even getting to the Cup... Thru necessity and not choice we have had to get younger and thats a plus...there are some solid pieces here now to go with keeping the right vets...and thats they key part of it...right vets. And by vet i mean a guy who's been here this yr and before Lawler and Schoen..Strev...Wilson...Clercius...BO...Demski...Woli ..MCI...Wallace....Bryant...Randolph...Eli......WJ...Nichols...Bonds...Ford...Holm...Griffin...Kramdi...Kelly...Cole...Garbutt....Woods....Adams...Lawson...was on fence with Haba but he stepped up so deserves another shot......Ayers...Hubert..,,Samson...Chris Smith deserves another shot....Person....Qb Wilson....Hubert deserves another camp....I'd love to see Notree back....thats the core we need to focus on retaining....fill in around that...everyone not mentioned who wasn't primarily a ST guy should not be back...and saves up some serious SMS bucks...and makes us younger...hungrier....better On the fence with ZC and his hefty contract....he will be another yr older and do we want another season of stats only to stumble in play-offs? It seems to be the trend and not a one off.... We have the guys to maintain a core like we seem to like to do...but a younger core....and we need to go that route...and this is totally up to our HC now to do the right thing(s) We are set up for continued sustained success....but we need to bring the right players along for it...We need a stud interior dlineman to augment what we have...we need a legit difference maker linebacker...we need a real returner....we need another proven Canadian offensive lineman...we need a real punter....I see 5 dire needs...which isn't a lot in the grand scheme....and the biggest thing we need to do is construct the roster and the PR aa an entity that compliments and covers it....no more carrying wasted spots....or guys all yr that will never bump anyone off...we seem to do that a lot too And the biggest key...we need to dress and play the best players we have...regardless of birth certificate and or position...and if that means moving pieces around and switching ratio spots...so be it

  11. The feeling I can’t shake is that it seems like Osh decided in May what our path to a GC was and he didn’t deviate from that all year No ability to adjust … to anything, really

  12. Walters needs to be ruthless this off season. Time to channel his inner Don Matthews or Wally Buono.

  13. Horrible punter and horrible returner. That part is 100% on the front office.

  14. Buck has to go. That was the worst play calling in a grey cup I've ever seen.

  15. I can't believe he even said that...we got our coaching assess handed to us 3 straight grey cups

  16. Give your MOP a chance to take the game over. We put it on 33's shoulders when he was here, let's give Brady the same respect.

    All things considered...

I’ll be surprised if Zach sees it that way

  18. I don't understand the series that Wilson got when they were trying to stop Collaros' hand from leaking. You don't let your backup QBs throw all season, you have the MOP in the backfield, you get the ball on the 30 with a huge play from Willie after the let down on that punt block, you are down... 17-13 I think at that point so a TD puts you in the lead, and you dial up 4 straight passes, 1 of which should have been picked in the end zone on an underthrow, and another that was a bit of an overthrow.
    6 points
  19. Yeah in all honestly if they had any doubts about his ability to throw I don't know why you don't just roll with Wilson. He looked fine confidence wise when he was out there. As much as I'll defend the coaching here, there's a "go down with the ship" culture with the vet players where if you questioned O'Shea on that he'd be like "but that's our QB." And then you'd be like, but he doesn't have a throwing hand...but it doesn't seem to matter. We're just going to lose the game with that guy throwing 3 more pick sixes because he's the guy. And that is completely bonkers. There's no adjustment to "what's our best chance to win the game based on the current reality."

  20. I'm just going to say it: having Zach go long on his first throw with a glove and an injured hand is fireable. Leave whoever made that call in BC. The single dumbest play call I can possibly imagine. Would it have made a difference? Not likely. But the amount of brain rot required to make that call....
    6 points
  21. And here's the tough one. I'm not going to get into this now because it's late and I'm standing under the cold November rain smoking my second Monte Cristo number 2 and nursing three fingers of MacAllan... Maybe we'll get into this more as the weeks go on... But Winnipeg's Trinity has a blind spot: it doesn't churn the roster.

  22. good coaching/gameplanning would have used slide protections....roll outs and QB sprints....changing launch points.....motions....we didnt do any of that...we did the square peg in round hole technique

  24. What really hurts is letting brown and grant walk, then running out guys who can’t play at all. Wanna go young fine do it. But we didn’t. We just went with other old guys lol.

  26. I'm not a fan of the constant hail Mary deep throws. I miss the days where we grinded and had time of possession and would wear down defenses. Need the d to create a turnover also.

  29. Honestly it's a lot ******* better losing because you got your ass kicked than itnis losing a close game. There's no what if this, what if that, they sucked and need to be better bottom line.

  30. And yet Wilson threw a pass that wheatfall should have caught for a touchdown.

  31. I still can't believe how offside 32 was on the first pick six and that it wasn't overturned.

  32. Bottom line is this team just can’t figure out Toronto, it’s been like that since 2019. We’ve been outcoached in every single game against them.

  33. You could have sold me on that last year. 3 in a row and the run as the great Jim Kelly run of the north It's sad to such an awful embarrassing display of football today. This team has been inconsistent all year. When the odds makers set the spread I was thinking they were on Crack. This had bust written all over it.

  35. I think he's actually the right kind of guy to check Collaros a bit. Worst thing about our O in this era is the complete lack of willingness to run a quicker tempo and more of a ball control style offense when it is dictated by the opponent. Buck is kind of a "**** yeah, attack it" kind of mentality. But we don't have the D to support that by turning the ball over and haven't for at least 2 seasons.

  37. The most positive thing I can say right now is at least 2019 happened. Beat the drought in the last game Cuthbert called, not to mention the last pre-Covid one, when sports in general felt more important. In my lifetime, I did get to see my team shitkick their opponent in a championship game. I did not believe I’d ever be able to say that previously. At the time I said whatever the Bombers do after this, I’m good. Granted, trying to hold myself to that now is a challenge but this isn’t 01, 07 or even 22. Also, they still porked the Riders.

  38. Maybe. Biggest issue is guy drops a punt and then we're chasing the game instead of controlling it. Not really an adjustment aside from the fact Whitehead shouldn't be anywhere near a CFL roster in 2024. You talked about margin of error to win the game all week. We made that margin smaller and smaller with stupid mistakes mostly related to catching the ball. I think Dinwiddie trusted his QB and our D schemed like he wouldn't. We defended the big play, and Arbuckle just took what was there to manage the game. We lose our QB and it's basically game over especially since Wheatfall can't play pitch and catch with Wilson. I don't know what adjustment Dinwiddie made at half to break Collaros finger and have Whitehead drop a punt at our endzone. Dinwiddie had a great game plan and stayed patient. He knew it would be a classic CFL game down to the wire either way, gotta be in it at the end then the floodgates opened up for him with our mistakes and Collaros getting dinger.

  39. we will never know cause Osh will never...ever...EVER change the pace.....or replace an ineffective player....or drop an old vet.....or change his mindset......alter his philosophy....higly doubt evolve....and definitely wont change the smug face he likes at times when questioned....you can take that to the bank He will tho play his fav's...whether they best option or not....he will use excessive Canadians when he doesn't have to, even if they are not the best available player, or vital to the ratio....and he will every yr roster a guy for no particular reason that has no business being on the roster....and he will in a big game dress a guy or 2 who dont even touch the field...even with injury issues....or lack of performance...Last yr it was BOLO....This yr it was Samson....who's it gonna be next yr?????

  40. One thing the culture has lost...D and special teams used to be all about attacking the ball. Turning over the ball. Maybe specials still kind of is because we're one of the better teams at blocking punts, but how many games did we have 0 or 1 INT's/fumbles out of the D this year? We're pretty consistently losing the turnover battle and margin to win is a lot less. Seems like we got loaded up with star players and forgot how to win games, just leave it in their hands.

  44. Game over. Season over. Trophy presentation done. Congratulations on a 5 year period that I can honestly say I've never seen my own storied team come close to. I'm heading out onto my deck to have a premium cigar and a Macallan to toast another season gone. I'll be toasting you guys as well, hopefully we get to do it again in a year. And to all a good night.

  45. How few passing yards would he have to have to be downgraded to bad??

  46. Congrats to Toronto. They absolutely played well today. Dinwiddie maxed out that offense really well against our defense. Deserved to win it. Tip of the cap to the home team. What we accomplished was still an accomplishment. A lot of fun football and great times. Still the best era to be a Bomber fan in my entire life.

  47. This is insane. MOS isn't Dave Ritchie or Doug Berry. Top down they need to have some strong conversations on the personnel side about who is a player to help you win games and who no longer is. Bighill, Demski, Neufeld, Jefferson, Wilson, Thomas, Bryant should be somewhat obvious. If 4 of those guys are back next year we're doing it wrong. I think our personnel department is really struggling. As much as we're upset with our edge rush right now, I didn't see anyone in preseason who looked like a player. Receivers, pile of junk. Returners, pile of junk. We have a top heavy roster and we haven't balanced it out with great finds in a couple years.
