  2. MOS sticks to his guys, like many have said, to a fault. Whether it be his coaches, or his players. He seems to think there was little to nothing wrong with the Grey Cup gameplan, not ideal.

  3. Good points. Maybe edm offers a 2nd this year and a first next year, or maybe some one offers Extra picks contingent starts. Alexander is the better guy to get imo, but he’s a bit more of a project and less known. Hes this years Dru brown.

  4. He sure won’t. I don’t want a flogging. I want meaningful change. On the roster, it’s management, and at oc. Certainly seems the locker room is more of an issue than any point prior in mos career. I do not believe that the majority of the play feel that way. You think any dl other than maybe Willy and Thomas love him? Half those guys have spent more time in his dog house than on the ar. None of them saw the gc wins. Same with the lbers. I bet the dbs are more loyal to Jy. He’s hands off in the locker room, and lets the cos run their units. Newer guys aren’t gonna have that attachment to him. Even with the attachment vets might have, it hasn’t kept guys here in free agency or brought them back from the nfl. Kongbo Hansen grant Bailey, lawler, stove, darby, desjarlais, couture, hardrick, etc. lots of guys have left that spent a lot of time under mos. We’ve lost more in free agency since 19 than we’ve gained. Players like mos, and most of them like him as much as they do because he doesn’t regulate them. But the weight of that affection is measured in Pennies and milligrams. He and the mafia doesn’t have to say more than they’ve said. Be nice if they admitted the mistakes. But what’s really important is that they do more than they’ve done to fix these issues.

  7. No issues with Castillo, I never was worried that he couldn't make a kick. The punter on the other hand can go, an easy position that we should have a competition to see if we can find a guy who at least has the ability to make a huge kick. Numerous times last year we played against teams that had a guy who could boom it deep when needed which instantly flipped 15 - 25 yards for the other team.

  8. Yup i agree and if Streveler was healthy i believe that would of been it for Zac. It comes down to a hurt Zac over Wilson or Dolegala and MOS rolled the dice. T.O was using a guy nobody else wanted so it definitely was more than just our QB. We just were not good enough.

  9. No player worth anything is ever going to not want to play. Coaches needed to sit him down.

  10. I don’t think anyone wants or expects Coach to throw players or coaches under the bus, but some accountability would be nice. Some realization that mistakes were made. Sometimes you need to save a player from himself, because of course they’re going to want to go back into the game…. It’s how they’re wired. But the coach needs to decide whether it helps or hinders the team.

  12. I think Alexander is going to be legit, seems to have the it factor that it takes to win. If MTL is smart they'll somehow dump CF and keep Alexander. CF's media tirade will be unbelievable.

  13. The fact he's not even willing to give a bullshit answer, like we'll review all aspects is sad. Not unexpected but still sad.

  14. Agreed, we should get streveler back.

  15. I'd like to see a guy like Taylor Powell as our #2 qb.

  16. I think we gonna be just fine grooming Wilson for future starter...Obviously we are tied to Collaros for next yr...be interesting to see how he performs....and if we are smart we get Wilson into a lot of games with either set packages/reps, and or in any blow-out winning or losing.....sooner than the last 2 mins like we apt to

  17. What a sad ******* state of affairs for cfl quarterbacking when Vernon Adams is the hot sought after option...

  18. thats my main issue.....he has shown that he has no ability to do that....I cant recall any normal punt he has attempted that has travelled any significant distance....plus he is so slow at getting it off...I am truly shocked more haven't been blocked

  19. Either way... some sort of change needs to happen. It is unfortunate that Zach is making such a hefty salary as it would be nice to have enough money for a 1a and 1b. I don't know if a Davis Alexander would want to sign for a smaller contract only for him to hold a clipboard.

  20. Sheahan 3 steps while most punters use two. As he 3 steps he also adjusts his body to sidewind it. That all takes valuable time as there's a lot of wasted motion. I don't know what exactly they want from Sheajhan. Ball placement? Distance? Hang time? Ability to flip the field? He gives us none of that. Worst punter in the CFL. There are far better ones out there. Just have to find one which shouldn't be too difficult.

  23. Honestly with how defensive the team has been about the whole collaros thing i read that as they know... but oshea will never give in to the media and give them a straight answer. Just not his MO.

  24. I wasn't sure before but this clinches it. MOS does not understand the role of HC. He's happy, for the most part, to have the inmates run the asylum. But the coach needs to show leadership and make decisions. Even his QB reflected on the situation - would he help or hinder the team by returning to the game unable to throw? He asks the coach - almost hoping that he could be relieved of the responsiblity. Instead of stepping up and making the decision to sit the injured player - he kicks it back to Zach who reluctantly goes back in ... And then, not even reflecting on it .. wow.

  25. bringing up errors and how we can/could be better....and what was a mistake isnt throwing anyone under bus....it's being accountable and showing you have seen the issues and what needs to be cleaned up....correct me if I am wrong....and also as a professional coach/athlete thats also what you signed up for....being scrutinized.....comes with the job....obviously he has little clue and no intent on changing much....Osh way of doing tbhings and the secrecy and veiled answrs isn't a confidence inspiring method...considering whats transpired further confirms in many instances we have won games in spite of what he does....not strictly based on because of what he does....people cn keep denying it tho

  28. Arbuckle Masoli MBT Maier Ford Streveler Maybe add Fajardo to the list, rumour is Maas wants Cody back and Maciocia is pushing for Alexander to take over. Not enough #1 jobs to go around, a few of these guys are going to have to accept a drop in expectations and pay to secure #2 jobs. I hope the Bombers rethink the "all eggs in one basket" strategy and seriously consider bringing in a security blanket to avoid reliving bad decisions, which in turn create bad memory scars that will last a lifetime.

  29. Of the up and comers he passes the initial eye test the best in my pinion...and seems to have everything you want, and some poise....just need the shot That being said for us I would even go the route of open competition in camp at QB with bringing all the guys back. Who performs best...who gives the offence the most versatility and is hardest to scheme for starts Game 1....as we are paying ZC regardless so really does it matter who and how we use the QB stable? if that negates him to the bench as the back-up based on who win's out right.....how can that be a bad thing....plus you know if the QB1 out of camp stumbles you are more than ok with him coming in...and you would think highly motivated. If FIFO is as they say...they all starters....and are here because they give us a chance to win then nobody should have their panties in a twist. I'm 100 percent certain he will be back....and If Buck is gone....even better

  31. What choice does he have? He's under contract for the next 2 years and Rigmaiden said they will not be taking his wishes into consideration, it'll be what's best for BC.

  35. MOS's comments about retaining Buck unless he leaves as a Head Coach signals to me that its status quo ahead. I expect announcements before Christmas about Jake, Kyrie and Biggie being back.

  36. The one I noticed was on 3rd & 3 when Collaros threw to the flats and I think it was a knockdown. TO only had five in the box and it likely would have been a 1st if we ran.

  37. A lot of it is coaching & roster management. In other words, our HC.

  39. I kept waiting for our experiened recivers to really step up once Schoen & Lawler were out this year & it never happened. i was dumbfounded with the lack of production throwing the ball the first half of the year. Lawler once he came back had a couple of great games but never dominated, I'm thinking his arm isn't at 100% yet. Wolitarsky is the forgotten man at the best of times. Then he got hurt. Demski had a very quiet thousand yard season. It was like he was on cruise control. He got a thousand yards but really didn't do much. It was exciting to watch the development of Onterria Wilson into a thousand yard receiver but he wasn't dominant either. He has another year to go on his rookie deal. Let's hope next season he can blossom. The injury situation really had an impact on Collaros' numbers. It didn't help that we played a useless receiver in Josh Johnson for most of the season.

  40. Its frustrating to see us lose 3 grey cups in a row with many of the same issues but how many other coaches could have got us there 5 x in a row? After the western final we were applauding the coaches. To me this loss and maybe another one was on Collaros execution

  41. Man, of course MOS isn't going to throw anyone under the bus, just like some of us normal people don't throw our team members/others under the bus. It's nothing sainthood, it's called being a professional. However there is a way at communicating to others outside of your team that we take improvement seriously, here are the areas we are working on, here's where we know where we need to get better, when looking back we might have re-thought certain decisions we made as a coaching staff and as the HC here's where I need to get better. Notice no where in there did I point a finger at anyone. You way oversimplified the issue here my friend. Anyone who leads a team with specific responsibilities and accountabilities in a organization will know this.

  42. In fajardo's defense, there are qbs who go their whole career without getting to or winning a championship. Dieter Brock being among them. You forgot another sleeper who was hurt most of last season..... Taylor Powell. He'd be #2 behind Davis Alexander on my "Get List" if I was Kyle Walters.

  43. Why are we worrying about Trevor Harris for? Maybe if he played for us, his "vanilla" would have prevented us from going to the Grey Cup.

  44. USA player recruitment and Canuck drafting has been and continues to be the great strength of this organization, esp on the D side of the ball, but positive overall. HC & OC have become liabilities to the point where they cancel out the above.

  45. I used to love CF, but his personality wore off on me quite quickly. In his defense I suppose, Craig Dickenson would be painful to work for/with.

  46. so....maybe thats just him in regards to everything....his makeup.....to the team....management above him?....his fatal flaw....Not answering questions to media....or even reflecting on doing anything different is an answer by a guy with no answers to be honest...one whom thinks he's either right all the time...and or it's his way or the highway......well maybe that highway is a good option...
    1 point
  47. you want the real answer....cause we lack the ability and or mentality to in-game adjust....and rely too much on ...."well it worked before"......thats with scheme and player

  48. With the exception of a couple of games where Randolph was starting at guard, they were starting 6 Canadians on Offense (3 OL, 2 Rec, 1 RB) Ford in the secondary, Kramdi at LB That's 8 Canadians without even using the nationalized American rule Thomas and Schmeckel could easily have been used as rotational pieces only, with an American being Lawson's primary replacement I'd never claim to be an expert, but that approach would sure make sense to me

  49. Jake Thomas wouldn't take the heat he does if they didn't deploy him like he was 2001 era Doug brown.
