  1. I like his rule about the bombers playing in every grey cup game

  2. its an over spend....he's had 1 really good yr....can rush off edge, but even then when he was watched for jumping he disappeared basically....and if he cant get off a block he is useless....and washed away. He will make some backside pursuit plays, but that is when he has come free...and over shot...and isnt engaged to get back in the play....he's a decent rotational guy, and if he is on a dline where 3 other guys are being physical and responsible with gaps and run responsibility...then you can live with the deficiencies...I guess...but has a piss poor attitude...especially when being owned and when he is....his game totally evaporates.....over pay in my opinion for sure....CDN or not

  3. I get that he's CND and that will boost his value. But He's tremendously overrated imo. I'm glad they've paid him that much but I will be very surprised if BC feels like they get full value out of that. He's collecting on a half of a season of tremendous play, much like Rourke.

  4. Is he though? He's a one dimensional guy... someone like Ceresna yeah he's a dude you can pay an assload for cause he does a lot of things, but Betts? Too easily nullified by a physical game.

  5. Yup that’s an outstanding rule. Definitely a keeper.

  6. I don't disagree but the flip side is they are paying a third of Rourke's salary in marketing money. That's a lot of money to go around telling kids that the CFL is just an unfortunate detour.

  7. Our training camp mark in that report card just isn't good enough. It irks me to no end the way O'Shea handles it. We need our players to be there at every practice if they are legitimately able to practice. O'Shea has to stop letting players like Neufeld & other miss the entire camp because it's supposedly too hard on them. If players don't want to practice then they should retire or be cut. It's not a football resort. It's important prep for the season. That's on O'Shea for making it way too easy. Enough of the "He doesn't need to practice anyway". That has to stop. It should be, "Get on the field & practice". No way anyone who misses all of training camp & two exhibition games should be in the starting lineup on Opening Day. I don't care who he is. Another 0-4 start may turn into a 4-14 season.

  8. did the salary cap go up a lot? cause some of these signings in terms of $'s are head scratching. Calgarys Philpot ly 659 yds , prior to that was injured for the previous two years.. If I'm BC's Mckinnis I'm asking for 220k minimum.

  10. I knew Roger long before the Loveys days, hearing him called less than pleasant hurts. He always was an entrepreneur and worked for himself, I can see needing to lead and manage others being outside his safe zone. It just isn't something I ever experienced dealing with him in the late 80's early 90's.

  11. The team has to have the actual money to spend though. Not every team is making money.

  12. For sure I agree NR showed his true colors standing on the sidelines while VaJ did his thing but to my untrained eyes on MB, what an overspend.

  13. It must be nice to be BC and to not have a SMS to follow.

  15. I hope he fails miserably. Nothing personal against Buck..but it's the only way he can now help the Bombers.

  16. Which means they now have the highest paid players on both sides of the ball. Interesting that Betts is all salary and no marketing money.

  17. From the Sportsnet staff: 'To say the Nashville Predators‘ slow start to the season is confusing, after a summer filled with notable acquisitions, would be an understatement. Just ask general manager Barry Trotz. “Sometimes you can’t explain the unexplainable,” he said Thursday when asked by reporters about the Predators’ 9-17-6 start to the year'. I'll take a stab at explaining it. You can't buy a Stanley Cup. You can't simply buy high priced talent expecting them to gel automatically and integrate with their existing talent and work as a well oiled machine. I know it's petty but really hoping the Predators continue to crash and burn. No sympathy here.

  19. Helped find new ownership in Mtl, BC and maybe Edm. and oversaw the COVID mess. Also did not lose a team under his watch, which is a major accomplishment.
