Gotta hope (and there are signs of it) that this year will be back to having competition in TC and not just extended practice before the season starts. Wallace, Eli, Randolph should be gunning for those inside spots.

Our home jerseys are gonna be their 3rds this year. What are we gonna call them now? Winnipeg practice cats. Tiger bombs? Steeltown baby bombers? Oskee mini peg? Black and old gold?

If they wanted to replace kolankowski Eli has been there for years. This is a case of the team sees the guy differently than we as fans do.

150k for McKewan probably means Sask was his only offer. 160 for Campbell to me seems like a serious overpay. last game the riders played they got smoked by the bombers in the western final. Perhaps a little less praising the riders. To me praising the riders makes you a rider prider and that’s the worst insult on the planet. that’s great that 3dwn and others are jacking off the off season champs, that means they gonna suck cuz whoever 3dwn verbally jerks off never wins. Call it the tsn maple leaf effect. The riders are the leafs of the CFL, media loves them but they don’t win. Riders have 3 cups on their history and 10000 ppl per game dressing as green seats. I don’t get the love affair there. They aren’t good. They don’t win and in their history don’t win. Like the leafs last winning a cup in the original 6 era, don’t get the hype but please hype away cuz hype always means they gonna suck and the riders will suck again.

I don't know what your point is. Basically every starting quality Canadian OL in this league is retained unless they are trying to play in a certain market. There was not a single impactful Canadian OL available in free agency this year.

Depends on the match-up. Despite their flaws, Jets have had some brutal first round pairings the last few years (St. Louis who were on a heater and won the Cup, Edmonton who we swept, Vegas who won the Cup, and our reward for a 110 point season last year was playing the 106 point Avs who were two years removed from winning the Cup). No one seems to factor that in when considering our ouster each year. Hopefully we see Vancouver, Calgary, or even Minnesota in round one this year.

I’m all for it if it gets him off the tv. But really, if cfl were smart, I’m not sure they are, but if they were they wouldn’t be looking at a guy who looks like he could drop dead any minute. By that I mean they need to be younger. CFL needs a younger commissioner. Suitor probably day 1 would be like we are renaming the league the Canadian Football League Featuring the Saskatchewan Roughriders. We’d all have to type CFLFSR. Would just be awful. Cuz suitor the type who would rename irrelevant things and think he’s done good. That’s crazy talk tho. Nobody renames pointless things for stupid reasons.

I don’t even think that it’s about how they view quality. I don’t think they value the C doing much more than snapping. It’s a role position for them. The value they put on 6th, 7th ol and fb is nutty as well. it’s been his whole career, it’s just become obvious to the point that teams have game planned to get to zach through him for two years now. But to be fair, basically every plan of attack worked against our ol most of last year.

In one signing, Logan took out Augustine and Lucky.

Augustine was a ST dynamo but never gonna be a full time RB. This is not a huge loss.

They’ll have to use an NI backup elsewhere but Peyton Logan signing pretty much pushed Augustine off the roster on offence and MCI can take over as the ST/RB depth

Augustine is a guy I hate to see go...but i get why he wasn't a priority. He'll go down as a "oh what could have been" player for me. Cause I think he had what it took to be a starting RB.

Yes they absolutely can lol. See Bo Levi. He had tremendous stats last year. But they came too little too late. Which basically sums up Harris' CFL career. If harris has proven anything as a qb in the CFL it's that stats will absolutely lie lol. Remember when the bombers played hamilton and they had the ball on the final drive and had to score? What did they do? Who controlled that drive? Now Remember the banjo bowl when Harris had an almost identical situation. You let me know how that played out. Those two games nicely sum up both careers imo. Collaros isn't perfect, but I'll take a guy who has proven he can get it done multiple times, even if it's ugly over a guy who puts up stats but has never gotten it done.

I believe the new OC told Strev that this season would be different otherwise he wouldn't have re signed. I'm excited to see what the offense looks like this year. Also there was video of Strev throwing yesterday with Chad Davis and it looked like he'd never been injured. That man is a freak of nature.

it's never an over pay for a Canadian Oline man...especially a young one who layed well...and still has upside...DB's..recievers....Lb's...there so many churned out in the NCAA you never have to over pay if your scouting and talent assesment once you get them here is legit...other than the every now and then guy who comes along and is a true difference maker,,,then you get them in your room and adjust elsewhere to make it work...You should be able to do that paying 5..6 guys on your roster premium money if you have built a roster wisely..thats active and PR..and other than a real stupid contract...what is an over pay?...especially when we for most part have no idea of the SM structure a team has...That being said Walter's mindset of X amount of dollars to this group...X amount to that and not wavering is a bad practice....you need to be able to recognize where u may get good bang for bigger bucks and be able to adjust accordingly too Harris is probably the most brittle QB in the league...and is a perenial non-difference maker...and aint gonna change that moniker pushing 40 yrs old
