  1. I’m okay having Neufeld here. By all accounts, amazing locker room guy and unlike a few others he actually did return to form

  2. Agreed. Plus he was much better once he came back from injury.

  3. Reality says it. Being half staffed says it. Mos and Walters even talked about how it was just the two of them doing the end season surf because of un certainty up front. You know the role assistant gms and COs play in free agency right? Or franchise stability with established vets. It’s been discussed previously in years where teams have failed to lock in their front office and staff and those off seasons for other teams have been catastrophic. From here, to local and national media.

  4. If we don’t have our front office and coaching staff vacancies filled before February 11th, it’s gonna look bad and hurt us in free agency. Both retention and attracting free agents. And it is no longer enough for us just to retain most of our fre agents. We need to be adding pieces again.

  5. We needed a succession plan to start replacing some vets .........2 years ago. Some of those guys may still be around, this season. This would be a big fail....

  6. From a certain point in the season and onward he was very solid from my vantage point. I think without him we'd be filling a gigantic hole.

  7. Mixed feelings on Neufeld, he was bad the first half last year but better later.

  8. And neuf resigns for his 12th season as a bomber. Boy he needs to play the year at the post injury level. We can’t afford to see him run out in that first half of the season turnstile mode again.

  9. Vezina and Hart... I mean, **** right off with any talk against Helle. The guy is all world and by far the biggest reason the Jets are among the top teams.

  10. WTF are you talking about? I wasn’t able to watch most of the game tonight, but what are you getting at? Our 2 time Vezina winning goalie, and front runner for it again this year, shouldn’t be playing?

  11. If they’re consulting the database, maybe they’ll finally give Jabari Arthur his shot

  12. All good points. We really need change and growth on the ol. But more and more I feel we will sleep walk into camp with the same depth chart as last year. With maybe losing Dobson in free agency and replacing him with Wallace the only some what likely change.

  13. Wait! Havent confirmed this by napkin, yet.....

  14. Heinola seems to be getting better. He makes plays and can pass. Stanley is just tall. Stanley Heinola pairing should never happen tho. Detroit had 17 shots in period 1. 1 0 after 1 was only Helle. I’m kinda surprised someone is getting on Helle considering Stanley was playing every other shift for 12 minutes in the 1st. 0 and 3 last 3 games. Stanley over 20 minutes all 3 games. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

  15. I’m okay with Neufeld back…. Hopefully we’ll have a better C next to him.

  16. If the rumours about a lingering injury left over from the 2023 season were true, that would explain all that. Neuf is a good guy and effective when healthy, so lets us hope he is over whatever was limiting him, and hope further that he doesn't have to compensate for a new right guard and incompetent center. There's a fair bit of money to be gained by dumping at least three veterans who, frankly, were not worth their salaries.

  17. Yeah thinking neufeld took time to get healthy is all. I'm ok having him back.

  18. What a ******* boring game to attend. Jets looked disinterested for the first 20. 0/2 to start the 8 game home stand

  19. Says who? Exactly? The pundits on here? or?

  20. Garrett is never impressed with Jets, a bit of a hate on. Probably all those years playing us. Oh and can someone tell Stanley to STOP SCREENING THE GOALIE.

  21. Singh and Garrett.... Sigh.

  22. Maybe, but we at least for sure know we didn’t do anything else with our 2024 cap. Those contracts wouldn’t need to have been announced by the club, but they would have needed to have been filed with the league before Jan 1 and nothing was

  23. Exactly the same people would complaining about bringing back vets and status quo. I love this. Not to say some of our guys won’t be back but gotta take a long hard look at some of these players and hopefully be more active in FA

  24. The way some folks talk no signings should be good news right

  26. Mark H.

    All things considered...

My take: they could have made some improvements at some positions, but there were many games where they were lights out. They didn't fare as well against the two best teams - it was clear all season that the Argos' had their number. That's sports - sometimes an opponent matches up well against you. IMO - you can't consistently depend on pressure in the current CFL. Officiating is letting OLs getting away with a lot more holding than in the past, and that's not likely to change any time soon. But I do think the Bombers have tilted a tad too far in the other direction. It'll be interesting to see what kind of tweaks the Bombers make - but there's no need to throw out the baby with the bath water.

  29. With Bourgoin going to BC... it all but guarantees our new OC will be an external hire... which could be a good thing... I like Jarious Jackson or one of the guys from Toronto - Can't-stand-ya or Miller (I also just think it would be fun to have two coaches named Mike Miller)....

  30. Yep. Bourgoin is interesting. Guessing he wasn’t high on the list for oc candidates. He’s a good coach but even more of a lapo guy than buck. That means hogan and Costello are the only possible hold overs on offence. Meanwhile most of the rest of the league has finalized their coaching staffs. I hope we aren’t waiting to the point it becomes a detriment. I would bring in Jackson as the oc and promote Costello to run game co.

  31. Bourgoin, Charbonneau, McDiarmid and Young we're all Bombers coaches, at least at one point, right? Buck loading up a decent staff...

  33. Going after personal accolades cost us again. Tell Hellesuck to take a seat. The team comes first.
