  1. Everyone one on the team wears horns, different sizes depending but still all wear. Win as a team, lose as a team. Ultimate team sport.

  2. Collaros has been pretty similar in all of the years he's been here IMO. The biggest problem is that every year we've given more money to our top guys, including himself, and not getting the return on the investment. Collaros is a good QB but he needs a great team around him if we're going to win it all (just like any QB). We've lost the last 3 Grey Cups to MBT/green Kelly, Fajardo, and Nick Arbuckle. Goes to show you, you don't need elite QB play to win a championship.

  3. The one word that needs to be permanently banned from this forum should be the word, DYNASTY. I don't ever want to hear that word again when it comes to this era of the Bombers from 2019 to 2024. Begone, not to be spoken of again.

  4. People didn't don't believe me...I been yapping about it a while I also talk to guys in room...and I don't wear a press badge....i Kudos to Hamilton for saying that...a media guy closer to.team than 99 percent of fans sees and knows it...Osh gonna put him in dog house now...cause he a smug sob who can't take ownership of fault...or blame

  7. In pro sports. If you're not changing you're not getting better. That's not to say all change is good or will result in better performances. Which is why that line of work can be so cut throat. But it still stands. IF they keep things exactly as they are. The bombers will be worse next season.

  8. I know a lot of people like Bailey for his emotions and energy. But he just comes off as performative and almost insincere to me. And always has. I will say it's a bit frustrating that he wasn't picked up by the Bombers, but at the same time I could see how his energy may not have always worked. That speech to the kids just amplified the self importance that seems to ooze from him. It's weird cause I usually like that type of energy in a player/person....but with him it just comes off a corny more often than not.

  9. Just finished reading the same article. The cracks are showing that I'm sure have been starting in the locker room. Oshea is stuck with his old guys he's loyal too at a detriment to our team. Great examples from Hamilton on Leggihio, the fiasco with Schoen and Biggie and now Collaros. This feels like the last hurrah.

  11. We have made the grey cup for 5 straight seasons and hosted 4 straight western finals.... a little perspective is perhaps warranted here... ultimately they failed to win the big prize 3 years in a row but they still have had tremendous success including last season. Anyone look back at the stamps of the 2010s and think they weren't successful? Or the als of the 2000s? They had plenty of Grey cup disappointments but they weren't touted as unsuccessful. Fact is that prior to the Bombers the last team to make 5 straight Grey cups was the 5 in a row Eskimos... that says something right there. People need to tone down the craziness and see things for what they are. Could be better in some aspects but could also be a ******* hell of a lot worse.

  12. Carey made a good point in a third down article about how Toronto went 16-2 last year, didn't win and then went out and got Ceresna. We on the other hand seem to value the status quo. I'm not calling for MOS to be fired but some changes like a new OC and the fond farewell to some aging vets would be nice.
    3 points
  13. The criticism of MOS is fair game. Booch takes it way over the top though, but it's discussion worthy. Not as big a problem as it is being suggested, but still something MOS needs to work on. It is idiotic to suggest he has lost the room, or this is some kind of last hurrah for MOS. That's just an extremely polarized take.

  14. MOS's comments about retaining Buck unless he leaves as a Head Coach signals to me that its status quo ahead. I expect announcements before Christmas about Jake, Kyrie and Biggie being back.

  16. The fact billionaires like Edwards and Tanenbaum are collecting revenue sharing payments from community owned teams to help support their teams should be embarrassing to these high risk captains of capitalism.

  17. What are you a communist? Only profits are private, all risk and expenses should be socialized. I am still ******* angry at the sweetheart deal the governments out here gave the Flames.

  22. Yep, nothing changes & no one in the media has the ..... to ask Osh or Walters about it. I wish Jack Matheson, John Robertson, Bob Picken & Doc Blanchard were around. There'd be a different tune being sung in the media if they were. They'd be asking all the questions that we'd want answers to. As I felt. Then maybe some of the posters just blaming Collaros for all our troubles should lay off.

  23. Goveia is a major loss, and a guy who would be a quality GM. Think McManus moving on would be good for us in terms of getting some new eyes in on the personnel side, especially in the US, but don't think he has a hope in hell of landing a GM job. He's like the Van Wilder of the CFL.

  24. Toronto has 8 guys within the box and 5 yards of the LOS on that play. Bombers have 6 blocking. It's in the Lapo breakdown about 20 mins in. That's a pull 100% of the time in RPO. Shitty route by Lawler and shitty throw by Wilson otherwise it's a pitch and catch TD at the back pylon. Really Demski was the only somewhat healthy vet outside of Lawler in the majority of games. Clercius started more than half the games. Crazy they didn't make a move on Bailey. We got eaten up by zone D because our receivers didn't know what to do and Collaros didn't trust them. Like you said, Wilson improved a lot. Wheatfall was useless all the way through.

  25. Sheahan 3 steps while most punters use two. As he 3 steps he also adjusts his body to sidewind it. That all takes valuable time as there's a lot of wasted motion. I don't know what exactly they want from Sheajhan. Ball placement? Distance? Hang time? Ability to flip the field? He gives us none of that. Worst punter in the CFL. There are far better ones out there. Just have to find one which shouldn't be too difficult.

  26. USA player recruitment and Canuck drafting has been and continues to be the great strength of this organization, esp on the D side of the ball, but positive overall. HC & OC have become liabilities to the point where they cancel out the above.

  28. Talking in general over the course of the season not the Grey Cup game specifically. Collaros and several of the rookie receivers could not get on the same page or took half a season to. It's not an easy plug and play spot. Schoen is the exception not the rule. I think if we had 1-2 more guys around he trusted we wouldn't have seen the offense stalling out as much. Like Bailey might be a couple years past his prime but a guy like Wheatfall out there was worse than useless. Midseason we know Schoen isn't coming back and even that Wolitarsky is probably not going to be available much if it all the rest of the way....crazy they didn't pull the trigger on Bailey.

  30. I wouldn’t necessarily hate it. It’s a high powered offence and good coordinators use the pieces they have, they don’t try to fit round pegs into square holes.

  34. Neither did Mario. The team owed him a bunch of money and was bankrupt. He used the money he was owed to buy them out. Different time though - teams are worth more now so it would take much more money to do something like that.

  35. The Stamps organizations have no facilities or equipment for their players. It's a damned embarassment for a city of 1.6 million. Why anyone would want to play here is beyond me. During training camp in May when smoke from forest fires were causing issues with safe air quality, the Stamps had no indoor facility to shift practice to. They had no choice but to cancel practices. Multi billionaire owner Edwards won't build an indoor practice facility for his team unless the City pays. Multi billionaire owner Murray Edwards could buy a tract of land & build a stadium if he wanted but City has to pay. He said no.

  37. Wouldn't want Maksymic as our OC. Might as well trade BO if we did that.

  38. I know they have to plan but not to mention the fact they are interviewing for another OC prior to no decisions made by BC/Buck.
    1 point
  39. Oh I agree. I just thinking it’s apparent that Osh ain’t going nowhere, Zach isn’t and unless buck heads to bc, he’s not either. There will be roster turnover tho. There always is and was quite a bit this year also. If a guy like Jake Thomas is signed, I’ll be the first to say ******* morons but until then , I’ll believe they see there are some issues and i watched that osh 30 minute interview and my impression was there are issues. He said guys will be back if we want them back. To me that suggests they don’t want some back

  40. A well written in depth article by 3DN, no other CFL media brave enough to turn over rocks like this.
    1 point
  41. Agreed, the CFL media grabbed this dynasty discussion and ran with it and in many cases twisted it into abject failure rather than a side-effect of a successful franchise.

  42. In the end whether O'Shea continues with an injured Collaros, rookie Wilson or an unprepared Dolegala I think the result remains much the same, the Argos were playing well as a team and would have found multiple ways to win the game. The issue was not having a well prepared capable backup ready to step in when Zach went down, which did happen in multiple games this past season. Strevy. may have made the game interesting if healthy but he's been out of action for over 2 months, so Buck had plenty of time to prepare a backup. Question is do they go into next season with the exact same approach, or do they learn from this and avoid making the same errors in judgement again?

  47. Brandon, I somehow missed your quote about some kind of change is needed. My response?? Some sort of change? SMH. What kind of change? Nothing will change until Mike takes it upon himself & leaves. He's the winningest coach in Bomber history. Do you really think he'll suddenly look inward & say that he blew it & needs to change or do things differently? That will never happen. What we see is what we'll get. Tommy, please step into a time machine & come back as the 1984 version of yourself.
