  2. Bombers and Sea Bears are both a more enjoyable game day experience than the Moose.

  3. Part of it is definitely value for the money you pay. My daughter and I can go to a bomber game for half of what it costs to go to jets games. That plays a role. I find when we go to jets game I’m wanting more. I feel I don’t get our 300$ worth but at bomber games I can sit in the family zone and get my cash worth by half time.

  4. If one was forced to choose one option, would it be 2nd line Centre or a 2nd line pairing D man for the Jets? I lean towards a 2nd line pairing D man based on our existing depth.

  5. How can you say the CFL is not a developmental league with probably 75% of the players on one year deals hoping to impress some NFL team by playing up here? Or the ones with 2 or even 3 year deals can leave to work out for an NFL team in the off season despite being under contract? The CFL wasn't considered a developmental league until we went hat in hand in the 90's to the NFL to bail us out after the failed expansion experiment or the CFL would have gone belly up. Even though the CFL paid back every penny of the $$$ owed to the NFL, that's where the one year deals of today & players having a window to try out in the off season comes from. Instead of trying to grow the game in Canada, the CFL has embraced this idea that by becoming a developmental league, it will attract better players at the expense of making it a stronger league nationally. Even Canadian players who come out of U Sports with dreams of big bucks & fame in their heads just sneer at the CFL as a place to play because they believe that we are nothing but a developmental league. That they are too good for the CFL.

  6. He’s been on the food network a few times also. First time I saw him I’m like is that the former bomber and sure enough. good guy. Fan friendly. Remember meeting him and was very friendly and then gone not long after.

  7. A city of 750k vs a city of nearly 2m. There just isn't the financial appetite for that much hockey in Winnipeg. No way the city could support all 3 leagues. They're barely able to do the two pro hockey league's, never mind major junior. Winnipeg just doesn't have the money, both corporate and public, that bigger centres do.

  10. I kinda felt bad watching it. I feel they would have been forgiven and with the popularity of “Monsters” prob would have revived their career lip syncing or not.

  11. Stanley on the 2nd pair is ridiculous. I just don’t get it. Fleury isn’t a great skater, but he’s much more fluid than Stanley. It’s a low bar, but… Heinola is a good skater and puck mover, but small, so they don’t seem to want to give him a chance…. At least nowhere near the chance Stanley has had. Salomonsson has been playing well with the Moose, but won’t get a real shot until maybe next season.

  14. For anyone who hasn't seen. https://3downnation.com/2025/03/01/riders-rb-a-j-ouellette-reveals-25-pound-weight-loss-newly-shredded-physique/ I looked long and hard at it twice in my life and decided it wasn't for me. The risks were just not cutting it. I've trained and worked with a considerable number of guys who juiced. Everything from Micro doses /trt to mega doses, etc. With that preface, is it possible for AJO to make that cut without gear? Sure. If he's never done an extensive body reconstitution, has done minimal weights in his past, and has been a lazy eater, it could happen. Realistically, he's a 29-year-old running back. I can't imagine he hasn't been dragged through the weight room at least a few times a year for extended periods each year for the past 15 at least. Now he doesn't have the typical RB build. He's got chicken legs, especially for a 200+ lbs short RB. I don't believe they test in the offseason; that would be way too hard and expensive. At that age, it wouldn't make sense to add a bunch of dense muscle mass as he's probably done the day he loses a step. But if he was going to reconstitute his physique, he should've focused on leg power, then leaning out. He looks like he's been trying to body build more than build for performance. If I were the riders/fan base, I'd be worried. This 29-year-old RB looks like he's hit a heavy cycle and cut for an amateur bodybuilding contest. When he's played 43 games over 5 seasons, 15 once under 10 3 times including more than 2/3s of last year. He's often been in a platoon and still had considerable durability issues. Guys who hit a hard cycle for the first time late in their career, reconstitute, then go into a football season are glass cannons. Riders better be ready with back up RBs.
