  1. Are we still stuck on the six figures thing in 2025? Things have changed. It’s not 2006 anymore **trigger warning** even Jake Thomas makes 100k+

  2. That’s 2/5 on the yikes scale. Demski is a 4/5. Those two are a 5/5 for Edmonton. Holm Kramdi and Demski will do fine here. Edmonton can’t really be sure what to get for all that cash. Yeah his elite quickness should yield a lot of on ball plays other than knock downs which were down last year for him. Idk though on one hand he’s 26 he should be able to to take a step forward. On the other he has already started 2.5 seasons worth of games. I honestly don’t expect him to improve or diminish any time soon. If he does take a step forward I’ll be pleasantly surprised. If any thing he got worse last year. Tremendous mental toughness from him though. Never lets adversity break him.

  3. One thing that needs to be mentioned about the Riders is... they were a 9-8-1 team (so effectively .500) with a +26 (!!!!!!) TO Ratio. A team with that kind of Ratio you would expect up above 13 wins, so they WAY underperformed their TO Rate. You have to think that Ratio comes down this year... even if they end up at an Above Average of say... +10, how much worse would their record have been at that Ratio?

  5. And from that rotten tree, the Bombers decide to pluck Shea Patterson.

  6. It’s fairly close to it these days. Most numbers I’ve heard suggest the low end for players on any contract beyond their first is about 88-92k, plus incentives

  7. So Kramdi and Holm make as much as Smith, not bad.

  9. Same. I hope his cardio is improved from last year and he’s stretched out for the long schedule. More rotation would help him and our dl a lot. I really like Adam’s as a 3 tech, and 4i. But he had strong flashes at nose and 5. I love his versatility and insane athleticism. If he takes the sophomore step forward he’s gonna be a huge piece for us.

  10. I mean if at any point in the season the Bombers are trotting out someone like Patterson at QB they are ******, and it doesn't have anything to do with the fact Patterson is on the roster. It's not a new phenomenon that GMs in sports have a "but I can fix him!" attitude either

  11. I view him as a guy being brought in to create depth. When he and Dolegala get cut we have a couple guys who won’t find work elsewhere who know our system if we face and injury later on in the season.

  12. Patterson wasn't a particularly good passer in college either.

Off topic, but I recently watched the Avro Arrow again. Brilliant performance by Aykroyd.

Aykroyd said no... Apparently in poor health. Carvey has been on all season so I think he willingly stepped back a bit for this. Absolutely loved Garrett Morris introducing the painfully ironic Belushi video.... For all the old timers out there, they can't say they weren't recognized. Basically every one of Lorne's eras was represented.... And even a bit of the awful Doumanian era. I'm a particularly big fan of the 2010-ish era that had Forte, Sudekis, Hader, Samberg, Armisen, Moinehan, Kenan and Wiig... With Meyers and Mulaney writing...I'll go to bat for that as one of the best ever, if not THE best ever... And was glad to see a lot of them get work in last night.

  22. lol at riders at 1 in the meaningless ride the riders **** February power rankings. Honestly. 3Down never gonna be taken seriously allowing **** like that. 1 guy makes that with the ticats pretty much and that’s a bigger yikes than 2 guys who make more impact on a regular basis.

  25. Guys like Aho and KC aren’t getting that extra 1/2 second, extra 1/2 foot of space to react to do their thing they are so use to getting in regular season NHL.

  27. IMO and with all due respect, as I don't mind their articles when they are just info, but this is a new low for 3DN. I mean, at least mention the possibility that teams could still fill holes via scouting and recruitment. Rider bias aside, to rank a team with track record of the Argos that low, is a fool's errand at best.

  32. https://3downnation.com/2025/02/17/3downnation-cfl-power-rankings-elks-off-season-splash-creates-ripple-but-doesnt-moisten-podium/ By soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It’s is trash, and 3dn the dump. Arise, fair 3dn, kill readers brain cells and pander harder. “We can already hear the accusations of pandering to Rider Nation from fans across the league, but the reality is Saskatchewan didn’t need to do a lot in free agency to climb our rankings. The culture created in Corey Mace’s outstanding first season as head coach made sure virtually every player of importance was re-signed, including veteran difference-makers” One of 6 teams last year with 9 wins or more. Yet they hop soo hard on the nuts of the 9-8-1 riders who got slapped around in the wf.
